  1. Like we've been talking about previously, we're not sure. Some of us (me included) are certain it's almost a direct copy because there's no way this particular bootlegger, whose set designs are always stolen, would suddenly release an original model that looks so accurate. Others think the bootleggers hired someone to build an original MOC.
  2. I agree... only if you don’t have the pieces. But if you do, like amorti does, then there’s nothing to fret about. In any case, @blaz62 the onus is on you to change the description to explicitly mention the extra parts, because while unlikely, some people might not have them.
  3. That being said, in the promo pic they don't look like they stick out tooooo much so it might be fine after all
  4. Interesting... I don't like it It makes them look weird af
  5. Of course I read your post. If having three extra common pieces is seriously that big of an issue to you then I think there's bigger problems going on here. If that's your opinion that's fine, but it doesn't entitle you to a refund. You wanted instructions for a MOC, you got instructions for a MOC. If you had only said you thought the model was crap and not worth buying, then I wouldn't have even responded to you. What ticked me off was the demand for a refund.
  6. I dunno about you guys but I think that's just pearl gold with the same rough finish as the Defender wheels. Also, are those the same tyres as in the other two cars we got? They seem slightly thinner
  7. Oh the horror. You paid money for trophy truck instructions and had to use three extra pieces of which you have plenty of spares. This is the risk you have to accept when buying unofficial models
  8. What you don't have two extra 6632 pieces and a 2L axle lying around?
  9. Personally, I'm cool with not discussing bootlegs in the same analytical review-type way that we discuss current sets, since this is a Lego forum after all, but I feel like all our discussion here about the leaked bootleg Sian has been heavily related to the matter of IP theft and both it and the leak's effects on Lego, etc., so I don't feel that it's out of place (though obviously I don't have any authority here).
  10. It'll probably also have a transmission, fake engine, suspension. Same deal as what the Chiron and 911 had
  11. Dude, literally EVERY single MK Technic bootleg is stolen from a Technic MOC. IP theft is their bread and butter. It isn’t prejudiced in the slightest to rely on historical data say there’s 0% chance their Sian is an original. I don’t understand why you think this
  12. Do we reckon that brake caliper's a new piece?
  13. I'd argue that it's not even the motors which are the problem, but rather the battery box
  14. This is a fantastic comment dude, I love it. I think you should post it in the MOCs vs sets thread. There is no excuse for bad suspension or a poorly designed drivetrain, especially in a premium luxury product, other than inexperience and a lack of understanding. It’s nothing to do with compromise. I’m definitely incapable of designing a good gearbox myself, but I know well enough that what is currently being sold needs to, and can be, seriously improved.
  15. What, TLG buying Rebrickable? Of course it would
  16. Again, lmao at all these B-models better than the A-model. Thank the gods I already have the pieces to build this.
  17. How much of an effect would swapping out the springs for soft ones have?
  18. That is some bomb-a$$ Bionicle-CGI-tier rendering lmao, I love it
  19. Why would it? It allows for smaller and therefore cheaper gearboxes.
  20. ...he said to the set designer himself. nice
  21. Agreed on both parts. Man 42052 should have had collective pitch, what a shame.
