  1. I think the last function is cab rotation because of the side mirrors in the rear. You wouldn't really use them or be able to use them unless the cabin turns around.
  2. I imagine the Land Rover to be a licensed 42069.
  3. Remember the time when 2500+ part count is 2H flagship size and not 1H medium flagship size? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
  4. In the base it looks like some red things are meshing with a tan 20z gear. If they are regular red 16z clutch gear, then I don't understand why they are there though. They don't seem to mesh with any other gears.
  5. According to Timoonn's picture, 400-500 pieces are going into some sort of cave sides and rocks. The whole main machine just doesn't look big or dense enough to reach 4000 pieces.
  6. This thing looks really fun. I think the LUGs offline meetings can host this. In case you can't view it, it's about people playing soccer with actual cars as players and CAT excavators as goalkeepers. They use a gigantic soccer ball. I think Lego fans can do it with their RC models.
  7. It makes a nice sporty, coolish white-black-red eye candy display piece with a face constantly looking up at me in a perpetual expression of intrigue and curiosity.
  8. The color palette of this set is actually a reference to the CMYK color mode and serves as a reminder that if you design something that will be produced in physical forms later you should convert your color mode to CMYK right from the beginning
  9. So that I can put Dark Azure on 42039 myself without waiting for you
  10. My Technic car collections now include 42000, 42077, and 42096. There's a shop near my house that sells a new 42039. I'm feeling ambivalent about getting it.
  11. This thing is a real eye candy. I really love the popping eyeballs haha.
  12. My copy arrived this morning. I proceeded right to the build. And the build feels like, the first 1/5th is for the actual function. The remaining 4/5th are for the decorations. I feel so impatient. my interest suffers from big decadance. But I still like this set. I'm a big sucker for appealing aesthetics.
  13. According to the part list, the white ball inside the ball joint frame is a separate part, which means the ball joint frame can be coupled with the old inner ball joint.
  14. The 7x11 frame in white is right behind the stairs. You can see it on the other side as well.
  15. The new ball joint doesnt look like it allows an axle to go through though.
  16. I mean like, the way I imagine hydraulics is that oil is pumped into a cylinder and presses the cylinder to expand or retract. I still can't imagine how that transfers into circular motion to drive locomotion.
  17. How does hydraulic drive the tracks though?
  18. Does anyone know why the front sprockets are covered but the rear sprockets have some kinda discs attached to it?
  19. I think Liebherr Mine Dump Truck will appear in the near future to be a complementary set with the excavator.
  20. If the next supercar is the McLaren Senna, that would explain the surge in DBG and orange panels.
  21. I read somewhere in this thread or maybe in the Technic forum something along the line of we need a bucket but instead get a shovel. What's the difference between a bucket and a shovel for excavators? And for this model can't we just flip the shovel to the inside to turn the arm into the conventional backhoe configuration?
