And I think the curved 13 panel is worth a mention too. This is the second set after the 42056 to include that piece. Maybe 5x11 panels in orange as well.

[REVIEW] 42094 - Tracked Loader
Ngoc Nguyen replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The first image cracked me up HAHAHAHA. Wacky model with seat facing the rear and weird claw pose. Is it trying to be a Claas Xerion or sth haha -
Lemme play with some typography and optical illusion to illustrate this set. I learn this trick from the design of a T-shirt in my high school festival. Please pardon the cap and size, as this trick needs the letters to be that way to work. THIS SET IS NOT VERY GOOD LOOKING UPCLOSE.

Uwe's creations through the year: 2011: Super car 2012: Logging truck 2013: Race car 2014: Volvo Loader 2015: Race car 2016: Super car 2017: Tow truck 2018: Race car 2019: Super car It makes me wonder why Uwe designs that many cars. Like, does no one else in the Technic designer team wants to design a car. Or maybe Uwe is just too good at designing cars that whenever there is a car in the product lineup the job automatically goes to him. The only exception is the Bugatti, which goes to Aurelien, which kinda makes sense because the brand is French and Aurelien is French. Other than that, it feels like a common occurence in workplace: when you're just so good at doing sth that you're stuck doing it for a long time. Or maybe there are some people that are interested in designing cars, but they don't dare to snatch it from Uwe. Kinda like why Milan said he would never take up a motorbike set, because some other guys would kill him. Or maybe all of the above. -

Oh wow there really is a gap. At first I thought there was black panels there. Thanks for the enlightenment. But still, the real car hides the gap really well. The Lego version doesnt -

I don't get what you mean. Did you mean "the gap behind the front wheel is a part of the original car design" or "the continuity behind the front wheel is a part of the original car design"? -

My main gripe with the aesthetic is the big gap behind the front wheel, under the front wheel arch. It breaks the continuity of the flow. Compare with the real thing. Oh and I found the blueprint. -

It's probably designed by Uwe. -

Am I the only one who isn't really fond of building supercar's bodywork in general? I'm 3/4 way through my Bugatti Chiron, and the parts I enjoyed most were gearbox and all the transmissions. The bodywork feels boring. Since 42096 is like 90% bodywork and aesthetic I think it's not gonna be a really fun build to me. Still plan to get it though. -

My Bugatti's arriving tomorrow. Managed to snatch it when its price was probably lowest on amazon.de (269.99). The shipping cost makes the total cost nearly equal the MSRP, but at least I didn't have to buy the set at full MSRP + shipping cost. -

The ball pieces serve as head rests and probably double as roof reinforcers. I'm not sure that they touch the black curved panels though. You can see the balls in the side view or the back view of the A model in page 3.
