  1. I really hope that they do not decide to do this with any princesses. I think minidolls are horrible. These iconic characters should be made available as iconic LEGO minifigures.
  2. Fair enough, but you know what I really meant. Hopefully a polybag in the future. He's such an iconic character, and while it's nice to get a shout out in the form of his painting, it's the character himself as a minifigure that would really be exceptional. Kind of like how everyone's clamoring for a Merlok 2.0 minifigure in the Nexo Knights line, rather than just a flat hologram sticker on a trans red panel.
  3. unique
  4. Exactly. There are probably a lot of things that slip through the cracks of such surveys. Entire pockets of statistically skewing people could be missed. But we should get back to the point, talking about future sets in the Castle theme. My fault for derailing, I should do my part to rerail.
  5. I'd think more like the Castle ones, since this is in theory a Castle theme, but you may be right since it's clearly an Action theme. But yeah, I think they could be done more effectively as the Chima Tribe packs, and I'm now thinking that would actually be the style more likely to be released. I would hope they would include Lance in the Knights pack (since he doesn't have an Ultimate build) and the evil guy with armor in the villain pack (because I want cheaper access to that minifigure). They would probably use the trans red banners seen in Fortrex in place of the banner style in Chima, I would think. Off topic, why was there never a Tiger tribe pack? Orange tigers, not the white saber-tooth tigers with torn zombie flesh and ice limbs. Also, I fully expect a princess dress version of Macy, especially after seeing both the skirt piece in use with the CMF Queen, and the princess hat / hair that has been seen. It just gets more and more likely.
  6. I would sincerely hope that it is not a single unarticulated piece. That would be awful. Short unarticulated legs are bad enough. I would prefer peg legs, and I wouldn't really want that either. I'd specifically want the original leg design. I doubt we would get that, as it would be 2 new molds in addition to the headpiece, and a possible pan flute, but it's what I want. I'm also not too keen on those faun legs. They look cheap, and are also unarticulated. They're also not LEGO, and I'm personally a bit of a purist.
  7. We have Cinderella minidolls, true, but we don't have a minifigure. I would suspect that they would be more likely to do a classic animated Cinderella minifigure before any other variants. I would also hope for this.
  8. please.
  9. Good review, and I agree with you on most points. I think Smaug is a great design. I love when LEGO makes creatures like this, it's one of my favorite things about LEGO. That said, I prefer the black dragon (mostly a color preference) as I have no specific attachment to this Smaug despite being a Hobbit fan since reading it in elementary school. I always pictured Smaug as having 2 legs, 2 arms, and 2 wings. The movie version, which is captured very accurately in LEGO form here, has only 2 legs and 2 wing / arms. I also felt that, while there is a decent amount of gold included, there should have been a huge pile of gold and treasure in this set, and it should have been mostly chrome rather than pearled. I do understand how that could have inflated the price significantly, however, so I can see why it was done this way. Overall, it's a great set for the minifigures and dragon, but the set itself doesn't look as good as it could have, and the use of stickers is frustrating.
  10. If they did battle packs, I'd expect them to be like the 2013 Castle packs with 4 low-ranking minifigures and a very small build: I'd like them as well. Hopefully I could get that armored evil minifigure without having to buy a set I'm not jazzed about.
  11. toast
  12. The set looks fantastic so far. Can't wait to see interior pictures. I'm really hoping for a full Ghostbusters theme, but to be honest I just want Vigo the Carpathian.
  13. I'd really like to see official Disney versions of the Disney princesses, and I'm still hoping to see them in this CMF series. I really think it was a missed opportunity to do minidolls for Disney and Elves, as I'm sure a lot of people avoid them because of that fact, but I do understand why they did them that way and I know that some young girls have been drawn to LEGO by these dolls.
  14. That is spectacularly detailed. Wow. There's just so much going on, and it really captures the busy urban feel that I would expect of a Coruscant build. Really nice overall. Fantastic work.
  15. This is a really nice garden! I love all of the details. The statue looks great, and the walls look fantastic. All of the plants are simple, but beautiful! Great work!
  16. It's a great design, and your modifications made it better. I really don't like brick-built creatures, but if you're going to do a dragon this is definitely the way to go. I like it a lot. Nice job!
  17. And if they did such a survey, they'd have to do it at every retailer that sells LEGO products to be completely accurate, and that's not going to happen.
  18. I highly doubt they will do battle packs that include much more than a single knight (if any) and a bunch of those blue armored goons. On the evil side, I'd say it's far more likely since the characters lend themselves to the idea better. But they would probably do both if they did them at all.
  19. Basically what others have said. I think the more likely outcome will be the new headpiece and a new pan pipes piece. That, along with other figures getting more new molds, makes me think they will be less likely to include the new leg design on the Satyr. It will likely be a great figure either way, but the legs would be a major wow factor.
  20. I have the Ariel hair, and I think it looks fine on minifigures (as long as you are OK with the color).
  21. snogging.
  22. I think he will have dual molded arms to reflect the short sleeves, but beyond that I think they will be the same as any other minifigure.
  23. dogg
  24. That's a great point, and it is true in the case of my brother as well. And me, as an uncle.
