I'm not really planning on selling mine, so I do hope for everyone who still wants one that I'm wrong and they do still show up in stores. But to me, it does look the inventory was mishandled in some way.

I'm pretty sure those cubes will not be available from Target anymore, online or in stores. They were available for sale as well as a freebie with a $50 purchase, and you could buy multiples of them. And at the same time there was a coupon code for 20% off toys that was supposed to exclude LEGO, but for a while people successfully used the coupon with the minifig cube. I saw some people who bought several of them for $8, which is ridiculously cheap - $2 a piece for exclusive minifigs - considering Lightning Lad alone will probably go for more than $20 on the secondary market soon.

As the year is winding down and we're already looking forward to the 2016 releases, I wanted to look back on 2015 and hear about what everyone enjoyed out of all this year's LEGO releases. What did you think was the best set, the best theme, the best minifig, the best new part, etc? What was the biggest disappointment of the year? Best Theme: Creator, Speed Champions, Scooby Doo Set: Detective's Office, Mystery Machine Minifig: Invizable, Cyborg Worst: Theme: Pirates wave was pretty lackluster, and I wish there would have been some more The Lego Movie sets than the 3 small ones we got. Set: ? Minifig:? Many 2015 sets are still pretty high on my wish list: Milano, Ferris Wheel, City Square, Airjitzu Temple, and some DC sets for minifigs like Deathstroke and Aquaman. Also only got one Ultra Agents set and liked it a lot, but you gotta have limits.

That is like saying global warming isn't real because it's cold right now where I am. An objective look at objective data would strongly suggest otherwise.

Maybe for 2017 again. Maybe they woulda become too repetitive two years in a row...

It looks like we're not getting more seasonal 8x8 vignettes in 2016. Animal themed ones instead, and I guess this would be the Valentine's Day one.

Yeah, it seems to be gone. I got mine through ordering a $50 plus set, and it was autamitically added to my cart for free, but when I try now that doesn't happen anymore either. Glad I got it. I suppose I'll try to not open it for a while and see where the secondary market prices settle.

So Many Lego 'Themes' - Where is TLG headed?
BlockLogo replied to DrJB's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would guess complete world domination. Seriously though, it's probably smart. LEGO only makes one kind of toys, i.e. construction toys, unlike their biggest competitors like Hasbro and Mattel, so it's a good move to try and attract as many customer bases as possible with new(-ish) lines like Friends (to compete with classic dollhouse style toys), Star Wars (becasue SW merch sells like crazy no matter what), Superheroes and other licenses (comic book fans and collectors), Architecture and Creator (AFOLs), constraction (to compete with classic or transformer-like action figures), etc. I'm just speculating, as I don't know if that is their inentional strategy, but it makes sense to me. -
Holy $&!#... 58000 pieces?? EDIT: Just checked the gallery, and the interior is incredible... All those lights, all those seats...

Very nice. And you could use the movie poster stickered panels from Palace Cinema as advertisements to liven it up a little, if you have them.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
BlockLogo replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
^ Concierge in French has more the meaning of a building superintendent or custodian than a receptionist. -
Do new bricks ever get introduced in a modular set? I don't think so but could be wrong.
-
Oh man. Really sorry my dumb joke failed. To be clear, I have been a big admirer of your builds ever since I saw your Avenue Saint Jacques on the brothers brick.
-
It was a poor attempt at humor. Apologies to snaillad if it wasn't clear I was joking. It's pretty obvious that he is an extremely gifted builder.

Where is this picture from? It has a pretty dumb typo with "a patir."- 4,155 replies

Has anyone taken advantage of the free copy of Enter The Serpent with a purchase of the Temple of Airjitzu?

There's only three lockers in the movie, apparently. -

Again indeed. This is the at least the third time you express reservations about this set. And yes, the modulars are fantastic, but they do not have fully tiled floors either (only the ground floor of some of them is tiled), and with the way they open it is very hard to get your hands inside to rearrange anything, which was fine for the earlier ones with minimal interiors, up to the Pet Shop, but kind of a pain with highly detailed and cramped interiors of the Parisian Restaurant, Detective's Office, and I assume the Brick Bank. -
So the ultimate sets are basically one fig with a 'roided out brick-built weapon/armor and a little terrain build?
-
It's a landmark set like the Tower Bridge, Taj Mahal, etc. So not minifig scale and probably does not belong in the city forum.
-
The figs look awesome as far as I can tell but I'm not sure about those airships...

What was your first lego set?
BlockLogo replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This one started it for me. No idea what happened to it, wish I still had it. -
That would make those sets way too huge and expensive. I guess it would be cool to see though.
