    42008 also has a pretty complex gearbox. It also has pneumatics (which i consider pretty useful, especially with the contest going on) and one BIG linear actuator (LA's) and small LA's. I can really recommend that set. price should also not be very high since it is already several years available. (120 eur. in The Netherlands) you can find almost everything in the superb review of sariel about the set added: wait, maybe it is getting more expensive because its getting rarer. The cheapest i could find (in a minute) was 120 and the video says 109,99

    is it allowed to use a "motorpump" (like 42008 or 42043) as a handpump? i dont have a handpump like the volvo one. I don't see it forbidden in the rules but i would be sad if i get disqualified you knoww

    Well. such a system would of course be super awesome but i'm fairly certain we don't get that. Since this is an 1h set (right?) i expect a pretty normal truck with a container-trailer. sometthing like this: but i could of course be wrong, i hope so tbh

    well, picking up stiff might be a problem, but transfering it to the truck is not a problem. 95% is pretty good for a pile op plasic

    one does not simply ruin a big LA, there already is a clutch in it. try to keep turning when it is at its end and you will see nothing happens (except for some grinding noise but that does no damage your LA immediatly)

    does it have ackermann geometry? what would the diffences be, with vs without?

    I have learned html 5 and css3. Right now i'm programming a site for this lovely oldtimer. it is an old dodge beep from second world war. it has been turned into a firefighter car. the first one for my village. behind it is a pump to get water. the pump didnt work anymore so this winter we have revised the pump. we're almost finished and i thought i might be a good idea to make a little site where you can read something about it. btw, the car has served in oostkapelle and not in domburg (as written in the picture-link)

    maybe you can look at 42037 and make the pivot points a bit wider. the pivot points are 15 studs apart i think. or do you want a total width of 17-19. in that case, i dont know

    well, if you look at the end of the there are pictures from the other angle and i can't find an axle on which the yellow ring turns. Instead, i think it is driven by one or more 8 tooth gears which are in touch with the ring. I'm not sure about the conveyor but i think it is driven somewhere at the back of the arm.edit: added link to video

    Well, maybe you should look at fun per piece. i have 42009 as well, and i have also built both models, but then when im "mocing" i use the same parts again and i could not complete a moc (not that i ever do) witout that one specific piece. Then the set is even more worth its price.

    I asked sariel if he had seen something in the lego head quarter, in the bilund fan media days but he didnt know anything. Google does also know nothing but this is going the wrong direction. lets get back on topic
