Edit: New polybag on Brickset: The Kendo training pods are at Shop@Home now, available for €9,99 in the Netherlands... Not a fair price if you ask me.

A picture of the Ford Fiesta WRC (75885) leaked on reddit. Though it has stickers on more surfaces than I care to count, there is so much shaping with all types of different small modified tiles that they could be left of! What's very exciting: a new addition to the tile assortment: 2x2 45 degree triangle, in black and in dark blue!

It would certainly be possible to have legs, arms and head translucent, that's been done in Ninjago already. Technically, I think it would also be possible to have a translucent wizard hat, and even a beard! Will 2018 be the year of TRANSLUCENT BEARDS?! Honestly, they have put a lot of effort in figure design in Nexo Knights on the whole, but I fear a Merlok figure like that would be to much work to be feasible.

I agree with previous comments, the angled rockwork is outstanding! You also made great use of the opportunity to have angled grass/vegetation coverage on top, creating a very organic look! The nest and the minifig scene are perfectly executed, too. Some criticism, if I may. I actually can't find a lot to like about the dragon. The olive and grey work well and the head has a recognizable profile, but for the rest I have some suggestions. Firstly, I think the black doesn't belong in the colour scheme. For the horns and claws I'd go with silver (to blend with grey) or gold (to match the wings). Secondly, I'm not much of a fan of fabric wings with obvious structure underneath on the whole, but if you do chose to do them, maybe try grey instead of black. Thirdly, the wings seem to be placed backwards, which makes the structure more awkward from an aerodynamic and anatomical point of view. Finally, (a personal thing) I think a pointy spike tail would look better than the hammerhead design. I'm well aware there that the chosen scale and colour scheme come with some very tough challenges, some nearly impossible to overcome with current parts and purist techniques. Regardless, I hope you don't mind me pointing out where you may still improve!

That backstory really does it! Effective texturing on the floor and the walls, although I do feel like the 1x1 rounds stand out a bit to much there, maybe they would have looked better on headlight bricks due to the inset. The pie is a nice touch to add to the scene.

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion

I haven't heard of a third wave coming. I'd imagine there would be enough material left to fill three more sets, at most. -
Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I guess, only if you don't want to MOC it, of course Basically all the pieces in the set are useful when building castle, so that's a big plus. And, the new cloth curtain, fantastic! I've been catching up on reviews, and there were two disappointments in a row: One, TLBM CMF Jor-El features a very obvious Superman emblem on the torso (source). Two, the traditional paper windows (with golden lotus blossom) in the Temple of Resurrection are stickers (source)! In the past, those have been printed, always. On the flip side, literally, there is the window frame in black, with two supports going across, which is really useful for traditional Japanese interiors. Staying within the Ninjago theme, the new ninja pods include more colour variations of the black kendo helmets (source). -
The paper windows aren't printed, a real shame! Breaks the trend of all the fantastic printed decorated windows that came before. I'd say that's the only flaw of the set, though.

Temple's and dojos are good, but a palace would make for a very welcome change! I've been a little out of the loop on the magazines. Current inclusion is Chen (Day of the Departed feels so long ago, doesn't it?), in January there will be training gi Jay with the movie hair, a nunchuck and a set of lightning bolts.

Next magazine will include Robin, and a healthy number of accessories. I like the new shoulder armour better than the one before and the face is just great for fleshie pilots! By the way, I too would love a big, ominous tech-infection base, with infected Knighton soldiers. What would a vampire wave be without any innocent commoners turned vampire!

LEGO Worlds super-expansion pack, how about that!

I'm sure that's fine. You can have a preliminary sigfig and update it later on, too. If you don't want to fully reveal your character, you could also do a teaser shot from the back. And don't forget: freebuilds are always acceptable, whichever guild they are for and regardless of which one you joined! Maybe have a look at the first episode of my saga prologue, click the link "Onicius Prologue" in my signature, as I started in sort of a different way as well.

@Lyichir Right, forgot about that on! @x105Black You have a point, but that set wasn't really trying to be a floating island, was it. And the shield is stickered, definitely. You can see it on Brickset's super high-res images. Could have been sooo good -

Seeing how this was posted in January, I might be a bit late to this discussion... Anyway, @jamesster thanks for uploading those videos! That intro scene is indeed very reminiscent of LU. Love the character designs for Scarlet and Mad Creator, I wish they would somehow show up in the CMF line. I wonder how big the investments are for these games like the Minifigures MMO and Quest & Collect, Chima Online, Nexo Knights app and Ninjago app. They follow kind of a similar aesthetic, so maybe they have a template that can be easily modified to make new games, thus making it relatively cheap? Do they keep releasing these RPG games to gauge interest in the genre? What is itching is the fact that they actually feature numerous characters of old LEGO themes, as well as design new original characters, but never LU cameos!

You got it! I am most exited about the diamond-like shards and the recoloured flame pieces! And there's a trans light blue vine piece, which is just amazing! All the decorations in the smallest set are printed, thus including the book. The other book in the largest set and the decorated black shield seem to have stickers. It should be noted that, iirc, this is the first time a lego set explores the concept of floating islands, which of course is a fantastic thing! -
Geez, yet another white recoloured hairpiece! It's in this Elves set: https://brickset.com/sets/41193-1 Furthermore, a cool new elf hairstyle. It's similar to the one in 'Stephanie's Sports Arena', but then with elf ears: https://brickset.com/sets/41194-1

There's a guy in this set with a red Rock Raiders helmet: https://brickset.com/sets/70921-1/Harley-Quinn-Cannonball-Attack. Could be cool for a Rock Raiders - M-tron crossover. Honestly, no idea.- 991 replies

Certainly. Bikers: check. Chaos and anarchy: check! Could have used a little more cyberpunk in the sets though, and some more (infra)structure builds. I do see some modern day influences as well, mostly in the colour scheme. It reminds me of the tuned Lambo gangs: Too bad there is no such car among the Ninjago biker gang. Correct.
