Jangbricks has posted his review of the Killer Croc set, and man, those vehicles are even weaker than I thought... What a bummer. The minifigures are decent, so the only way I'll buy the set is if bricklinking the figures is close to as expensive as buying the set.

You noticed that? That's been a long established pattern... -
That all looks amazing, the buildings and the vehicles. Lots of plates...

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlockLogo replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you. -
GBHQ would be a better reference because of the licensed IP, but that one was still great value at $350 for 4600 pieces. I hope it will be more like that than like some of the other recent D2C sets.

LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I am super hyped for the Lego Batman movie sets and CMF. I've been buying less and less sets and more bricklinking for parts for mocs, but I think my son and I might go full hype for this and collect the whole theme. -
Looks very nice. Was this inspired by an existing building? One critique I would offer is that the front windows and doors look a little over designed by the many different styles and colors of arches and curves.

LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why?? Ninjago is super popular, batman as well, and they wanna throw in a regular minifig series or two in the line up as well, I'm sure. -
This very thread was started almost exactly 1 year ago, so it's not unlikely that we'll have some rumors soon. But the summer wave hasn't been out more than a couple of weeks, and not at all in North America. Plenty more to discuss in this thread, I'd say...

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

Just saw the picture that's floating around of the Dr Strange set. Three tan walls, kinda like Big Bang Theory, with some bookshelves and two portal things, one of which has tentacles coming through. How much is this set supposed to be? I'm sure it wouldn't be ok to post here, but it's out there if you look for it. -
I just finished building my brick linked modified market street. I just did the house, not the market part, added a floor, and substituted the grille bricks for masonry bricks, the 5 high doors for 6 high door frames, and the hoses with fence pieces. The latter is very fragile but I really like the way it turned out, especially the extra floor. Now I wanna add floors to the green grocer, pet shop, and townhouse. I also built on 2 regular 16x16 plates rather than a 16x32 baseplate in order to start brick building streets in dark grey. If I like the way that turns out I will start the long process of swapping out the baseplates of the rest of my modulars...

I got a large cup full of the 1x4 SNOT bricks, with some 1x1 gap fillers. There was some good stuff in the minifigure section too. The CMF waiter's printed bottle, the butcher's t-bone, graduate's cap, some other good hat and hair pieces...

That's a good point about the arches, and it pretty much negates what I said...

I'm bricklinking the house of Market Street at the moment, with an extra floor and some other modifications and substitutions. I was able to get everything with 5 orders (if all goes well and none of the sellers has any inventory mistakes) except the droid arms and hoses to make the balcony, as the latter are stupid expensive. Has anyone bricklinked the Market Street and found a passable solution or substitution for this? I'm leaning towards using this piece in white

I'm pretty sure you'll get more useful feedback if you post the actual set names instead of just the set numbers.

This is such an amazing model... I usually don't care too much for interior, but this one impressed the hell out of me. And I will definitely borrow some stuff from the builds of the exterior.

If you're gonna use the masonry bricks, it would look better if you set the windows back half a stud with jumpers, like in the more recent modulars. It will create a little more movement and depth and make the facade less flat. You'd basically achieve the same effect as with the bullion tiles but with less pieces. I really don't like the idea of covering a whole building's facade with a bunch of tiles or other pieces. It can look really great, but it's not very economical...
