  1. There's definitely a point to be made about financial success, and this movie is already extremely successful. But there may be a bit of backlash if it isn't well received by the fans after they've seen it. Moreso than the backlash against the prequels, because this will have been the second let-down. I fully expect that it will be a great movie, so it's not likely a problem, but it could be a factor in their decision. That's all I was getting at.

  3. Not only that, but they're taking a risk already with the sets they have (since everyone is only assuming the movie will be good). UCS sets are also more expensive to produce, so they may just wait until the hype is over and the reviews are in before pulling the trigger on it.
  4. Agreed! A few princesses should be likely enough. No real reason to expect any different. I wouldn't expect all of the fan favorites, but a few out of their growing stable of princesses shouldn't be an issue. Happy to hear a handful of villains and creatures are likely. I'm hoping for Maleficent as a villain, Stitch, Sulley, and of course, Beast as creatures. Although, perhaps I'm misunderstanding, and creatures are meant to represent the classic Mickey gang. Still, I'd like the ones I mentioned, and from the Mickey gang I'd take a Sorcerer's Apprentice, Steamboat Willie, or Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, however unlikely they'd be. Also, Pluto. Also, to those who think Beast and Sulley should be in bigfig form: That's still a possibility. The Incredible Hulk from Marvel has been represented multiple times as both a bigfig and a minifig, so anything's possible. I'd probably get both sizes for these Disney and Pixar characters.
  5. Also, the green unicorn shield could work for this minifigure. Or maybe one of the green ovoid shields, like the Elf's stag, Forest Maiden's tree, or the Slytherin snake shield. Still, it would be nice if he came with a more appropriate shield, so that we didn't feel that we have to change it. I personally would have preferred something more generic, preferrably in pearl dark grey.
  6. It's possible that they will, but they've put out multiple releases with the same character in the past without issue. I'm pretty sure that skirt piece will be used, though.
  7. I'm a righty, but I play hockey left-handed. I bet video games are harder to play if you're a lefty. Seems to me that left-handed controllers are hard to find.
  8. Saturnalia.
  9. Bo Peep from Toy Story would be a lot more likely with the new skirt piece from the CMF Queen.

  11. Not with minifigures... Agreed on both counts. Good point, but not even one princess? I'm surprised. Unless they do a nice set of princesses next time, like they did with the inexplicable inclusion of the full cast of Inside Out this time. I'd love to see Alice and Kida, actually, but I'm really disappointed that none of the traditional princesses are here. I don't think they'd conflict with the Disney Princesses line, since those are minidolls which are completely different, specifically created to be doll-like and appeal to little girls, and do not work well with the traditional minifigure. I hoped to see traditional minifigure designs for the princesses since there are no minifigure alternatives for those of us who are not fans of the minidolls. Maybe they will release them in future lines, but the lack of a single one here makes me feel that minifigure princesses are unlikely. Although... I hope that this is the case. Thanks for posting! I was still pretty skeptical, but figured I'd discuss the list just in case it was true. This gives me more hope to see a list that includes characters I was hoping for rather than characters I'd end up buying simply for lack of better ones.
  12. I agree, both minifigures have weak designs. They are nice for modern City or rural environments, I suppose, but the real draw for both minifigures is the animal they come packaged with.

  14. Oh please no. The biggest disappointments for me in this list are the lack of female villains and princesses, along with Beast and Sulley.
  15. As do I. Even if I am interested in some of the minifigures, I still think there were far better choices.
  16. But it was picked up for Dimensions, which means that future sets are a possibility. I wouldn't mind that. Playing the Portal areas of Dimensions actually has me interested in playing the Portal games.

  21. Personally, I'd be a huge supporter of this. I love the Legend of Zelda games (particularly A Link to the Past), and would buy many sets based in this world. It is a great series, and would translate well into LEGO. I wasn't thinking of a small set. I was thinking of a few sets. But you may be right. The market at large has probably moved on from Tolkien sets. I still think that those characters that have yet to be made would be immediately purchased by many fans of Castle and Lord of the Rings, though, and I would love to see them someday.
  22. Or just a regular classic Castle theme, medieval fantasy Europe. That would be dope.
