  1. Yeah but that's not the point. I'm paying $600 for a model, it better be perfect
  2. Actually, I haven't seen anyone mention this, but what's the bet that the reason the model looks badly shopped into the box art is because it's actually embossed? It looks as if the embossing has glossy printing on it, and the rest of the box has a matte finish
  3. IN OTHER NEWS, something I do find odd is them flipping the box art to begin with. Is the box gonna be shown off backwards on shelves now so that customers can see the actual car? Does that mean we're gonna see ugly stickers on the front? Ultimately it's a box, so it really doesn't matter, but I'm not sure what they were trying to achieve here lol. It kinda seems dumb. I'd be interested to see the other sides of the box, to see if they provide a shot of the rear.
  4. I find it hilarious that yours truly is having a ree about it being fake, and yet he doesn't even address the fact that someone would have had to design a fake Lamborghini Sian model and box art to begin with. There's zero gain in doing so.
  5. The only real improvements worth doing in my eyes would be to do with iterative improvements: 1. Bodywork techniques (for the moment I’m much happier than I was looking at the Chiron and Porsche) 2. Streamlining drivetrains 3. Improving suspension systems
  6. Damn that thing's dank
  7. Bear in mind, we're only seeing one angle. That being said, from what I can process in the image, the tail doesn't seem as top heavy as it should. HOWEVER, and as I've mentioned before, it's not accurate to compare the two pictures. The Lego model is in perspective, whereas the drawing is purely orthogonal. Furthermore, the Sian is very pointed in both its nose and tail. As a result, the proportions on the Lego model are all sorts of messed up, because the perspective shrinks the centreline length of the car. We need proper photos from different angles to get an accurate representation. I think for the moment a more reasonable thing to criticize would be the doors and the black wedges, as well as the huge tail fins. I think there's definitely room for improvement there. The wedge behind the rear wheel hasn't been replicated very nicely either imo.
  8. The side view of the render also doesn’t have perspective like the set photo, so there’s hidden bits. I really hope the back looks good
  9. I'm not asking anyone to sacrifice anything here my dude, I'm just asking Jim for his opinion since it was tolerated before. I'm not sure you've understood the nuance here. Yes they would, they'd just be made by people who had to buy the sets to begin with.
  10. The latter, to be quite frank. The reviews will come in, regardless of whoever gets free sets. In any case, this is why I asked.
  11. Bazos is an online shopping website like eBay. I think someone found a listing there
  12. We hadn't yet seen the official leak, and the bootleggers generally have stolen official and community designs, so we just dismissed it as that (with good reason). Evidently, and quite shockingly, it appears that we were completely wrong But the fact that it's wildly different to Lego's one in every way, as well as the fact that we've never seen the design as a MOC previously, suggests it actually is an original. No I mean the link in the bottom right corner of each individual frame.
  13. Presumably the website in the bottom right corner in the images
  14. @Jim Given the past discussion about CaDa allowed (because of their original designs), what are your thoughts on discussion comparing it to MK's Sian? I ask, since surprisingly it appears that MK didn't steal a design for once, and have even presented a (imo) better looking alternative.
  15. Oooof, gotta say the leaks from those who shall not be named looked better than this one :S
  16. I remember that 42061 didn’t gel with me because it was a ripoff. $50AUD was frankly ridiculous, that thing shouldn’t have been any more than $40.
  17. Yeah so I was mistaken. 42110 was known to exist months in advance
  18. Hoooold up hold up, I don't actually remember anything. For all I know I could be mistaken
  19. At least none that we know about. Didn't the Land Rover suddenly jump out of nowhere completely unexpected?
  20. I mean, everything you're saying is meaningless because you aren't providing any evidence. The bootleggers already have their own version of the Sian.
  21. You can't just use a MOC that the community knows at large exists. It also doesn't address my earlier comments:
  22. No you didn't. The fake has a full Lego model on it.
  23. No I mean that I don't understand what point you were trying to make with that picture Do you have anything to support that statement?
  24. I don't understand what point you're trying to make here
