LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

I think it would still work. And to everyone who wondered about the Clumsy Guy's head wrap, it's definitely a new mold. Not a bandanna. -

Yes, this. It would look more like a yellow person wearing a white outfit. As of now, it looks weird on the sides and top. -

I don't like that they chose white for the ballerina's body. I think it should have been yellow with white printing. It looks odd. -
That would be an excellent gesture on their part, but I highly doubt it. In fact, I think the bear on the Knight's shield is their way of sticking it to classic Castle fans. It's like a reimagined Santis bear from KK2, the most reviled of all Castle themes (when it is considered to be one).

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes

That's refreshingly good news! He also seems to have dual molded legs, which is a nice plus! If only I liked his shield. I love the mold, but not the print. I hope the mace is 2 pieces. More versatility that way. -
The C-3PO was part of a promotional giveaway. From my understanding, they aren't supposed to sell them. They always do when the promotion ends, though. And sometimes sooner, if you know the right stores.

He looks like he's smiling to me! Great for a reimagining of Santis from KK2, if anyone is into that kind of thing (I'm not). She's a baby, and while her head is a monstrosity for LEGO, her body works well for a baby that can walk. This baby is certainly more of an infant. I love the Knight more now, whether scary, dark, or sinister. It looks like he has dual molded legs, which is great. Man, I love the Shark Suit Guy and Satyr. Great series, overall. Thanks for the hi-res images! -
Polybags are generally giveaways, so they aren't intended for purchase. At least that's how I've always seen it. Of course, once the giveaway ends you can usually find some for sale (if they aren't LEGO Store exclusives). Like C-3PO at Toys R Us.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Absolutely on both. Beast and Belle would be great minifigures. If they also have Sulley, I'm going to be very happy.- 4,155 replies

Well there are certainly a few that will be useful. But 3-5 minifigures twice a year is hardly enough to satisfy the Castle audience (or at least me). I'm not too keen on the bear heraldry, personally. It's like the boar, in that I like that they are releasing new heraldry but I don't really like what they've picked. I actually see this as more of a remake of Santis from KK2, which doesn't really say much, although I like this far more than Santis. I'd like to see more generic shield designs that are not tied to a specific faction, to be honest. But yes, this series has some nice minifigures and I am certainly happy. I will be getting several, with duplicates of some. If only they would use some of these great ideas to produce Castle themes and sets.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes

That's the saddest thing about this. We see the potential, but no sets. That's too bad, I would have much preferred him without the bear on the torso. But for Castle, I love the Satyr, Scary Knight, Queen, and Winged Warrior. The Kendoka and Tribal Girl will fit in for me as well. Happy to see that Egyptian shield in use again, this time pointing down. A good omen for the future of Castle. The Farmer's pig will definitely be useful as well. -

Actually, I was hoping for a feathery version of the Gargoyle wings. With the armor, that wouldn't have worked, but I'd still love a mold like that. Maybe better this way, since it looks like they would have been gold and I would prefer black, white, or grey. A Black Swan minifigure would be excellent. Hope to see one soon. I agree, better than either a 1x4 or 2x4 piece! I can definitely see this piece being re-used in the Disney CMF series for a princess ball gown. Top 3: Satyr, Shark Suit Guy, Scary Knight. Bottom 3: Ballerina, Clumsy Guy, Janitor. Farmer and Animal Control would have been last if it weren't for the animals. -

