This will be one of the best years of CITY, alongside 2007, of course: Police supercar! Prison island! Supercar! Blue Chrysler Town & Country! Prison island! Stud shooting fire truck! Garbage dump truck! Tire escaping! Ferry! Gigantic monster truck! PRISON ISLAND!!!!

But we want to hear them from you. I don't like to lurk in the Evil Forest of 4Chan.

Lego part colors you hate.
ilikeboomerang1 replied to Takanuinuva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't like how the old greys look on the old road plates. They look as if they've been weathered for a LONG time. At least the new ones look like freshly made roads. -
I don't know how they look like in RL, but to me the closest we might get to that are the late 90s snowplow train, and the multiple road and rail trucks.

I like it, but I think it would've been MUCH better with the Octan branding.

1. News Anchor 2. Meteorologist 3. Mayor 4. Firefighter 5. Policeman 6. Octan Worker 7. Train Conductor 8. Activist 9. Fast Food Cashier (like that Simpsons character) 10. Bad Boss 11. Sneaky Insurance Man 12. Cow Guy 13. Store Manager 14. Broccoli Man 15. Country Singer 16. Sports Show Panelist (like someone from an ESPN discussion show) -
I don't know if I can post this, but this is my dream ''set schedule'' for CITY, which will sadly never be: Police would return every 5 years, Fire too, Construction and Demolition would rotate every 5 years, Trains and Airport would be every 3 years, and Hospital and Cargo would rotate every 4 years, while Civilian sets would rotate with subtheme returns every 2 summers.

I know.

I mostly want the Supermarket and the Pop Star House. We finally get a non-Juniors-or-Simpsons supermarket, yay! I seriously hope it gets the cereal box from the Supermarket Suitcase.

That drill one looks like a train version of Cole's Driller.

[MOC] Younger me had the right idea... [Car]

It's just that it looks unfinished without the enclosing. Maybe you could try to make a working converter roof with Technic stuff. -

I think it would be better if 1. you try to make it enclosed 2. you use actual windscreens 3. you use the doors. -
Yes, but it was still the first airport with CITY branding. It's just that first in 2004 they released the full-sized box but in 2005 they changed to CITY.

Another question: should I get the CITY Spaceport or the Creator Expert Shuttle Adventure? I actually lean toward the Spaceport because I don't care how many pieces it has, I just care if it's minifig scale and able to be swooshable (because my kids play with our LEGO).

Actually this year was technically the anniversary of the first City Airport, the 10159 LEGO City Airport, which was a rerelease of the Century Skyway, but was (I think) one or THE first set to be released with CITY branding.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
ilikeboomerang1 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
When I finish a block, I would put the FW and a park in the middle, with the DO alleyway being an entrance to it. -
Hi guys, I'm going to make a collection of the ''patterns'' LEGO City uses in their sets: Patterns we know: Police and Firefighters sets are every 3 years, except in 2005/2006 when they had a Police and Fire Station in both. City Trains sets are every 4 years. They always have a Passenger Train and a Train Station. The only year that I can think of that had a train that wasn't every four years was this year with the Heavy Haul Train. Patterns we know but might not be true: Civilian sets are every 2 years and have more than 900 pieces.

Is the 4561 a good set to start on LEGO Trains?
ilikeboomerang1 replied to ilikeboomerang1's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for your answers. When I thought of modding the 4561 to PF, I was thinking of extending the locomotive to put the motor, IR receiver and battery box. And also, I found a good deal for it in eBay, as it's for 90 dollars. -
Hi guys, here's another question of mine: Is the Railway Express a good set to start on Lego Trains? What I'm going to do in my town is actually this: The bottom of my town would have the 4561, and then their would be some stands which would hold rails for the 8404 and 60097 tram. What I also want to know is, is it better to mod it for PF, or leave it as it is? Please answer, this would help me a lot in my town.

I hope he will still sell the thing for the propellers and turbines. I seriously do not want to buy the Vestas Windmill just for that, because I want to buy the Octan Windmill!
