  1. Pressurised air is much simpler than you think. All you need is a chamber with a narrow hole for air flow to be restricted. The internal air pressures aren't gonna be anywhere near as high as would be required to rupture the chamber. I'm almost certain it'll just be an air damper like the last one in 8285.
  2. It’s the same line as the other two so expect something similar
  3. Like the set’s great and all, but seriously can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful cool bearded guy is lmao
  4. Oh sorry you're right, the entertainer was the Charger. All good!
  5. I'm not sure about that to be honest... it wouldn't make sense to have clutch engagement on a brake disc. Not when you can just clamp on to the rotor with soft 2L connectors anyway.
  6. I'm hardly surprised though, that thing was massive
  7. All that's left is to bet on the price. I'm guessing $60USD, or ~$110AUD. My logic is that Lego's gonna shaft us because it's another luxury VW Group license, and the BMW (not VWG, but also luxury) was $80AUD without the gearbox or fancy new parts. Heyyy, nice! It's only $90AUD. I'm thoroughly impressed. Prices are as follows: AU: $90 CA: $100 US: $70 UK: $55 Lol, looks like everyone but us Aussies got shafted this time round
  8. So that's half of the 2H sets with pictures now - the A60H, the Ducati and the Charger. All that's left is the concrete mixer, the tiltrotor and the fairground thing. EDIT: And the Bugatti. Fairground was the "entertainer", which ended up being the Charger.
  9. Damn, I'm amazed they've included a gearbox. Massive props to them and Ducati. The bodywork is a bit patchy but who cares, it's Technic. I dig the new shocks and fat tyre, really happy they've decided to include them.
  10. I don’t think he’s surprised. He’s saying he disagrees with it. No idea if the price is considered steep on this because I can’t gauge its size properly for some reason, but I dig the build. I feel that since I need to break out a picture to compare proportions and can’t tell if anything’s wrong by myself, I’d say the designer did a great job
  11. Technically speaking 9398's suspension also only worked because of slack
  12. Oh lawd that’s beautiful I know this would stray from 9398, but how would replacing those two 6L links with a single panhard rod go? Technically speaking that suspension only works because of slack in the system
  13. As long as we get to see that suspension moving up close
  14. Yeah agreed. When you have someone designing something as complex as 42082, then rolling out a stinker like 42108 you know there have to be commands coming from the brass.
  15. I wouldn't be sure about that. I doubt any of that stuff would affect MOCing at home since I highly doubt they'd be allowed to take prototype pieces home.
  16. Sooooo, no CaDa discussion here at all? If that's the case then I think it would be worth moving this topic to the Community Forum, since we're really only here to talk about the AE86 model.
  17. I dig this compact gearbox... this competition has so many good entries it’s ridiculous.
  18. Damn that’s hostile... you’d think they’d adopt a more positive relationship. What’s the bet this is a symptom of their obsession with the bootlego market?
  19. Lmao that’s the touchiest crap ever, f that. Clearly the brass wants yes men
  20. Oh lord that sounds horrible. I wonder how long that's been the case, and if it's the reason that so many 1H Technic sets look like the most dispassionate things ever. Speaking of designers, do you have any videos/knowledge as to what behind-the-scenes stuff a set designer's job entails? I've always wondered whether the "we're paid to play with Lego" image PR like to push is true
  21. Hehe I dig this. I'd love a video on the functions