It sure looks like it. I agree. My thoughts on this blurry preview: Wrestler - Looks sort of like the Ultimate Warrior, my favorite Wrestler. Might get one. Concierge - Not a bad take on a janitor, but not for me. Kendoka - Can't tell what this one is going to look like, but it doesn't look particularly bad. Might get one. Jewel Thief - Pretty good. I love characters in black, I always find them useful. Might get one. Astronaut - Nothing special, but I like the flag. Might get one. Winged Warrior - Really would have preferred a new wing mold like the Gargoyle's, but I love the helmet. Wondering what the pants look like. Might get a couple. Tribal Girl - Love the baby and the feather. Not sure how the rest will look, but seems promising. Might get a couple. Laser Robot - Not too interested, but I like this robot's color scheme more than the others. Body could be useful Might get one. Farmer - I don't care about the farmer, but his hat could be useful, and he comes with a great pig. Might get a few. Ballerina - Looks like you would expect it to, but I'm not into ballet. The skirt piece is nice. Might get one. Satyr - Excellent. I love the overall design. Looks like new legs, which is awesome. Printed flute is better than the stick that came with the Snake Charmer, but Pan Flute would have been better. Will get a lot. Queen - Simple design. I like it. Can't tell what the skirt size is. Thinner, I might get one. Thicker, I might get a few. Shark Suit Guy - Perfect shark suit. I love it. No complaints. Will get some. Scary Knight - This is a nice design. I like the prints. Not what I was expecting. Would prefer a more generic shield, but the new shield style from the Egyptian is nice. Will get some. Clumsy Guy - Not impressed. I like the idea of crutches, but he looks even clumsier the way he uses them. Would have preferred a different crutch mold. The banana shirt and head wrap are nice though. Might get one. Animal Control - I don't care about the animal control officer, but the net could be useful, and she comes with a great skunk. Might get a few. Must haves so far: Satyr (many), Scary Knight (multiple), Shark Guy (some), Tribal Girl (some), Farmer (1+), Animal Control (1+), Winged Warrior (1+). Overall, this is one of the better looking series. While some are overall uninteresting, they all have something I like. I'll have to choose wisely. Thanks for sharing the image! -
Of course they have Tron lines, they couldn't just make peasants that would work for Castle themes! The intro pack character looks like a mash-up of the 2 villain grunts.

Congratulations is not the word I would use. I'm disappointed. Leaks are always welcome. They did their job in keeping them from us, but to me that's not a good thing. -
True. Also, while the CMFs have given us some new Castle minifigures, they are few and far between. A new line of Castle could provide a lot of great minifigures.
-
Modern printing techniques for torsos, arms, and legs. Modern technology like dual molded arms and legs. Updated sets means updated minifigures, something I can't do via BrickLink. This is a facet that people tend to forget when they espouse the "build it for yourself" mentality.

Nexo Knights Theme Discontinuation Date?
x105Black replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd be interested in knowing. As of now, my opinion is hopefully sooner than later, so I'm hoping it will run for the 3 originally planned years. The reason? I want to get back to Castle themes instead, and a designer indicated that Nexo Knights has supplanted those.- 18 replies

Now that's a lot of assumption. Maybe there would have been complaints, but there are plenty of complaints about every theme, including Nexo Knights. Maybe it will be considered a Castle theme, maybe it won't. I sure hope that it isn't. If it is, it would likely be a mostly superficial comparison. Not really. These are just a couple of polls about the subject. A majority of people did vote that KK2 wasn't a Castle theme. I'd say that this poll shows that those sentiments are still true today. I'd love to see where those few votes in support of KK2 would go if it weren't included here, but even more, I'd love to see where the overwhelming majority of votes against it would go. More votes against the Skeletons, Fright Knights, or Bulls, perhaps? I don't think the topic of Nexo Knights being a Castle theme is really appropriate for this topic, personally, but I gave it more attention than it deserves. I love the fact that the Forestmen have the most overall votes in support (at this point), and that Classic Castle has the majority of votes. It would seem to me that a future Castle wave could be successful with the following: Forestmen Faction Black Falcon Faction Wolfpack Faction Classic Castle Elements Fantasy Elements Dragons And without the following: Colorful Jellybeanish Knights Skeletons Fright Knights Bull Knights Trolls I left Crusaders and Leo off of the lists because I feel the support for the former and opposition to the latter somewhat cancel each other out, seeing as they are fairly similar factions overall. Would most people here agree to the above concept?

The lava monsters are actually really cool. I wish they had some cool new knights to go with them. And sure, there may be some old Castle sets I don't have. Some are great, and I would love them, but they are expensive. Others are really nice, but out of date. There are new pieces, new techniques, and new technology that could be applied to make even better modern versions of those sets. That's what I'd love to see. Bring the old Castle up to date.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
x105Black replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That wasn't true last year with Series 13, at least in my area. I found them first at the LEGO Store on January 1st. I would expect this to be the same, but I will definitely try a few other spots where I was able to find Series 14 early. I would really like to see some more, though. While we've seen a fair bit, there's still so much left to reveal! December 1st would work for me! -
I agree. That poll may be in favor of Nexo Knights being a Castle theme, but there have been 170 votes, and only 8 separate the Yes from the No (at this point). That's only a 4.7% difference, hardly enough to be definitive. I'd say both sides of the community have spoken.

Minifig parts and accessories you don't like

I prefer the old whip with the round bit at the end to fit over a stud. Also a great vine in green. I hate the Nexo Knights armor. -
