42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
roppie11 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
it's a pity though that the mining truck is included.why would they do that? did they really want to put as many parts as possible in one set? well, i'm not entirely sure but i believe that's how they normally work with these machines. They put on the wheel, and than slowly rotate it. then they drive several meters and do it again and again untill everything is dugged away -
Your expierence with fake lego clones products
roppie11 replied to YellowCorvette's topic in Community
i was once given sluban, a sort of lego but only about the army. tanks, fighter jets and so on. But the quality was terrible, the pieces didn't fit nicely. the biggest mistake was a fighterjet with two left-handed wings on the back. so the left one was good but the right one was the other way around if you understand. There was also a helicopter but it just missed several pieces and there were pieces in the wrong color. i just threw it away and i kept going with lego. i have nothing against compatible products, or maybe exactly the same, but i hate bad quality products. -

Why are Eneloop Pro batteries good?
roppie11 replied to Technic Jim's topic in General LEGO Discussion
i once read somewhere that lego uses 12v motors, so that it is hard to destroy them. i wouldn't use 11 volt though. -

42043 is not MKIII because it was licenced. i believe 8110(unimog) was also designed by markus kossman but that was also licensed. EDIT: oh wait, forgot to read last page. sorry for saying something that's already been said -

roppie11 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i don't want to be a 'not so nice guy' here, but please shut up everone with 'is it rc?'. We will find out in august or maybe earlier if it is rc, but if it was visible on the pictures, we would already have found out by now. let's please discuss something else, about the 42056 of course. -
a quick test if i can embed vids, now, it didnt work in other topics for me. edit: yay it works, i removed it.

i don't really understand what you want, (my english is bad) but have you ever heard of bricklink.com? it is a sort of ebay/marktplaats(For dutch people) where you can buy lego stuff. parts, sets, boxes etc. -
Uses for differentials
roppie11 replied to aminnich's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i'm making a moc at the moment and have a wip topic. i used a differential for a 2 stages outtrigger, like 42009. i only have to use one motor to do 2 things. or you can use it like this to for example steer a shovel. -
