The other thing that makes it super obviously fake is when CM4Sci said "hey guys, I faked a box to show how easy it can be. Please don't believe them all"
-
This is the image CM4Sci posted on Reddit with the title "This is how you fake a box.". It is not real https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/6ejhl4/this_is_how_you_fake_a_ucs_falcon_box/

It's on the UK site now, I've just had a look. -
It isn't "fake", it's a MOC that somebody created boxart for. It has the set number "2016". You can't find the flickr images of it from 2016.
-
But the image has the MF with the classic radar dish, so Jakku wouldn't make sense.
-
It's been said by fairly reputable people that it is coming. We just don't have any official images or details yet.
-
I've had a look at quite a few images, and I can't tell the difference between the old version and the new, looking at details like smooth plates and greebling. Plus, you can buy a Force Awakens radar dish with what appears to be an identical build on eBay. To me this seems to just be someone taking an old image of the UCS Falcon, putting it on a box design and taking a blurry picture.
-
Another "leaked" image of the Falcon is over on Reddit. Personally I don't see it being real, but who knows... It claims 6274 pieces
-
I really hope not. That just opens up to even more ridiculous over-pricing from people who just buy sets to sell on eBay. Lego is a toy, it's designed to be opened and built so a "special limited first run" will just encourage people to keep it in a box, locked away.
-
I'm pretty sure someone just said "wouldn't it be cool if they announced it on Thursday". It was never a proper rumour as far as I recall.
-
Apparently I am one of very few people who don't see the issue. It's a totally different colour scheme, which gives it a completely new look. Plus, unlike Obi Wan, Luke looks good because the colour is consistent between the torso and legs. It looks awful on the Obi Wan figure.

I saw someone with a Lego bag in London today. It looked like he had the Arrowhead set. It's possible the Leicester Square store has it early. I haven't seen it in any stores myself, though.
-
The R3-M2 polybag is available in the UK now. You can get him for any Star Wars purchase, so he's really easy to get hold of. I imagine it's designed to get even more money from us right after the May the Fourth deals end. http://i.imgur.com/pLUcQlI.jpg

Like plates being wedged into clips (which is allowed on the newer, stronger clips), it's about putting unnecessary strain on the parts and the stability of the build. This is a single stud wide plate between only 2 studs, so there is no strain on the parts. Additionally, it is not a structurally important aspect of the set, and unlikely to be a part to be knocked off frequently through playing. As a result, it clearly got through into the final set. -
The Snowspeeder and R2-D2 polybag are available now in the UK.

I know you know what you're talking about, but some guy posted both this and a Wayne Manor one on Reddit back on the 1st. The general consensus from people (including myself) was that he'd made them up for April fool's day. Are you certain this isn't a fake made up to look like the internal documents we've seen before? https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/62r7yg/75192_millennium_falcon/ https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/62qslt/70918_wayne_manor_coming/
-
That picture is the April Fool's one. At the very least it has identical wording - "slightly updated characters will excite collectors". A company wouldn't ever want to advertise their product as "slightly updated". They would simply say "updated"
-
There's a full droid (body and head). If there isn't a droid slot, and the head it attached to the wing separately, there is likely somewhere for the body to be kept.

I'm sure it isn't just nostalgia, but I think 7143 looks better. It certainly has better proportions as far as I'm concerned, and doesn't have that ugly cockpit section.

Well yesterday was disappointing. I wonder why they moved away from weekly information/pictures/reveals. -
No. We get 10% off for the full time, and 40% off one set each day for the duration. Same as Europe.
-
No, they had set numbers and the various sized black boxes with "confidential" print on them. No actual details beyond set numbers and costs.
-
I know, what I meant was that it isn't an exact science. We need to try a look at how pricing has worked before. It gets even more complex when you try to work out the randomly assigned prices in GBP, they never follow any patterns. Life would be so much easier if we could just directly convert the prices. Still, nice to know I'll need to find a lot of money by September.
-
Lego prices are never as simple as a direct conversion from one currency to another, and they both gave fairly similar numbers. It's close enough to give us an idea.
-
The biggest set has a price similar to that of the Arkham Asylum set from The Lego Batman Movie, which gives us a rough idea of the size of set to expect. That one was about 1600 pieces.
