  1. I don't think so. I'm sure it had been a while before hand because when I saw the poly bag information my first thought was that I could put it with the DO
  2. It really isn't that small. When compared to the Palace Cinema and Fire Brigade it's only a couple of cm shorter of the main building. Those 2 sets are only significantly taller due to roof-top details like the bell tower. I'd estimate that the flat portion of the roof is the same height as the PC
  3. With the correct colours I like it a lot more. Still not pleased with a laundry, but that can either be hidden or re-worked as a small shop. Not overly thrilled about the interior (especially overlapping plates on the top floor by the balcony and stairs), but I really like the appearance of the front of the bank and that's all that'll be seen on display
  4. I'm torn about this one. I like the bottom half The top half is ok I guess, but not thrilled about the window colour I'm disappointed to see a laundrette. To me that doesn't fit in the time-period of the other 1930s-ish modulars. My plan is to have that round the corner on the side you wouldn't see on my display They don't seem to be supplying any bank robber figures, so perhaps there isn't as much of a story/play features On the other hand, the rope, hook and air vent look ideal for robbers It looks like it may be missing the back-left corner, so that it is an L shape rather than a square
  5. That seems fairly logical. If that's the case then it raises the hope that they are printed pieces and not stickers
  6. I originally thought the 2-piece "Public Call Box" sign was because the whole front would open up, but there is a single piece above the windows that would make that impossible. It seems like an odd design choice to use 2 1x3 plates instead of a 1x6, especially if it is a sticker. That's 8 fiddly little stickers to try and line up perfectly or the sign will look wrong. I do like the use of opaque window pieces to create the panels!
  7. I think it very much depends on the scenario: People wouldn't mind a re-release if there was another WV set coming out. In this case it seems like people are missing out on something they look forward to yearly There seems to be more demand for access to older modulars than older WV sets, especially when the earliest modulars are for sale for over £1000 on ebay, and the cheapest I have ever seen was £800 If the only modular building next year is a re-release we may well see some similar disappointment, although because the desire for these sets is greater it'll be less common I imagine The other factor seems to be that this is not the WV set most people wanted to be re-released. A lot of comments seem to be people who would rather see the train return instead of the toy shop.
