- More fire and police sets! Our towns are always under siege and constantly burning down... - We need all the hues of yellow in our bricks, as I hate uniformity... - 41999 is a terrible, ugly, functionless, set and a poor investment... - I wish all my bricks would crack or split under normal use... - I love folding random creases in my instructions and sticker sheets... - 9V/PF are horrible systems for trains... RC all the way! Anyone have a rabbits foot I can rub, worried that this may happen now

A couple Brick Link orders for parts to convert the 7734 Cargo Plane to jet
-
I placed one order for 41999 & BBTF at most 20+- mins after it went live (EST-US) and another, same order, around noon 8/1 (knowing it had already gone on backorder). I have received two (now 3 as of a few minutes ago) confirmation emails for both orders, but only the second was followed by a(2) emails saying, "we're sorry, but the item(s) you've selected are on backorder and shipping will be delayed". The first is still "in process" with no "backorder" on it's status... I'm now a bit worried about the first order since I've received two emails saying the second is on backorder. On the same hand, shipping confirmation always seems to be a few days delayed when I place an order... I received this on my second order, after ordering this when it's status had moved to "backorder". I can't say for sure what it means, as I don't know of 41999's availability as of now or future, but I think it's their way of saying, "we know what set you want, but this is the best way of informing you we are doing what we can to get one to you", without saying sorry, all gone

It was stated earlier there is a limit of 2 per house hold, but I'm sure friends have been contacted

Yeah, everything pertaining to bonus gifts, free shipping, VIP points, order histories, and probably more things are messed up right now. "Technical difficulties" probably just mean large influx in order processing and website traffic, affecting their servers

Excellent job MOCing this inquisitor88! This is quite a strange looking loco, compared to the look of GP's and the like. You did very well building this

Fantastic MOC! A nice spin on the Fire line; really unique to see built. Great job Hoexbroe

"You are buying LEGO..!" in the same way as someone saying "you are spreading [disease]...", with a real negative connotation

Missing/damaged parts or minifigures in new sets

Last resort, if all else fails, there's always Brick Link -
Nice add on lt. I really like the roll-up door. I think the checkered flag exterior would look better if it didn't have the 2x4 black and white stripes in the center of the pattern. Kind of throws off the look

You can try to apply a light, constant, force to the bent part of the wing, opposite of bend with your hands. I did this with a second hand 7734. Not sure if it was like that from the previous owner(s) play, or it's shipping. Your's doesn't seem to serious so, this will probably work. Just don't over do it. Other options are heating, either with oven or water. I would recommend manual bending over either of the other two. Heating (with an oven) is a very demanding and precise way of repairing parts. 170 degree F is when the parts become very malleable. This being a larger part it, would probably take a lower temp. Again this is a serious task and can result in a ruined part if not. It requires constant supervision and handling of hot plastic; I have not tried this. When it comes to water I have performed the following. I straightened bowed baseplates with luke warm water, only because they are very thin in comparison. You can try hot, almost boiling, or boiling water to heat the piece to where it becomes a bit more flexible. Again be very careful, this piece will probably take quite hot water to soften it a bit -
Welcome to EB Brian! I'm a Creator/City guy myself, well that and the obvious

Saw a 'Buy It Now' of a new 60016 Tanker Truck for $16.99 w/free shipping so, like a fish, I took a bite

Something reminded me of how much I liked LEGO as a kid, probably ebay. I think I had been googling "LEGO city layouts", or something "LEGO". Ended up finding the Brick Factory instructions site and Brickset, eventually ending up here. After a week or so, of looking around, I joined up and haven't left. Thank you EB & LEGO for making sure I don't have two pennies to rub together

Excellent little train! The motor mechanism and arm is quite clever. It got me to thinking, would it be possible to extend the track into an oval or larger radius with more curved pieces and creating a telescoping arm? Or would it just bind up and derail the train?
