  1. I think of Dragon Masters as a continuation of Black Knights. Their fighting was more of a civil war, internal. But speaking of combined factions, I found it odd that there are 2 different Lion factions listed. Crusaders and Lions are the same faction. I always considered all of the Lions to be the same faction, from the original Lion Shield in "Town Square - Castle Scene" (1592-1) through to today. And to be honest, I always thought of the Crown faction as the same faction, too. So basically, ALL Dragons belong to the Dragon faction, and ALL Lions / Crowns belong to the Lion faction. They don't need to go so far when reinventing. Same goes for Nexo Knights (x1000). Hopefully, they only do these drastic reinventions to get more people interested when they finally bring back real Castle sets again. Yes, please. I'd love this book. I'd even be interested in storylines, but not so I can make them my own. It's just interesting to me to see what the original ideas are. I completely agree. Take note, any of you LEGO employees known to peruse these boards!
  2. They're all lava, what's the distinction? I suppose there are small differences in the minifigures, but... Me either. I guess next years sets will have a different theme. While I liked the bad guys at first, it's becoming overkill on the bright red (and yellow) lava people. I would guess they'll use the spiky vines that the Plant Monster from CMF Series 14 had. Anyways, overall these shots are interesting, but they haven't made me appreciate the Nexo Knights theme any more. Maybe when I see some of those Wave 2 sets, I will feel differently.
  3. I love that there is a monkey. My favorite LEGO animal. I hate the grey / orange color scheme.

  7. In which way are you talking? Killed by Tusken Raiders or killed by Emo Lightsaber? It would be tragic for people whose parents were killed in that way, but I don't think any exist in this galaxy. I'll take 2!

  11. While I agree that they often look odd together, there are still some great ones that look just fine in my opinion. But this is also an argument for remakes of older sets. For example, classic Forestmen did not have any printing on the back of the torso. They could upgrade that, maybe add dual molded arms in green and tan, and dual molded legs in green and brown or black to give the impression of boots. I'd love to see them revisit a lot of the older, outdated sets and figures with their new techniques and technology, bringing them up to date.
  12. That could be nice, but those are usually very simplistic. I'd much prefer Creator Expert.

  16. Nice build! I love how every building has an interior, it brings a lot of life and detail to the overall project. The prison cell in the basement is a very nice addition. The stones on the roads look great, and each structure has a nice unique style. Good job!
  17. This is a fun build with a lot of nice little details. I love the brains and bones. The lava flow looks really nice, too. Good work!
  18. Very nice little town. I like how all of the buildings look different. Are there interiors on any of them? I also like how the streets are irregular, making for interesting shapes overall. Nice job!
  19. This is a very nice build! All of the structures are really well done, do they have interiors? Great job!
  20. Nice little build. I really like the way the columns look, it's a nice touch. I would have liked to see more variety to the colors of the books on the shelf, maybe dark green or dark blue, but it looks like you worked within a color palette, which is kind of nice in itself. I like the look of the shelf with the little box on top, and the chair is a nice compact build. Good job!
  21. If you find a store that has them out early, but chances are slim on that. I found CMF Series 14 early at Target and Walgreens and was able to get just about everything I wanted. Some stores told me they weren't supposed to be on sale yet, others said it wouldn't ring up and asked me to tell them the price so they could enter it manually. I found the C-3PO Polybag at Toys R Us the other day, and they said it wasn't supposed to be out until Sunday (today), but the manager let me complete my transaction and removed the rest from the display. So it's possible you'll find Nexo Knights early, but it may be hard to find a store that has them out on the shelves, and harder to find a store that will let you buy them. Also, it probably won't be a LEGO Store (although the LEGO Store near me was selling Scooby Doo before the street date, and when my friend phoned and complained to Customer Service that the Mystery Machine was sold out before the street date, they gave him bonus points as an apology, and free shipping on his online purchase of the set). Best of luck to you!
  22. Well I'm not sure if they are indeed inspired by these other companies, but it does seem like it. For example, the crutches in this series could have been inspired by other crutches, or they could have been in the development pipeline for quite some time. It's hard to say, but I like to believe that they are seeing potential in the parts made by others.
  23. That's a very interesting read. While I wasn't around to be a fan of Time Cruisers, I do vaguely remember some of the Timebusters stuff. It's always fascinating to me to find out how a Theme, or even a certain wave of a theme, came into being. Thanks for sharing this story with us.
