No idea, but this comes to mind.. I know the horse is long dead, but I'm still bummed we didn't get Vortech.

Maybe someday, or maybe I'll beat you to it, time will tell!

I don't mind the white, in fact I really wish the red eye on the torso would have been white (or silver), or just not even there altogether. The red is just out of place, although the vampire face is not bad. The new helmet mould looks close enough for both medieval fantasy and technology, which is good! Interested to see what the other figs have to offer.

Agreed, orcs are best fitting in Nocturnus. Maybe a peasant is not the perfect setup for storytelling, as usually peasants don't go on all kinds of adventures. That doesn't really matter if you plan on building a lot in the same area, though. There are so many types of characters you could go for, think of: travelling merchant, soldier, leader of a band of thieves, rogue, wizard, mercenary, nobleman, dragon trainer, escapee, etc. Chose whichever excites you most, for the purpose of your story, builds and guild.

I believe I've made the same mistake with the DK in an earlier comment, I'll try to remember it this time...

Considering how well-received it was, the price point of the set and the shelf life of other products in that price range, I'd guess at the very least 4 years. Btw, I got the TRU minifig pack. Love Neuro! The Kai face if possibly the best one yet, an ideal blend of the scarred face of the sets and the facial features he has in the show. Much like the minifig pack exclusive Zane, Cryptor's print wraps around the side of the head. No secondary faces though. -
Welcome back, Stormblessed! I am not sure how familiar you are with the Guilds, but this how the overarching plot line has proceeded in the meantime: A period of relative piece in Historica. With the High King (of all Historica) gone, the Guilds are the highest bodies of rulership. Nocturnus has a civil war, which is won by the Black Spire under the lead of Lord Raavage. The Resistance however remains ever-present, mainly in the north of Nocturnus. Kaliphlin has a civil war. The Desert King, an undead pharaoh, and his army of mummies take over Kaliphlin. The High Council of Kaliphlin is forced into the shadows. Mitgardia is invaded by frost creatures, the Algus, from the far north (Frozen Beyond). Unable to hold them back and defeat them completely, these creature penetrate to the other Guilds's territories. Eventually, the Algus are defeated on all fronts, but they still remain untouched in the Frozen Beyond. A period of relative piece, once more. Tensions in Nocturnus reach a critical point: Ravaage is about to defeat the Resistance once and for all. The Desert King High Council, the Algus and the Black Spire have joined forces and Ravaage is preparing to conquer more than Nocturnus alone. The true heir to the throne of Historica is found in Avalonia, which makes heavens and earth move and unites all forces of Historica in a war against Ravaage and his allies. Ravaage is defeated (not sure if this is 100% canon yet). You can read in more detail about the overarching plot on the first pages of this thread, as well as on each Guild's thread. Main storyline aside, there are many interesting personal sagas to read up upon, which contribute a lot to the total amount of lore-building of Historica. Don't hesitate to ask questions! Anyone, please correct me if I made a mistake somewhere, I haven't read all the lore. EDIT: corrected mistake (see red)

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Exetrius replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Why too small? I'm pretty sure the carts can be used as bogeys for the carriages. For motorization, you can then put power functions in the carriage to drive a rubber "cheater wheel" system. Only in theory of course, don't know if that would work in practice. Asking the right questions, there! I had a book with all kinds of vehicles and means of transport, in which I saw a monorail for the first time. Whenever I played with my wooden railway (you know, the Brio one), I made elevated track supported by blocks. I was first exposed to LEGO monorails when I was 10 (in 2007), as part of a MOC at a fan convention, which had me fascinated! What's so compelling about monorails, and which sets it apart from the regular railway system, is three-dimensional transport. It can connect street level with the fifth story of a building and is compact enough to run through a LEGO city (this was basically my childhood dream). In the same way, the narrow track in the Temple of Doom set is appealing. I think this 3D transport would appeal to kids nowadays just as much. Look at how popular mine cart tracks are in Minecraft! They take you up and down; from deep caves, through the sky, around your village, to the top of your mountain base. Enough proof for assuming that 3D transport speaks to the imagination of kids, who lack that nostalgia factor.- 991 replies

Found a review of the sticker multi-pack, seems like the polybag included differs per batch? The one below has ToE Kai, instead of Ronin that I found in store. -

Next magazine inclusion is a minibuild of Clay's jet: Much like the mini Double Jouster, this thing looks well-designed for it's scale! -

@LegendsOfNinjago Thanks for your review (would still appreciate pics, though )! Ordered Lloyd's mech dragon yesterday for €45,- with free shipping and free TRU Ninjago minifig pack. Delivery would have been tomorrow, but the dragon was out of stock, so I'll be patiently waiting another week or two. In other news, I checked out my local store (Toys XL Middelburg), most notable find was the sticker multi-pack (40 stickers) which came with the Ronin magazine polybag. At €5,99 however, I wasn't interested. The Bounty was discounted to €130,49 but I'm saving for Ninjago City. Another thing to note: I've seen the Temple of the Ultimate Ulitmate Weapon priced at €99,99 and elsewhere (Intertoys) at a staggering €129,99 -

So, you are probably all aware of the Joker Manor by now... and I feel bad for repeating it for the millionth time, but: it contains rollercoaster elements! Pic for reference: Just thinking out loud here: what happens if you take a light grey, elongated-circle track with gentle slopes, and slap a train on the carts? Oh hey, next year has an anniversary line... You know where this is going, don't you? Talking about the physical, confirmed stuff: take a look at those window panes: trans yellow and regular trans green (which was a subject here not too long ago IIRC)! Should be useful.- 991 replies

Ah, I see! The middle one is new to me, as it isn't in the Brickset database. @Robert8 Thanks for posting in this thread! The contents are nothing too exciting, but most of the parts are available for purchase on B&P, most notably the Kingdoms torso. Also: the interesting space parts. -

@Mesabi @Henjin_Quilones Well, I couldn't have phrased that better. Some people are mainly in for the (big) architecture, which can be themed to any guild to place it in a larger context, but no real story attached. On the other side of the spectrum are the people that create (small) scenes focused mainly on characters and accompanied by extensive stories. Either (or anything in between) is fine, have fun!* *Nocties have more fun than others!

I may have gone to see it in cinema, on the condition that it would be in English... and that's a bit of a problem when you live in a country where that isn't one of the official languages... (I watched the Dutch trailers, but I'm just not fond of the voice acting). So here I am, sitting, waiting. Dodging spoilers until a dvd gets released. I did it with TLM and TLBM (still waiting), so I know I can do it again.
