Thanks. That show is way too recent for me to have even heard of it. -

Can anyone tell me what the batmobile in the riddler chase set from 2015 is based on? -
LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm very surprised that there apparently will be a CMF series for this... -
I don't have the mixer but I have the Ferris Wheel. There may be some mass assembly and monotony, but I thought it was pretty amazing to see how everything came together during the build.

It looks really nice. I do think it's too close to the official build for it to be considered an original creation.

Sacre merde... That's enormous...

I'm prolly wrong, and I'm no expert on the subject, but it looks like a bootleg to me. Something about the hips and the hands looks off. The wrists look too square. Might be the lighting though.

Such a tough crowd here... And no one has even mentioned his lack of leg printing yet.

Getting far off topic, but what about Carrie Kelley? Or is The Dark Knight Returns considered too non-canonical for that to even be considered?

Great MOD! I'd suggest changing the upper case "E" in the sign to a lower case "e" so it would match the rest of the lower case letters.

Got the Milano Spaceship Rescue at 50% off from the B&N clearance. I'm not too interested in it, so I'll probably end up selling it. They did have 4 or 5 The Mine sets from Minecraft at 50% off too, and when I checked BL when I got home, that turned out a far better investment. I'll probably have to wait till the sequel comes out to get a good return on the Milano, but it looks like a fun build so I don't know if I'll be able to save it...

It's desert batman. It'll come with the desert batbuggy. Or the dune batquadbike.

Target seems to get DC exclusives pretty often, with Braniac and both of the minifigure cubes recently. Though TRU gets most of the minibuilds and polybags. And all these wishes for a Lazarus Pit... I think people would do well to curb their expectations. Even if it is a Lazarus Pit rather than a vehicle set, the difference between what an AFOL would expect and imagine it would look like versus what a $30 set - one with already at least 3, and maybe 4 exclusive figs - would deliver could be pretty enormous. Like the volcano in the coming city sets.

My son got Jokerland from his grandparents for his birthday. We built it together today and it's really one of those sets that seems pretty good on pictures and videos but is so much greater when you're building it and playing with it.

Those movies start out at like $15 for the DVD and $20 for the BR, but they usually go on sale from the release date. I bought the last one at target when it came out for $13 (bluray). And I got some of the previous ones on Black Friday for $4 a piece (DVD). Or it might have been $6. But dirt cheap anyways.

Last year Jokerland was available in May/June in Europe and in August in the US.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That doesn't seem likely. It worked with the pet shop but wouldn't have with the detective's office or bank. -
Dual molded legs are still rare in CMFs. Even in superhero sets they pretty much only appear in $50+ sets.

The Brick Bank used the Nexo shields and the scroll bricks in pretty nice ways. Were there any of the new 1x1 pyramid pieces in there? -
This is getting off topic but Brent Waller, I think the guy who submitted the ecto1 to ideas, has some amazing customs of the x-files. Some of them are sold out though. http://www.wallercustoms.com

DC Super Heroes (& LEGO Batman Movie) General Discussion
BlockLogo replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I know these events like New 52 are used to re-boot the universe and attract new readers who wouldn't want to familiarize themselves with the whole canon in order to follow the continuity, but man, it doesn't really simplify things, at least not for a casual fan like me. I started reading the comics a little after enjoying the Burton films when they came out and the TAS in the 90s, and the Dark Knight trilogy and the Lego got me out of my DC dark ages, but I'm just revisiting the old Loeb and Miller and Moore stuff, so mostly Batman, rather than the new stuff published in the last couple of decades. Way too much material to get into, and I don't really need another collecting-geared hobby that drains my time and money... -
It would make a good play feature/storyline for the next modular.
