Don't like cutouts on torsos usually. Makes it much harder to swap arms or heads if I want to. Yes, blue would have been better. Is it just me or is the blue on the cutouts a different shade from the arms?

Looking closer at the dragon torso, I can't understand what the knight has instead of a chain mail beneath her head. Extension of the grey helmet?

I was foolishly hoping that when opened there'll be a printed shield hidden inside the workshop after all. Too bad... With the piece count from the original nearly doubled (185 vs 365), even though they used BURPs (that I'm really fond of), I really didn't expect the interior to be so... small & empty. No pots, magic potions etc. Can hardly be called a workshop or even storage room. Certainly not worth 250$

First minifig leak of the 2024 lineup on reddit! It's an alien with a green regular head with three eyes and a classic space inspired torso.

If there have to be remakes than just for GWP's please... I want the medieval world to expand, especially when it comes to more realistic heraldry and armor.

I agree 100%. I'm really worried that we can expect more simple remakes in the future...

The poisonous breath of a dragon has clouded my vision... that's easily the least interesting throwback sets of all. The box art is just so poor that it hardly even looks genuine (compared to e.g. 40580) Majisto is as expected an average figure but the knight is a miss - the silver helmet and this particular type just don't fit the Dragon Knights. A regular foot soldier with a black helmet would have worked (also on the box) much better. But thankfully it's easily fixed. The missing of a shield is hard to understand. Some sort of an animal would have been also nice (grey parrot in the original) The build - looks a bit out of proportion/too high. Is suspect the workshop has again hinges and the lock (on tile with one stud) closes the whole building. That's why the door can't be opened. Not perhaps the best solution, but I can live with it. I still have some EOL sets on my list that I really want to have - but if it wasn't for them I'd have skipped this GWP. Let's hope for something more interesting when the medieval village finally arrives!

It looks very good, but I have the impression that the main body with the mechanism is too big in relation to the transparent cockpit or the wings. I'll try and downscale that part and make the landing mechanism more solid, like in various source pictures.

Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
brimbolet replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think it's great and more interesting than the 40600 projector GWP. Maybe they'll make a Donal Duck set one day based on the 'Out of Scale' Cartoon... THAT would be awsome! -
Only if each set had at least 4 minifigs "for display" - otherwise I would consider it a real waste just like the brickheadz...

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
brimbolet replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
more rumored space related sets: 40712 Space GWP in January; 40687 Space GWP in May; 40715 Alien Pack in May; 40716 Alien Habitat in May -
All the versions are great, but I like the sliding doors with the open viewports most. Really dislike how Lego puts just flat tiles on their own models; that's why I'm still on the fence about their latest gunship. Thanks for sharing!

Forest Hideout GWP used Forestmen torso, hat, red plume, shield and the target round tile from the anniversary castle or blacksmith ideas set. Let us hope that this will happen again, and the Dragon knight will be reused from the upcoming medieval village. I would be greatly disappointed if Lego would just throw another Lion knight instead...

The upcoming space sets sound like a lot of fun with aliens, asteroids and finally a smaller (alien maybe?) spaceship! The burger truck could be very nice too.

With The Rings of Power and War of the Rohirrim we get TWO Middle Earth shows in 2024! I think Lego could easily pick 12 figures for a CMF line that wouldn't include the characters from the fellowship!

LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
brimbolet replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I adore TCW, but dislike nearly all Palpatine/Padme episodes so I'm not interested in the figures. The setting/color maybe even size is far from perfect, but I'm still missing a gunship in my collection. Really looking forward to see in depth reviews, so I can make up my mind... -
VIKING VILLAGE Ideas set via Target vote
brimbolet replied to jtooker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Judging by the current situation, I can't believe somehow that the rumored price is true. It's either less parts or it'll be more expensive. I'm not into viking or winter location sets at all but my castle collection is in such desperate need of a (peasant) village, that I really look forward for some leaks. -
If Lego decides to stay only with big location sets, then the next one must be Helm’s Deep (good guys again); after that it’ll be the Orthanc. But the LOTR theme would benefit immensely by introducing affordable (!) diorama sets of various sizes every 6 months. 300$-500$ sets or even more in the future even if they are excellently designed, that's just too much. The bridge of Khazad-dum or the Witch-king/Eowyn duel would be my favorites.

Very interesting, but instead on changing or adding (too many?) details to torso prints etc., I'd prefer Lego would focus on quality. I've been looking carefully at the various pictures from different reviews and the printing of the white belts/shirts on the blue torso needs an immediate improvement! 2015 bluecoats were not perfect but available at least in cheap (discounted) sets. Just recently I've found the musketeer torso from CMF series 4 in a BAM tower and the white on blue print is superb. Or the falcons knights, everything perfect. And after seeing my favorite bluecoats now this... Now I'm even more uncertain what to do...

I doubt it. I suspect the development of Eldorado Fortress was (long) before the announced price increase form August-September 2022 & the following negative comments. I rather think that Lego didn't want to risk another ship, even one for the Bluecoats, as an 90th anniversary set after PoBB recently retired, decided against making a big (civilian) harbor set, since they already have the rumored medieval village in development or even finished - and the two sets would be much to similar so only decent sized option left is some sort of fort. And since in late 2021/early 2022 the idea of a Forestmen Hideout GWP must have been discussed and accepted they settled for the easiest way.

BTW what happened to the "Ninjago monkey" mould from 2016? Is it lost or something? Honestly I think it's better that Lego didn't bring some old parts back from the vault - with the exception of the mentioned monkey perhaps. The asked price would skyrocket and I'd have to skip the fortress just like the anniversary castle. Anyway we get new sails and that's a great bonus!
-
It's brickbuilt; it even uses identical parts for the hull as in Smarath's MOC in my opinion.

Wow, just stunning and truly epic! What a shame that Lego's own catalogues aren't as good and inspirational as this. Thank's for sharing.

He should consider himself to be lucky to have an army position at all... he didn't even catch captain Redbeard in all these years! Probably his daughter saved his job
