  1. Just saw the new DC Superheroes sets. There will be a whole set of new magic power blasts of some sort. Amazing, much needed!
  2. I don't see any problems with swapping out the arms for black ones, on an army-building scale. @Jurik thanks for sharing! Oddly satisfying to see them like this. Definitely going to customize Nya this way!
  3. Dear people, This is the SET discussion thread, not for the SHOW or the MOVIE. Please keep that in mind. Have a nice day. ( @Peppermint_M Sorry for mini-modding, but I don't feel like reporting all of these members individually)
  4. @Henjin_Quilones @soccerkid6 @Gunman @Blufiji Thanks guys for your feedback and compliments! I have to admit that I have mixed feelings about the base as well, so next time I will try to make it less 'rough', while still maintaining the sense of dynamic movement.
  5. Black and trans green villains? Sounds great to me! Interesting that they brought gold into the colour scheme of a knight's vehicle, or maybe it's a royal vehicle!
  6. Welcome, Cozei! I saw some neat builds of yours on Flickr. I advice you: build things that inspire and motivate you, otherwise you may lose interest. I'd also like to refer to the my comment in the Nocturnus guild thread, might help you get a better idea how to get started: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/85716-book-ii-nocturnus-guild-sign-up-and-discussion/&do=findComment&comment=2821731
  7. @TitusV Uh.. may I remind you what crawled out of my kitchen: ... "typical pumpkin-pie-baker"
  8. See? Archetypical tree hugger right here! Nice signature btw, just updated mine too (after eh.. a year and two months?).
  9. @mishtron Greetings, welcome to our Guild! To answer your questions: First of all, let me start by saying that there is a whole lot of freedom in Nocturnus, in terms of rules. 1. I don't know exact statistics, but most of our characters either seem to be leader of some race/alliance/town (Lord Ravaage, Lord Vladivus, Gal-Turok, Osric Isentooth), or a self-proclaimed powerful wizard. Little exceptions that I know of (Remington Rot: the undead bard, and some mercenary). No obligations to give your character prescence in your MOCs, let alone writing a personal saga. Many like to do that, though. 2. So, unlike Avalonia, we are not going to assign and claim our strictly flag-pole-boundary-marked patches of territory. The Darklands are very wild, dangers lurk in just about every corner; things will try to eat you, other beings will try to rob you.. and then eat you! What I mean is, the relative distances are very big and thus it is hard to maintain absolute control over a considerably big area all the time. Therefor: We like to establish our turf in the form of a fortress/town/city, a (relatively!) safe haven surrounded by Nocturnian wilderness. If you flesh out these establishments with builds, you may be allowed to indicate their place on the map, so that they will be there with the next map update (can take a while). Usual indication of where some build is located: 'Northern Rakath mountains', 'somewhere in the Moruth Swamplands', 'a day east of Skavenport', etc. We also like to establish our own towns, so we can go crazy with unique architecture. Kyrrath, City of Purple is a perfect example. Building in somebody's city considered a form of collaboration: message the respective member about it. Be careful that the surrounding area may appear often in that person's backstory, you could read up to that to see if your ideas fit in in that area. 3. Nocturnus offers mining resources, an unmatched diversity of creatures and races, shady activities (armies for hire and stuff, who knows?) and powerful (dark) magic. There may be more trade with other guilds than you might expect! Your idea of werebears and a strong vampire bloodline (like Vladivus) sounds great. Like @TitusV says: try to balance building and story. Build first, gain name and fame along the way!
  10. I guess most of that has been (and will be) done here, and in the review thread, once that's up.
  11. Seems like it has been available at LEGO brand store building events in Germany at the very least, according to Promobricks. They also have a review, but the contents of the set are a disappointment, honestly:
  12. I'm not buying those because I'm only willing to buy them at half the current price. There are some nice designs and I would love to amass those nexogons, but there's only a handful of powers I'd actually like the design of. So, without any way of feeling them out, I'm going to be stuck with a bunch of stuff I am unable to integrate in MOCs, for which I did pay.
  13. Surprise! The next minifigure to be included in the Ninjago Magazine is a Stone army warrior: What year is it again??
  14. Thank you, Titus! The black part is one such ancient artifact, built with spiders around a travis brick, star wars guns of different lengths and flippers. Check out the images in the spoiler, should make sense now.
  15. Thanks guys! A Dutch webshop has them 75% discounted, down to €1.99 so I guess that's worth a try then.
  16. Anyone know if the blocks of the pen connect to regular studs? Picture: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?G=P1564#T=P
  17. Honestly, what parent would buy their kids a couple of packs, without the feeling of being stabbed in the wallet? What's more: getting home and opening the packs, only to find out that those aren't the figs the kids wanted!
  18. Oh yes! Give us those, please! The one with the samurai helmet kind of looks like the marching army from the trailer:
  19. If any Dutch folks are interested: I saw the activity book with The Penguin figure at bookshop Bruna, for €6,99.
  20. So, I found this series at the local toy store (Intertoys) today... €4,49 per pack. Screw that!
  21. Sorcerer of the Smothering Sands There are stories of dark and ancient powers, lying buried throughout the Desertlands. Those who believe in tales like these are often mocked. Few have the hope and courage to look for these relics, and even fewer have ever caught a glimpse what they really are. Of course, there have been people claiming to have witnessed bizarre events. Events unlike any type of natural disaster or magic known to Kaliphlin. Unbelievable events... Yet, those who seek, may eventually find. And when they do, the heavens tremble and the earth surges! They awaken.. the Smothering Sands... More pics: Hi everyone! Here's a small little freebuild, continuing in the Kali setting. Built for the Summer Joust 2017 contest, 8x8 vig category. I revised the base several times, but I'm satisfied with the result. Anyway, C&C is much appreciated!
  22. Interesting.. Colcano Base? Given the photograph Garmadon is holding in the CMF series, I'm inclined to think this should be Volcano Base, which would be cool!
  23. @Sportzjester Yes: Skiff Guard torso updated Han Solo hair Han Solo Hoth torso UCS B-wing canopy This 2x2 control panel tile: https://brickset.com/parts/4615837 a couple of the Rogue One CCBS parts That's all I could find, please give us a heads-up if you find any more yourself.
  24. Jay in an upcoming book: https://www.bol.com/nl/p/the-lego-ninjago-movie/9200000075892260/?promo=unknown_818_recentbekeken-MCM-slot_D1_product_1_#product_specifications No luck for the Netherlands: the Water Strider will at least be 40 euros, possibly 45, as brickshop.nl usually stays close to the recommended retail price (they list it as 44,99). They do have a tempting 15% pre-order discount, though: https://www.brickshop.nl/lego/lego-ninjago.html As I thought: Cole's minifig is the best, once again!
