Looks great, can't wait for the b model. Could use a bigger bucket, but I figure you are building with what you've got, so I'd say the build is even better.

Ok, I do understand what you mean with the thin 4L's in the rear 'suspension'. But don't know what you mean about the 6L axle in the grager control, I do see where it is, what it does, but why change it and how exactly? I am new to all this, so maybe it's just something everyone else can see, so please do explain. Thx

Maaboo, you have to admit, the set lacks in some areas, a few areas - the looks, the colour, somehow strange functions. Giving it the tires everyone is excited about probably meant to cover up some of the shortcomings. The 42050 is probably the worst set of the 1h 2015 bunch and there's always someone getting the blame for all that's bad in the world - this time it's the funny car - not so funny on the european side of the pond.

[REVIEW] 42048 - Race Kart

Think that's one of the high points of the set, maybe, just maybe the transmission elements' price will drop :) -

Every time I look at Sheepo's creations, I'm amazed by what you can build with Lego -

[REVIEW] 42038 - Arctic Truck
pgplay replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The set is a looker, you've got to admit it, but what it gives in looks does not make up for what it lacks in functions. I really wanted this set, badly even, when I restarted my adventure with Technic about a month ago. Than I learned more and more about what a good model can do, mostly thanks to this forum and YT. Right now I'm a bit disappointed with the Arctic Truck - smaller sets offer more functions and teach you much more. Jim it was a great review nevertheless -

Every time I'm impressed, how tight some of you can build - that's something I need to learn. Impressive build, can't wait to see the next steps -
Mini Dakar truck
pgplay replied to Krall's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
:) I know that's cruel and all, don't have much to show for myself, but that was my first thought. Performance is impresive, I must say, goes like stink (wanted a rocket, couldn't find one) -
Sariel, the situation would actually be funny if it wasn't so real and tragic. I very much appreciate the things you do, to be honest, a lot more than beeing handed instructions. What you do is give us an idea and tools to creat something of our own. Making simple copies of someone else's work is dull. Ignore idiots and keep doing what you do best.

As sad as it may seem, I never had a dark age, the closest I got to Lego Technic, when I was a kid, was 5590 Whirl and Wheel Super Truck. Meaning it shared some parts with Lego Technic, had steering. That was when I was 8, my Lego life was killed by a computer. Took my almost 25 years to find out how much I missed it. What brought me back was the 42033, bought for a nephew of mine, didn't give him much chance to put it together himself. The next day got my self 42027, put it together, took it apart, and started building whole lot of different things with parts from that set. Got myself some old technic parts as a bundle online and started buying more sets. Waiting for the holidays to get some sets for xmass, so I know what to buy next :)

I'd say that a technic fan will find his way around a problem, the other sets, more suitable for kids need more attention in the deaign fase, so the end user doesn't mess things up and gets a nice set with matching colours :) You get lots of axles in grey and black, you might find a way to make other colours work, hell, you may need them in these other colours, so put them in a nice little box untill their time comes.
