I wonder if the wording has been confused and when people say Kylo's TIE and TIE Bomber they are actually referring to the same set. Seems like it could be a case of Chinese whispers happening around the rumours.
-
You're right. It is literally a list of the things they want to see included. The only thing they seem to claim as a fact is the set number.
-
Maybe he means for Rogue One, there definitely weren't walkers in episode VII. It isn't a B-Wing, it has a totally different design. The ones on the planet are B-Wing like, but still not the same. The ones in space had a totally new design.

Some people claim they are UCS, other people say they aren't because it doesn't say it on the box. For me, I consider all the models with the display plaque as ultimate collector's models, whether or not they are officially part of the series. At least $600, more likely closer to $800. It apparently comes with Hoth variants of the MF crew and a mynnock, as well as characters from The Force Awakens. It is very big.

Isn't the UCS logo a fairly recent addition?

21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V (LEGO Ideas)
nikhkin replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The real winner is LEGO, since we'll both buy it either way. Edit: They've released another picture. This one shows us the size of the command module, which seems to be faithful to the original project (not that there are many piece options as an alternative). Shame we didn't get any more info than this. https://www.facebook.com/LEGO/photos/a.10150175674793403.303596.6665038402/10154596945588403/?type=3&theater https://twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/852870954254577665 -
21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V (LEGO Ideas)

Personally, I think the exact opposite. I hope they keep the stand and minifigs, but don't care about them including fuel tanks on the inside. To me, they don't add much (just some extra pieces on the inside), and they won't be seen. Plus they admit on the project page that the version with fuel tanks is less stable. I think the stand is pretty much essential, since the design will likely otherwise be at risk of falling over and breaking. -
The fact it was not shown at the toy fair indicates it is an exclusive set. Beyond that I don't know of any further information.

Everyone seems obsessed with A New Hope. The Millennium Falcon appears in 4 different films at this point. The last one featured the cast from A New Hope. In order to further differentiate from the previous set it makes sense to have this one represent a different film. There's no evidence this set is supposed to be in any way related to the films anniversary. Plus, the rumour from Stash specify Hoth variants of the minifigures, at which point the Mynnock makes perfect sense. The most memorable scene of them in those outfits and on the Falcon are the asteroid belt and space slug.

Thanks. Based on other set prices I would guess it'll be £110 in the UK. £100 if we're lucky. -

Where did you get the price from? -
Consider the price change for the Death Star, a set that was re-released with only minor changes. It seems entirely plausible that a similar scale UCS MF would see a $100 increase in price at least. With modifications and more details, going up by more than that is believable. It may be a lot of money, but some people will certainly pay for it. Bear in mind that people currently pay more than that to gradually buy the old one brick-by-brick. $600-800 for a set I don't have the room to display is certainly not a price I will pay, but that doesn't make me think Lego wouldn't release it with such a price point. Plus, if it's designed to emulate the ESB appearance of the Falcon, why wouldn't it include a Mynnock?
-
It seems that not many people are considering the possibility of the new model being smaller. The old one is known to have not sold overly well (part of why it now costs so much). Part of that is likely the scale: not many people had space for it. The new version could well be larger than the standard "playset" versions, but smaller than the old UCS. Being smaller would allow it to better hold itself together, as well as allowing an interior without necessarily adding a substantially greater piece count.
-
All our prices increased in January. For most it wasn't that noticeable, with a lot of big sets only going up by £10 at most. Obviously with a set that was nearly £400 it was a more significant increase
-
I don't want to doubt anyone, but surely stating whether or not we will have an interior is a 50/50 detail. It either does or doesn't. Hardly the kind of specific detail to prove yourself to the community in the same way as being able to specify the type of printing a minifigure will have etc. Interesting to see some slightly harder evidence emerging. I have always been doubtful of the new Falcon, mostly because I've got my hopes up for sets before and this is the closest we've been to actual confirmation. Before this all we had was a few people saying "yeah, it'll probably happen". The downside being $600 is an absurdly high price that means I probably won't be able to afford it and I probably won't have space for it. Based on the pricing for the Death Star, it looks like this could be at least £500 in the UK. I really hope the mentioned possible price of $800 is for a market other than the US.

What makes you say that? The Ideas Project was of a similar scale, and suggested the inclusion of Minifigs. The Helicarrier isn't Minifig scale but includes them. A display set typically includes standard Minifigs even if the model is not in that scale. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Isn't that just the old Killer Moth helmet with some pen drawn on? I wouldn't be surprised if the leaker just didn't have the Bossk head and used something to make the figure look more complete in the image. -
Nah, you aren't alone. I don't like the price, and don't think it's very UCS-y, but as a play set it's nice. The bounty hunters look good.
-
I really don't think this makes it any more credible. You could ask the question "Do you think they will ever make X as a theme/set" about anything and get the response "it is possible".
-
There is no probably. There is still no evidence it even exists, besides people becoming obsessed about pictures in the backgrounds of boxes.
-
The other thing to take into consideration is that, whilst the Clone Wars was on TV there weren't any new Star Wars films being made. Now there are so the majority of sets are being focused towards that, rather than a TV show with a much smaller audience than the movies.
-
I had no idea Ocado sold anything other than food! Well they always have Spider-man sets available, and as far as I know last year's sets are still on the shelves.

I'd wait. The offer has only just begun so more will be available in future. Plus the longer we wait, the more likely we are to find out about a wider release. -

Doubtful. Lego Dimensions is published by Warner Bros. I doubt Disney will let their properties go near it.
