  1. Adding that (along with Pokemon and One Piece) to the list of things I won't be getting. I never was into anime stuff beyond (classic!) Speed Racer, and collecting trading card games was never my shtick. Heck, I was right in the target demographic for all three of these shows when they were relatively new, and I found them totally odd. But don't listen to me: I was one of the like three kids on Earth who liked the Galidor TV show! (Hey LEGO, when we getting a revival of that theme? )
  2. Thank you for the correction @Toastie, I knew it was really bad for you but not that bad!
  3. EB isn't meant to host photos. You have to upload them elsewhere (like Flickr, for example )and link them into your post @sixf00t4. Also, @clicky, the chemical MEK is extremely hazardous and cancer causing when curing. LEGO uses it for LEGOLAND, but they have directable vents they keep close to the build to keep it away from the workers. Just letting you know!
  4. There's a Brickset article about the TMNT Brickheadz being revealed! (I wasn't sure where to post this, sorry if in wrong place...)
  5. I'm huffing so much hopium that it's Doctor Who!
  6. Speaking of the BvSmobile, Brickset posted a review of it today, in case @Mandalorianknight or anyone else was wanting to see it in depth. Personally, I wish it was more black and used the two old canopies instead.. but I understand the molds are long gone by now for that.
  7. *sigh* And here we go again.... I'm not gonna waste my breath arguing with you @danth about this issue, as it's as pointless as screaming into the wind. Mark Stafford is (was?) a user here on EB. Why don't you direct you questions towards Nabii if you don't believe me and see if he responds? He worked on Alien Conquest and SPIII and still works there (unlike Faber AFAIK), so he could most likely comment on Galaxy Squad. You could also search for the old threads and do research yourself on the matter instead having me prove you wrong, as you are the one taking issues with what anybody says that contradicts you and your beliefs.
  8. If I remember correctly, 2013's Galaxy Squad was a flop at the time or at very least didn't meet expectations, and the same goes for Alien Conquest from 2011, which had a whole wave canceled according to Mark Stafford in an interview with Brick Journal over a decade ago. Space themes haven't seem to have sold well since SPIII or even before, with the (arguably fantastic and gone to soon) Blacktron Renegade being the latest example of that as it went End Of Line in under a year. Of the five classic themes from the start of minifigures, only Town / City thrives today. Trains is a once-in-a-blue-moon thing or rolled into City (depending on the set), while Pirates, Castle, and Space are sadly reduced to occasional throwback items or BDP exclusives, although space has been seen in City too in recent years. These last four themes just don't test as well with kids on thier own, and thus they don't make them. Also, they the retro adult sets are spread out in a drip-feed fashion as to not over-saturate the market. Hope this answers your questions @zeeverse.
  9. I tried pricing out a large Blacktron modular building with over 1000 parts (that's minus the 700 parts for interior details). It cost over $220 according to PAB standard, and still needed $60 of older parts from Bricklink. Then I tried a Bricklink for almost everything but the window panes, as nobody had that many. In all, it was much cheaper to do the latter method - it wasn't even 200 for the whole thing, maybe 180 before shipping and taxes. For some things, Bricklink loses out on (rare parts in large quantities) but in most cases Bricklink is cheaper than LEGO.
  10. I tried putting the site in my address bar and got a error message that the site didn't exist, so I'm not holding out much hope.
  11. Finally finished after a month of Bricklink heck*, this ships are Blacktron 1 versions of a classic Star Wars speeder design is mostly taken from set 75204 - Sandspeeder, with portions taken from other snow-based versions of the type as well. All this is wrapped up in a new black and yellow paint job with a trans-yellow windscreen from 75414 - The Force Burner Snowspeeder. I call this ship type the Avalanche class snub fighter, and they will be going with my heavily modified Renegade set and the rest of my Blacktron 1 MOD's. *I would have had this done two weeks ago, but one of the orders reeked of smoke in a really major way, so I had to reorder the parts from two other stores. Rear view of the two ships. This type of short-range fighter is usually assigned in massive quantities to defend critical planets with Blacktron bases on them, whereas the much more capable and deadly Buzzard type is usually for capitol ship escort duty, and can take on much bigger vessels with only a dozen or so fighters. The inside seats two figures. Thoughts on this newest addition to my fleet?
  12. "...I knew I should have gotten the Turbo." - Thanos (probably)
  13. unnamed 1800s prologue kid 1, unnamed 1800s prologue kid 2, Peter Parrish, Sarah, unnamed gun / ammo store employee, dangerous purple plants, VERY dangerous yellow plant, Zebra, Elephant, asthmatic rhino, Lion, Jumanji! There, how'd I do?
  14. It appears to be a spam bot.
  15. It's more like a floating lunatic asylum, to be honest. Glad you got the references @icm! Thanks @CaptainMoore I don't know about any real ships with white hulls (I'm way out of my depth here - I'm a train builder usually!) but as I already have those parts, it seemed like the cheapest option!
  16. I was bored today, so I recolored and remade the pirate ship from set 21322 - Pirates of Barracuda Bay - into a Bluecoat ship with brick-built sails which I then named the Hawkeye. The Hawkeye is commanded by Captain Ben Pierce, a man who has come to despise war despite being master of a warship. His crew is comprised of First Officer Johnathan McIntyre, an ex-mountain man / trapper from North America who just wandered onto the ship in a drunken stupor one day but has natural leadership skills, elderly quartermaster Sherm Potter, grouchy ships' surgeon Emerson Winchester, helmsmen O'Reilly (who has a keen, almost supernatural sense of danger and when things aren't right), along with quite a few other oddballs. NOTE: If you are a fan of old TV shows from the 1970s / '80s, you might be able to spot the one where I got all these names from! (some names are slightly obfuscated, though) If built in real life, I would need to take parts from my green pirate ship, which wouldn't be that difficult as it was dropped last May when I moved. Time will tell if this will ever be built, though.
  17. Shipping from South Korea to Virginia would be HIGHLY expensive.... and you might not even get it intact or even ever, due to customs. Poland to the midwestern USA was over 15 bucks before the tariffs existed and took almost a month to get to me, and SK is much further away than Poland, so I'd say double those numbers at least. My advice is to order from LEGO, @Virginia_Bricks.
  18. I doubt the original poster will see your post, @ODST-Kelly. He hasn't been on since 2023.
  19. 0/10. Your NinJay display is missing future Jay from that one Target cube! (kidding, off course!)
  20. a tram AND a steam train in CITY? I've got to pinch myself, I must be dreaming. ....OUCH... Ok, I'm not dreaming! Here's hoping for new train parts!
  21. @danth Audiobooks, The Cursed Child play / book, the upcoming TV show, Fantastic Beasts prequel films prove otherwise. The Wizarding World is still relevant, for better or worse. The MULTIPLE theme parks and studio tours across the globe prove this.... heck, Warner Bros. actually shipped a steam loco of the same class as Olton Hall 5972 to JAPAN to masquerade as Hogwarts Express for the studio tour there on long term loan (4920 Dumbleton Hall, to be exact!) I think the franchise is doing just fine among kids while being "old". Back to topic, here's my unpopular opinion: I'm sick of people dismissing others for no reason beyond their own personal bias or experiences, despite evidence said dismissive people are wrong. This goes beyond being just a LEGO fandom issue and goes into every facet of modern life.
  22. Both Chima & Ninjago take place in the same world now, so kinda yes, even though it says Ninjago on the box @Dolor.
  23. There's an interesting extremely deep-dive article on Brickset today about all the SW advent calendars, just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. It's a bit long, but well worth a read.
