  1. Interesting read: https://medium.com/@brickstuff/lighting-the-lego-world-eff6e41e94d6 If the rumoured pricing for "Night Mode" is correct, then it's way outside my budget for an "accessory". I'd prefer to spend that money on actual Lego bricks!
  2. It will be interesting to see what Lego do to a satellite dish to increase its "playability" in the WW84 set. Unless it's a tiny dish and most of the set is the surrounding walls / environment? And it's a shame the set doesn't include Steve Trevor too.
  3. Very nice! The lettering on "jazz" is very inventive, not just the saxophone "J". I like the tiny alleyway / staircase between the buildings. It adds depth / dimension and works well with the wrap-around balconies.
  4. Based solely on the title and logo, "Monkey Kid" reminds me a lot of the TV series "Monkey" aka "Monkey Magic". It will be interesting to see what it includes.
  5. I'm disappointed that there are no new residential buildings. I guess Lego thinks that Friends is sufficient to meet the demand for housing in any Lego City? Maybe next year we'll see a return to form with fully enclosed Creator residential buildings.
  6. It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Well done. For such a "rounded" character made up of so many sweeping curves, you've rendered Mickey Mouse in Lego bricks very well.
  7. I hope that it's a true "invisible" jet (well, the closest one can get to an invisible jet in Lego)!
  8. I think it will definitely be Diana / Wonder Woman, Steve and Barbara / Cheetah. I would be very surprised to see Maxwell Lord instead of Steve Trevor. Maybe Lego will make a new "bum bag" piece for Steve?!
  9. Fingers crossed! If so, I hope that it can seat both Diana and Steve.
  10. Very cute! I like the unique shape. The hopscotch game on the pavement is a nice touch too.
  11. It's on Big W's website: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/lego-city-street-sweeper-60249/p/80218/ So, I think all Aussie Lego City streets will be clean as everyone should be able to find a street sweeper.
  12. Me too! But, the "classic" Creator houses which were beautifully designed and fully enclosed. Which seems unlikely given the new open-back / City-esque design for the Creator 3 in 1 residential and commercial buildings. The hinged / dollhouse style design isn't too bad (as a compromise between open-back and fully enclosed), except where the two sides don't "match", like Park Street Townhouse where the basements were different colours.
  13. Very nice. I like the ivy growing up the front of the building. And how well you signified the purpose of the building with the green cross sign.
  14. Very cool! Please do Xena: Warrior Princess next!
  15. What a terrific translation of a "real world" building to Lego. Great work!
  16. New Creator Toy Shop and Town House (aka tiny studio apartment with one missing wall) review: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2019/12/16/lego-creator-3-in-1-31105-toy-shop-town-house-review/
  17. Wow! It's completely unrecognisable as being "Assembly Square". What an awesome alternate build.
  18. Very tasty looking! And therefore very fitting for an ice cream store.
  19. Interesting "Modular" vehicle winner. It will look good outside the Diner, Detective's Office and Garage. I wonder if it's a hint (however slight) that the next Modular will be more ... "American" in design? I'm guessing whatever it is - it won't be a public library (as I don't see Lego following the Bookstore with a library). It doesn't immediately fit with many of my "most wanted" (i.e. a police station, cottage hospital / doctor's office, school, etc). But, it could easily be a criminal's car, a teacher's car, etc. Or it would be fine outside a block of apartments. Then again, I don't know if Lego even intended to "match" the GWP to the next Modular. They could be wholly unrelated to one another, apart from the vehicle being in "Modular" vehicle scale.
  20. Totally tubular dude or dudette!
  21. The street sweeper is a nice surprise. And the ice cream truck is very cool (pun intended).
  22. The Creator toy store is too small for my liking, but I guess that can be remedied by buying multiple sets. I will remain ever hopeful that we eventually see the Creator residential and commercial buildings return to fully-enclosed (i.e. four walled) buildings. And that we'll one day see plenty of houses released again, especially given how disappointing the recent "modular" houses were. The monster (burger) truck is too bizarre for me, but I can see it appealing to the key demographic (i.e. kids).
  23. Very cool! A deceptively "simple" design which I'm sure was hard to capture in Lego brick form. The level of detail in the interior is also impressive.
