Well that's bad news. We can probably write off the Yellow Submarine for licensing issues. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
x105Black replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Absolutely. I'd much rather see Satyr legs. It's the main thing I'm hoping to see. -
I've only heard January 1st. Everything is pointing towards that date. Where have you heard the 18th?
-
I'll discuss whatever is to be discussed in the appropriate thread. These threads aren't for fans only, they are for anyone to discuss their opinions on the relevant sets. As for NujuMetru's Dragon Lands, it's not a bad concept. But I really don't like the brick-built dragons in general and would prefer something like the dragons from Castle or Smaug. So I'm unlikely to support the initiative in general, since it's largely based on the dragon concepts.

I feel the same about this as I feel about many other concepts. If you don't want your children to play with what you perceive to be demons, then don't purchase them. There's no need to try to force your feelings on others and demand that LEGO stop selling them to everyone else.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

As do I! We need better access to the goat. -
The medieval fantasy minifigures are few and far between in those CMF series. I do appreciate that they include them at all, but they surely aren't numerous. No, I wouldn't want to give Nexo Knights to my children. I jest. I see the point, but it still seems silly.

It is, as far as Castle is concerned. That's debatable. I see it as a tank that looks like a castle.
-
That would actually be cool. It would be funny and amuse me because they are obviously lava monsters, not demons. And even if they were demons, who cares? Or why should someone caring affect anything?

That's a lot of speculation. There are a lot of City and Ninjago sets all over the shelves at the stores I frequent. I've heard from people who don't like those themes, or think there are flaws. So should I conclude that those aren't hot sellers? Either way, I think Lord of the Rings / Hobbit is a worthwhile theme to explore as there are fans out there who do actually crave more. There's a thread in this very sub-forum full of people clamoring for that very thing. But I do think it may be done since there haven't been new sets for a while and there are no new movies coming out (as far as we know). Castle should really be explored again, from the point of view of the people who love it. Find out what they love and why, and do that (instead of the opposite, which is Nexo Knights).

This is one of the best looking lists so far, mostly because of Captain EO. I can't believe I forgot about him! I doubt we'll get a lot of these, and some of them I'll admit I have no idea who they are, but it's a great list. Also, I keep forgetting Figment was a small dragon. I always like to imagine him full-sized. I'd absolutely love to see him regardless of size.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

Interesting. It originated in Fabuland as a wind gauge, but this appears to be a new color. I'm curious to know why you think that. Previous CMF Native American minifigures have been called Tribal Chief and Tribal Hunter. My instinct when I read that is the same as yours, but experience says otherwise. -
Official themes come with minifigures. Look at all of the minifigures in this theme. There are even 2 polls about which one is your favorite. A new Castle theme would come with new Castle minifigures, maybe new armor, shields, barding, and other such things. These are things that I cannot make on my own (to the quality of official LEGO products) or buy on BrickLink or eBay. It's not all about building the structures. I know I can do that, and I do.

Star Wars is more of a Science Fantasy story, with wizard knights. It actually falls in the Space Opera category, but that's being pedantic. Star Trek is more straight Science Fiction. And yes, Nexo Knights is too childish and lacking seriousness in tone. Which is funny, because they claim to be targeting older kids than they were with Castle.

I disagree, since it was a broom he was using. Also, I feel we're more likely to get normal Mickey in this series.- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

It's just an artistic rendering, so there could be differences in the physical product. Was the net a confirmed new piece? I thought it was just speculation. Same here. Just looks like it will fit that way. Also looks like holding in the hand would only happen from the top, due to that cutaway. I would expect to see it held from the side if it were held in the hand. -
I totally agree that a traditional Castle theme could coexist with Nexo Knights. I just hope that the good people at LEGO agree. As for Creator 3-in-1, that could be nice, but very basic. I'd hope for Creator Modular. I'm not a troll. I'm not desperately doing anything. I'm just voicing my opinion about this theme. There are things I like about it, and things I don't like about it. The biggest thing I don't like about it is that it exists and precludes any traditional Castle sets. The biggest thing I like about it is that it has a few useful new parts and that it is currently scheduled to be gone in 3 years. Robot unicorns would fit well in this theme. I would hope they would look better than that awful Robo-Horse. I'd like to see a dragon in this theme, except I hope it resembles Mechagodzilla. I much prefer the villains in these sets to the heroes, but I think those little lava monsters are unappealing. They are goofy and silly, and they remind me of those green ghosts from Ninjago that I don't like, or the colored ghosts in the Ghostbusters HQ set that I don't like. I can see why all of these exist, though.

You are. I disagree, and feel that the LEGO minifigure is a constant that should not be strayed from. Perhaps adding articulated short legs (and articulating the long legs with knees when used) would be better, but overall I'd say they fit well throughout the LEGO universe and are preferred to the garish minidolls.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I love the Marshmallow Man, and it's a great figure even if it's not to scale. I'll feel the same about Sulley. As for the mop head, I feel that the CMF series 14 Wacky Witch broom would be better, but a new mold with a split for the legs would be best. This is too mop-like and not broom-like enough.- 4,155 replies

I think the broom used with the Wacky Witch from CMF series 14 would work better for the Fantasia broom. But a new mold with the leg split would be best.
