I guess I am being daft. CMFs aren't really minifigures in exclusive sets in the same way. They are a small, inexpensive product. As for whether or not they appear in sets: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. At least 7 times, a CMF has been used in another set. The engine argument is hardly comparable. I'd also say that exclusive giveaway figures aren't in the same category, either. Although, I am rather disappointed that the OT C-3PO in the Droid Escape is not up to the standards set by the TFA C-3PO polybag, with arm and side leg printing. I'd compare this to video games. In the age of HD graphics, you aren't likely to see a game made using low-poly graphics or pixel art unless it is a direct style choice. This is because the standards have been raised, again and again, by an increase in technology and what gaming companies are capable of producing. Fans expect the newest games to have the best quality graphics, and anything less (especially if produced by a company that has shown they can create visually stunning games) is considered a step backwards, a downgrade, undesirable. I'm not portraying the ugly side, or being spoiled by anything. I'd say that LEGO is displaying the ugly side if they are indeed doing this solely to drive sales of the UCS Slave I. The reason to buy the Slave I should be the dang Slave I. In the same way that you say someone wouldn't care that much about arm printing, do you really think it will drive sales of the Slave I set that much? Of course I don't always buy the best of everything. It would be foolish to assume so. But this is a minifigure we're talking about. I can't imagine it costs LEGO that much more to produce the Boba Fett minifigure with arm printing versus without, and as such, I can't imagine a good reason not to have a figure to that quality in this set (or every set). I don't get why this would be upsetting to someone else, unless they spent the money to buy the Slave I for the minifigure and don't want their investment devalued. And honestly, that's the way investments work. People don't buy stock in the stock market without taking a risk that it will lose value, and LEGO should be no different. All I am doing is expressing my disappointment at the new product because it is poorer in quality from the previous version. I am doing this because I want to see progress for LEGO. I would like to see LEGO continue to push themselves to create consistently better products, increasing their standards. I'm not just here whining that I want something. I'm making a statement about how LEGO can improve as a company, and create more products that more people can enjoy more.

Ha! That's what we all thought it was going to be, but the reveal of Nexo Knights was something completely different. It's an interesting article, for sure. I really appreciate being able to see the development of the theme, from concept to final. Not much really changed over the process, mostly subtle differences exist, although some of those differences are important. Thanks for posting the link here!

Well to me it would seem that they are capable of arm and leg printing, as well as dual molding, so that should be the standard when appropriate for the character. When they release a nice, highly detailed minifigure, that sets a standard for that character. Anything less than that in a future set is a step backwards. Also, even CMFs have these features, and they aren't in exclusive sets. I feel that LEGO should be utilizing their technology to make the best product they can, in every set. When they don't, they are selling us, and themselves, short. LEGO's standards. They have set that standard with the UCS Slave I Boba Fett minifigure. I understand that this is not an issue for some people, and perhaps I voiced my complaint a little differently from what I had intended. But I still feel like this iteration of Boba Fett is a downgrade from what they have shown they are capable of, and in my opinion, that is a little lazy and uninspired.

It's unneccesary to do so, in my opinion. Without the arm printing, he is not up to standards. Completely soured me on the set. I wish I had gotten the part on Bricks & Pieces when it was available.

Completely lame that Boba Fett is not up to modern standards. He should have printing on his arms.

I completely agree. Height difference and clutch power are the biggest issues with the slope. Also, I like how the new piece is rounded.- 4,155 replies

I think the new dress piece looks a lot better than the slope, in general.- 4,155 replies

I agree so much. I'd love a Banana Suit Guy! -
I will be considerably more excited about this theme if they make the mushroom people in physical form and release them in a nice villain only set.

That Classic Space shield is the only one I've seen that I have interest in. Nice.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes

Of course I understand that, but there is an association that sours that combination during all other times of the year. All of this is beside the point. I personally feel that for this minifigure, there is a disconnect between the figure and the shield (in relation to color choices). -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

12 was great for providing a good number of medieval and fantasy characters, plus a nice guy in a costume. 13 was similarly good. I'm just happy because this is the first series since 13 that I'm really excited about. It's been a year since that one came out. -

Yikes, bright light orange? I'd prefer pearl greys, personally. Or even brown wood with metallic printing. I don't think orange would look that good, personally (especially of the bright light variety). Every time I see the colors together, I think of Christmas. So, to me, they only look good for about 1 week out of the year. Because of the Christmas thing, they don't really work together the rest of the time. -
I would be happy with Dimensions releases, so long as there are releases. But actual sets are an obvious preference.

If only it was a real Castle theme... I completely agree, and these look way more medieval and appealing than anything in the first wave. Also, on the sticker page there is a dark knight in black. He looks fantastic. I still think the knights in general look terrible, and the use of technology is deplorable, but the new villains shown in this artwork will definitely get me to make purchases. I really hope I don't have to wait for 2017 to get them. As much as I don't like a lot of Nexo Knights stuff (mostly because of the heroes), I really want to like it (because it's the closest thing to Castle we're getting). These new villains are definitely turning me around.

I like some minfigures with robotic metal exteriors (like Ultron) as armored knights. -

Yes, they work really well together. I also mix in some other historic figures, as well as Star Wars figures. I get tired of the typical Dwarves, Elves, Trolls, Goblins, so it's nice to have Egyptians, and aliens that I can use as random fantasy races. -
