$270?? That's... a lot, maybe more than it's worth in my opinion. It doesn't look like it has 2500+ pieces to me. I'll have to decide what to spend my saved up VIP points on, this or the GBHQ. Would that make it the most expensive Superheroes set after the Helicarrier?

Not enforce. Request. Brickset took the images down at LEGO's request. EB usually complies with those requests as well, as far as I know. The pictures could have been taken at a toy fair where photography was not allowed.

Does anyone know who designed this set? Images will be removed soon at LEGO's request, it seems.

Mixed feelings. It looks like a fun playset, but not very displayable as is. I'm ok with the minifigures, but it shouldn't be more than $160 or $180 I think. I'm probably getting it during the early release and will hafta mod the hell out of it.

Yularen was a may 4th giveaway with any SW purchase last year, if I remember correctly. Minor character in episode IV and recurring character in the Clone Wars. Looks like they had some excess inventory if they're randomly including it in orders.
-
Thanks boss. That does look like a polybag, but a great one with so many great parts, like the bike and 6 stemmed flower piece. It's weird that it wasn't a giveaway with the Brick Bank release because the minifig's face ties it to the modulars.
-
Does anyone remember if that leaked statue polybag was ever confirmed as an actual polybag? If I remember correctly I thought it was a little too much for a polybag. I can't find the image anymore though.

Updated mine in the first post with summer releases. I'm really going to have to be selective because SO MUCH sounds and looks great this year. Gotta stay away from Nexo Knights even though the bad guys look so awesome! Gotta resist the temptation to get those Friends sets for the great parts! Gotta stay away from Marvel and Star Wars and Volcano Research and Ninjago because if I get one or two, I'll wanna collect all of them! 2016 resolution: Limit myself to the DC and smaller licensed themes for the minifigs to give in to my inner collector just a little bit, and get the advanced models, Speed Champions, Creator, and some CITY sets for builds and parts.

The batwing set at Target for $49.99. I was gonna wait to get it till it inevitable goes on clearance but $10 off from day 1 was too good to pass up on.
-
Target finally had all three new DC sets in, so I got the little one and the batwing, because it was still listed for $49.99...

Buying licensed minifigs through bricklink
BlockLogo replied to Mercury's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Do BL sellers usually send figs full assembled when they're listed as new? I've only bough a dozen or so CMFs from BL and they always came as loose parts in the original blind bag. -
My son doesn't play with his Doc Oc Heist truck anymore, so I (poorly and quickly) modded it with a black roof and got rid of the exploding play feature and added a door on the back.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I don't think they would ignore that. I would think that Lego as a company is very aware of the collectability of its products, and even caters to that in some ways with exclusives and such. -
Don't forget that sales tax needs to be added to US prices. They vary by state and are anywhere from 5% to 10% upwards. Value added taxes are usually included in euro prices, around 20% for toys.

No warning really other than an occasional "retiring soon" tag on s@h, but modulars don't really get even that warning most of the time in my limited experience. We've been speculating on the pet shop getting retired for a year or so. It hasn't. But will, and probably soon, and I could see prices skyrocketing quickly once that happens.

Thanks, peedeejay, that's exactly what and more than I was looking for. And I understand enough German to get the main point. Has anyone here tried anything similar to this?
-
The image was leaked over the summer and it was listed as a seasonal polybag. That's it. No info on it being a retail or promo thing or release date.

I tried searching for a topic on this and couldn't find one. My modular street is filling up, and will be even more so next year with the addition of the GBHQ and Brick Bank (and hopefully some lagging MOC, mod, and bricklink projects), and I should be getting some streets to lay them out on, and give all the vehicles a proper surface. I don't like the look of the road base plates, so I'm either going to be tiling over plates or regular base plates, or SNOT building streets with bricks. I don't really know how or where to start though. Would anyone here who has done this be able to share tips and/or pictures? When brick building streets, is there a good way to integrate the modulars on their base plates with that? This pic from a fellow eurobricks user is a good example of what I'll be trying to accomplish (I saved the pic without a source and the name of the user escapes me, but I'll give credit if I remember or if someone lets me know whose layout this is).

I wouldn't call that awful. More like average. Licensed set with 5 figs and 500+ pieces for 2 aircraft builds was likely to be $60. 70 in Europe though... Damn. This set will very likely be available on clearance a year from now, so I guess I will wait it out.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
BlockLogo replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, there's been plenty of molded heads in previous cmf series. Aliens, werewolves, yeti, gingerbread man... It's fine if the humans/humanoids have regular minifig heads and the animals/monsters/aliens have specialized molds. Like in Star Wars.- 4,155 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Agreed. The Green Grocer and Corner Cafe are beautiful looking buildings but the modulars have come a long way since then with upgraded building techniques with new parts available and interior details, so I don't really know what that would mean for a re-release. Upgrade some parts and parts usage here and there, and/or add an interior, which would surely mean a good price increase...
