  1. Wonderful work Duq! Like Anticyclone said, "it's beautiful!" I'm blown away by the detail, especially how you constructed the roof. Very well done
  2. 1. Continue collecting City sets indefinitely 2. Rebuild layout 3. Expand layout 4. Open a shop to permanently house layout for public viewing (pipe dream) -or- 5. Buy small lot and build a small structure to house layout (again pipe dream) 6. Eventually sell of collection back down to what it was when I went into my 'dark age' To date, I've only made it to 1
  3. I received my first two sets (1638 Basic Set Blue Bucket & 715 Basic Building Set) in 90-91, but didn't really get into collecting until 96-97. So, I have built with LEGO for about 22 years. I had other interests in High School that pulled me away from LEGO for those years and a couple after. I did not collect from 2004-2009, it was only until I purchased 10159 Century Skyway, that I got back in. I would like to continue collecting/building indefinitely, but space for the endless run of sets will eventually require me to change the way I collect. Right now I don't do too much building and haven't opened a new set in a year or two
  4. Welcome to EB Mikisajlo! A good place to start looking for bricks would be Brick Link, eBay (for bulk lots), a new place called Brick Owl, or at LEGO S@H/Pick-a-brick. You may have to adjust some of the sites (i.e. ebay, LEGO) to your country. Hope this helps
  5. Wonderful work sioka! It's very detailed
  6. [enter something cliche]

  7. Wow, this is a heck of a build! Very detailed work, again, this ship is huge. Excellent job
  8. Very well done Mr. Misty. I too like the rivet effect you created and the over all look of the ship
  9. Awesome MOC Missing Brick! MOCs from the Alien movies are some of my favorite things to see, especially when they are this good
  10. Threw a bid in and won 60004 Fire Station for $73.25 & free shipping
  11. I wish I would have taken more photos from my first layout as it was growing. I only have a few from the first couple years I was collecting and the first year I had my 'LEGO Room'. I believe this is around 1998. I, too, still have all my original sets and instructions, fortunately with little to know play wear or discoloration
  12. Fantastic work! I had to go back through your album. It's amazing what you two come up with
  13. Show them the price tag of a new 9V motor or sets, as well as to your parents. Stress what the value of them are and what it takes to replace, and what you will seek if they destroy one
  14. When I had my city up as a kid, I'd have my two brother's (3 & 8 years younger) and their friends occasionally go and play and tear things up. I tired of that and eventually got a keyed door lock. Problem solved, but if your sets are in a a room you can't lock, try what was suggested above. Gotta keep your assets safe
  15. It used to be available at Knight status (1,000 posts), in your profile options, useable only once a year. Now it is by request and decided "yes" or "no" by moderators. If you get your's changed, note that if you ever log out of EB, you have to log in using your first, original user name. (i.e. I have to use Leg Godt Gud, as opposed to the one you see). More info can be found here
  16. That is a fantastic MOC! I love the way you presented it. Are there any stills of it in full color?
  17. I can't give you any specifics, as I live on the other side of the world, but have you checked out this thread on Aussie sales/deals? I've purchased from Chowren Toys via eBay before with no problem. Their actual website (link), like the one you inquired about, isn't slapped together in 5 mins and they are advertised on Brick Set
  18. Bought on a whim on August 1st, my first large technic set, the 41999 4x4 'Boss' Crawler along with the 21103 DeLorean Time Machine and the freebie of the 30230 Mini Mech.
  19. A mini 'BOSS' of course! Neat job, it looks to have good articulation
  20. Cutest monster ever! I see you've tagged it as a squirrel, though I thinks it's a chipmunk
  21. Welcome to the posting side of EB Aeridian. Any particular interests in LEGO?
  22. Hi Ted, thanks for trying to help, but I'm not sure if this link worked
  23. Forget $2k each or a real car when you can "receive 4 NIB 41999's" for $3,300+. They're practically giving them away! But, cheers to the "best looking" technic set. I fully agree
  24. Well after an hour and a half of trying to get BrickStore to work, I'm going to half to call it. Every time I tried to import to Bricklink, I'd either get "mass import issues found" or Brickstore freezes. I guess I'll try to do this piece by piece on BL. Getting this list may take some time
