We know that 10251 is the Brick Bank, and that 10253 is the Big Ben. 10254 is probably the next winter village entry. That leaves 10252. Last year we had 4 Creator Expert sets, Detective's Office, Ferris Wheel, Ferrari, and Toy Shop. No landmark set. I'm hoping 10252 is a new fairground set.

I think both were designed by Creator Expert design lead Jamie Berard, same designer for most of the modulars (not the Palace Cinema) and the Creator landmarks (Tower Bridge, Opera House). He designed a bunch of fairground MOCs as an AFOL before getting a job as a Lego designer. Probably because it's such a unique, collectible, big set that had a limited production run and uses a bunch of elements that are rare or exclusive.

sorry for the confusion. I saw a shot of an April UK store calendar and it said with DC purchases. Might have been changed, or might have been a mistake.

In the US it's anything $75 and up, in the UK it's £50 on DC, I think. Not sure about the amount, but defintely only DC purchases qualify. So it varies by country.

Yeah, it makes collecting a little easier. I focus on the comic/animated movies inspired figures. The classic 1966 figures, dark knight trilogy and MoS/BvS cinematic universe (and Arrow/the Flash tv series, if there are any of those?) figures don't mix all that well with those so they're easily skipped if I don't like them/can't afford them all. I do like the SS inspired ones, so will try to get as many as possible of those.

I have no real interest in the mixer but might be tempted to buy one for completionist sake. I love the Ferris wheel. I'd probably love a carousel designed by JB.

IIRC it was Ghostmind on NeoGaf who simply stated something about the Mixer going OOP and being replaced by a new Carousel, and either the Opera House or Tower Bridge going OOP to be replaced by Big Ben. That was all that was said, but it was said as if it were news, not a rumor.

True, but why bump a more than 3 years old thread??

Like I said, I read a rumor that the new set will be a new carousel.

BvS wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it should have been AWESOME with a premise like that, and as such, it was a huge disappointment. I do appreciate the BvS Lego after seeing the movie. All pretty true to the source material. I do worry about the rest of the DC cinematic universe movies coming in the next couple of years with that awful Snyder dude in charge. Except for Suicide Squad. Suicide Squad will be great, I think. Not Deadpool-level success, but still great, and I hope more of the minifigures seep into DC Superheroes sets.

Not that I care either way, but I'm having a hard time believing this too. A close up picture of the Lego marking on the red blaster gun would go a long way.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BlockLogo replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
For the Lego Movie, we got 13 sets in the first wave, one D2C (Seacow), 3 big sets in the summer wave (Emmet's mech, spaceship, dropship), and then 3 more small sets in the following winter wave, plus several polybags (4 or 5) and a CMF series. I think at least a dozen sets, a big D2C, and a couple of polybags for this movie. I'm really not holding my breath for a minifigures series, but it would be very welcome. -
I'll have to take a closer look at the footage and stills, then. I don't care to make it 100% accurate to the movie or other sources, I just want it to look right, with the right color scheme at least.

Oh, ok, so both tan and medium dark flesh. I guess I'm just too colorblind to see the difference on a screen. This helps, thanks!

All right, my Green Grocer is done. Pretty happy with it overall, and with the substitutions I made, like masonry instead of grooved bricks, and 1x4 and 1x2 sand green bricks instead of 1x8s, to name a few. I'd like to flesh out the interior a little, maybe move TBBT in there, or expand one of the seasonal vignettes to go inside, and maybe update the store part with printed milk and OJ pieces and such, and adding some more little builds inspired by the Quick E Mart set, but those will be tiny side projects. Not sure what to do next, but it needs to be a smaller/cheaper project than the Green Grocer. I'll wait on the Cafe Corner, but might start getting a few lots of essential parts along with orders for my next project. I'm thinking Market Street, but just the one half with the actual residence, maybe with an extra floor. I really like the look of the building and it might be a good blueprint for more residential buildings in the same style but different colors. I'm also considering Emmet's apartment from the Assembling Bricksburg thread, since it's larger than the Town Hall but might come out cheaper for me, or just extra floors for the Green Grocer and for the townhouses from the Pet Shop set, or a different color townhouse. I feel like MOC-ing something but have a lot to learn still, so I'm trying to modify some stuff I already have. Thoughts?

They're the same. Nougat is the official name, Flesh is the bricklink name. Peeron has a good color guide with corresponding color names across resources. And wait, so what are the three main colors in the facade, other than the whites and grays? I was pretty sure it was Dark Orange, Dark Red or Reddish Brown, and Tan? Because the 1x4 curved pieces ysed for windowsills are not available in nougat/flesh.

I'm having trouble deciding on colors for the facade too, especially since I'm pretty color blind. Dark orange should be the base color, as it's based off the Town Hall, but I'm not sure about the other 2 colors. Dark Red or Reddish Brown? The masonry profile bricks are available in dark red but not reddish brown, so prolly the former. And then Tan or Medium Dark Flesh? Probably tan as some of the arches, curves and slopes are not available in Medium Dark Flesh... Won't know if it looks right till it's tried, I guess...

Batman was in 2 Lego Movie sets, Dropship and Super Angry Kitty attack. The Dropship Batman is the same as the one in the Man-Bat and Steam Roller sets from the DC Superheroes line, the Super Angry Kitty Batman is the same as well except for the exclusive double face print. (And none of those are 2016 sets.)

I'm watching BvS tomorrow, but my expectations are very low. Much more looking forward to SS, and I'd like a Leto Joker. I have a feeling he might be an exclusive at a certain event in San Diego.
