  1. Down with Nexo Santa!
  2. I can't understand why someone would actively hope against having Disney princesses as minifigures.
  3. I'd prefer that, personally. I doubt it will happen, but that's my preference. At the very least, I'd like to keep them where they are and keep them from advancing into other themes. But I'd also like to see many characters that have only been done as minidolls appear as minifigures to be more compatible with other LEGO themes. But that's a topic for another discussion, and I will take my opinions there. For now, I'm just disappointed that we aren't getting Belle, Beast, Sulley, or any of the most iconic of princesses, like Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and such. They really should be made into minifigures. So, I am hoping that this list is fake. I have limited interest in the speculated list. If it is true, I hope for a much better list next time.

  5. I completely disagree. I think all of those characters need to be redone as minifigures. I vehemently disagree. We need less minidolls and more minifigures. #18 on that list conveys my emotions if this is real... Disgust. From that list, I'd be interested in Pluto, Peter Pan, Mulan, Genie, Aladdin, Stitch, Tarzan, Captain Hook, and Jafar. I'd suspect molded heads will ruin the appeal of at least half of those for me.
  6. This is a gorgeous castle gate with lots of interesting little areas to explore. I love the overall tone of the build, along with the scale. I really like the nice cave areas. Great work!
  7. That's beautiful! I love the source material, but even without it this is a fantastic build. There is a lot of attention to detail here. The people, the plants, the graveyard, it all looks wonderful. Great job!
  8. If you're wondering about the Wolfpack logo showing through the hole in the armor, it won't. The older Castle minifigures with logos on their chests have larger logos that will not align with the hole.

  11. I'll disagree. Well, no so much disagree, but state my strong preference. If they did this in a Disney Princess set, Beast and Belle would be minidolls instead of minifigures, and that would be atrocious. I'd greatly prefer to see the Beast transformation as a minifigure. I'm still convinced that the Queen's dress piece will be used in this series for Belle, and possibly other princess characters.
  12. I don't always agree with this perspective. There have been many suggestions for newer parts that are better suited for specific purposes. While I agree that there are often great, undiscovered uses for certain parts, I am perfectly fine with the creation of new parts to expand the catalog of what we already have. Hopefully these new parts will have additional, innovative uses as well.
  13. I'm much more excited about a new dress piece. Brick-built is great for structures, vehicles, landscapes, and such, but not for characters or creatures (in my opinion).

  16. I was thinking of the "Where Are My Pants?" minifigure from the LEGO Movie series who came with an extra set of pants, and picturing his head being a cross between the CMF Yeti and a Chima character (Big and covering the chest, while having a head inside). So there may be some sort of precedent, but you're probably right. They'd make more money releasing a completely separate version later. I agree, the rose would be a good accessory for Beast.
  17. I think the Elf is my favorite as well. I love all of the animal suit guys, but for much different reasons. The Elf is really a great example of what I look for in a LEGO minifigure.

  19. So if the teapot isn't used with Belle or Beast (and I hope it isn't because I don't really care for Mrs. Potts), accessories should still accompany them (if they are indeed included). Belle might come with a book, hopefully in the new style from Nexo Knights. Beast might come with an extra set of pants and human head / hair so that you can have a before / after transformation. Just some thoughts. What are yours?
  20. Absolutely, that was my first thought! That's pretty close, too. The shape over the cheeks is better, but the colors aren't as nice and wouldn't match the minifigure. Neither is a perfect replica of the character, but I'd take the new one as my preference.
  21. Agreed on both counts.
  22. To me, this jacket is much like the Blacktron and Fabuland shirts from the LEGO Movie sets: I wouldn't call one a Blacktron figure, and the other a Fabuland figure, just as I wouldn't call the guy in the Space logo jacket a Space figure. These are general civilians who happen to be wearing something that depicts the logo of another theme. With the Astronaut it's different, because he's actually wearing the logo as a designation rather than a fashion statement. To me, he is clearly employed by the exploration organization from the Space theme, not the astronaut crew from City space sets.
