  1. I wonder if they’ll be compromised of mini “modules” so you can easily combine them to make one big school? Here is the one DragonElves posted: https://www.instagram.com/p/CYmYo-Qp6WR/?hl=en
  2. Fingers crossed! That would be great to see.
  3. A grocery store sounds great, but … I’m guessing a lot of the piece count / value will be taken up by the road plates like the long awaited school?
  4. I wouldn’t have picked up on that myself and it’s still a struggle based on the promo photos, but very cool!
  5. I’m disappointed to hear the Noodle Shop is likely a small, open backed build like the Toy Shop (which I didn’t pick up). Hopefully we get some more fully enclosed residential and commercial buildings in the future!
  6. Very interested to see if it intention combines (by modular design) with Main Street!
  7. I want to see the Noodle Shop! Was there a rumoured townhouse too or is that just an alternate build of the noodle shop?
  8. I like the architectural style and general colour scheme, but on closer inspection, I would have liked some tweaks. Mainly I wish the art gallery / terrace extended back a lot further to remove the awkward bin connection, provide an entrance to the terrace from the hotel stairwell and to make it a bit roomier. My more minor / personal quibbles are the lack of rooms for a hotel, even if it’s boutique - I would have preferred two on the top floor and a communal bathroom somewhere. And I don’t think the art gallery and hotel lobby needed to be divided - it could have been a shared space, possibly even with a small eatery area (or maybe the bathroom).
  9. Extremely impressive! The proportions are certainly an improvement on the Police Station.
  10. I’m happy with a hotel. I wonder what the story would be? Probably not a murder. Maybe a burglary? Or a big event? I’d also be very happy if Lego did recoloured re-releases of older Modulars. I personally don’t need expanded / complete interiors. A red Market Street, a Blue Grocer, etc would all be great.
  11. Interested in learning more about the townhouse / noodle shop. Could be good to place next to the Spring Lantern Festival.
  12. I’m a bit out of the loop when it comes to the City theme - if the hospital and school are branded “My City” does that mean they come with the new brick built roads? Or will ALL their bricks be dedicated to the buildings and vehicles?
  13. I’d love a large, single purpose building - hospital, school, court house, library, museum, post office, apartment building, etc. But, the trend definitely seems to be for multiple buildings or at least multi-purpose buildings. That typed, they squeezed a police station amongst a doughnut shop and an unknown / repurposed building, so anything is possible - if there’s an “amusing” connection.
  14. An apartment building - could be very awesome!
  15. Fingers crossed for some Creator residential builds next year! Ideally, similar to the older, bigger, fully enclosed style.
  16. What an awesome set! It’s very early days, but I wonder whether the spirit of inclusivity and representation will eventually translate to the makeup of families in Duplo, City and other themes?
  17. Hospital, school, post office, museum, library, hotel and an apartment building would be great to see.
  18. I’m surprised Lego and Disney went with Elsa’s Ice Palace over the Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle, especially since it recently had a major refresh. I hope they’ll get around to the Sleeping Beauty Castle eventually.
  19. Very nice! I hope Lego release a suitably classic police car in the near future.
  20. Awesome work! If you hadn’t said, I wouldn’t have “recognised” the Corner Garage at all. An incredible reuse of the bricks from the original set.
  21. Good post! I agree with a lot of your thoughts / opinions which were expressed respectfully. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a future single purpose Modular building.
  22. Isn’t the crack part of the escape from the gaol cell storytelling / play mechanism?
  23. They not only look alike, they also dress alike! Or did he gift his wife his mother’s old clothes?
  24. I like it, but I don’t understand it. So, the police station was presumably built first and then the lavender doughnut shop encroached upon their footprint by two studs. So, the police station then purchased and combined with the green building which seems too narrow to have ever been an independent building. Why not just ditch the green building as a separate building, expand the doughnut shop to its required / real width and give us a police station with a single, consistent and grander facade? Toilets continue to be a bizarre and inconsistent addition - there are toilets for the gaol cell and police station, but not the thief’s studio apartment? Maybe that’s why he’s committing such an obvious crime - to be locked up so he can empty his bowels? It seems to me that the facade was designed first and the interior is just a hodgepodge in response to the facade’s limitations. Edit: I’m not a fan of incomplete walls between the police station and doughnut shop either. I guess they did that for adult hands? But, it just seems cheap and a bit nonsensical to me. Similarly, the escape tunnel seems ... odd given you have to pull apart the gaol cell to use it. Play features like this seem unnecessary in a supposedly 18+ set!
