So I heard people want a pneumatic mod for this set I'd prefer this to the upcoming set.

I'd look for a completely manual MOD for this set. 4 knobs, 4 functions. 3 functions of the arm and 1 for the bucket.

Generic Contest Discussion

Now that the Car Transporter offer the small wheel arches in two more color, I'm so looking forward to a car contest. -
9 years of tracked loaders. 8043 B is a very nice model, and was the RC loader + RC fun tracked model before those concepts become cool. I'm well aware that 8275 is the first RC tracked model, not 8043 B, but 8043 B has higher speed, and thus more suitable for the RC fun tracked model role. I still remember how fun I found the 8043 B to be when I first built it. The new loader has a way better appearance. The old one was full of LBG and DBG, and those colors dilute the look and make the model visually messy. The new one, however, consists of solely black and yellow, which creates a stronger contrast and a clear color block. In terms of playability though, the 8043 B is way ahead.

This set is the first set since 2015 to use DBG tracks as caterpillar tracks. I thought that DBG tracks have been eliminated from Technic. (The BWE has DBG tracks too, but they are used in the conveyor. )

[REVIEW] 42094 - Tracked Loader
Ngoc Nguyen replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The claw has got to be the most senseless loader function I've ever tried. It can't hold two logs, and even when it's holding one log, it can't grab it firmly enough. The log tends to fall to the side. A nice cool looking futuristic set, but zero basic playability. I still love it for the look though. @M_longer I picked up my 42094 at a local Lego store today, and the boxes on the shelf made me realize that the 3 models in your last picture have the same box size. They were arranged next to each other in the store. -
I see - 5x11 tapered panels in red - Corvette mudguards in red and medium blue (42066 colors). It's kinda weird that a truck has car wheel arches though. - Car in 42066 medium blue. - Cant see the size of the wheels in the car transporter truck, but since the wheel arches are the smallest, I think the wheels are the same with those in Mack trucks. - The truck and trailer are very long but very empty because there is only one car to fill. The top story seems to be able to carry 4 cars, while the lower one 3 cars. I'm so waiting for 2020 lineup to include more cars this size. - Spider crane arm seems to have 3x11 shell 10 holes panels in yellow, which only appear so far in 42009

I so want to save money and buy this thing, but at the same time I dont wanna be part of the group that, to TLG, are going to throw money at fancy sets no matter how expensive they are, because that would only drive TLG to drive the prices of future sets higher

Just tell her you choose to abstain from daily coffee (or whatever that costs the amount of 42100's MSRP/365) for a year

Why the laugh though? M motors are not strong enough, and XL motors are too big. Besides, to utilize the economy of scale, limiting to 1 type of motor makes sense. In 2007, only M and XL motors were introduced in the Bulldozer. From 2008 to 2011, only those two are used. It was not until 2012 that the remaning two (L and Servo) were introduced.
