  1. Don't worry Bart! And hopefully your journeys will inspire you to build something that made an impression on you!
  2. It is indeed a nice fortification. Now blast those pesky plants to smithereens!!! Or use pesticides. Or petrol and pollute the whole island for centuries! Muhaha!
  3. A nice building showing a scene of everyday life in a settlement. I particularly like the rooms for rent with the beds. I would also suggest you put some more details at the facades and the sea if you feel like it. That way you can break the monotony of the ldd sleekness and make the surfaces more real life. I am by no means an expert on that (still learning myself and still lacking proper bricks) but do explore a bit. Oh and as always, you make our glorious nation proud!
  4. To be or not to be! That is the real question! Building-wise, I quite like this peaceful vignette!
  5. Great building with fitting interior! It is leaning closely to the late medieval buildings in the old world and I can easily imagine a street full of them. I also found the inclusion of the ninjago "viper" helm/skull a nice idea next to the skull minifig.
  6. Great story and even nicer moc! I particularly liked the road being paved, the office room, the stairs just outside the building ( they seem so right in scale) and the roof with the decoration right below. Oh, and Kwatchi was right on the photo selection though. You have to admire it in its entirety!
  7. Excellent build an a very nice selection of minifig heads. This surely is a nicelying planned assassination! Where do I chip in? Oops!
  8. I am with Cpt Dee on that, so I will skip. Hopefully the zombie shark appears on an other more "conventional" ship or set altogether.
  9. I believe there won't be a shark since they would have shown it to us by now. Yet, I might be totally wrong... Nevertheless, without having seen the movie, I quite like the figs but I can't say the same for the ghost ship (except the brick built cannons and the tattered sails). 10210 and "Queen Ann's Revenge" still remain above "Silet Mary" on my favorite pirate ship list. On the OTHER hand, nothing prohibits you from moc-ing that set (heavily) and come up with a subjectively better ship. Let's see now how 200 $ are translated into € by TLG...
  10. Steadily growing I see! Nice work. I especially like the "islander" architecture and the way you depicted the not-so-wavy sea
  11. Thanks guys! I wanted to build some donkeys pack mules for quite some time and after licensing the salt mine, it was their time. I didn't know if I wanted to tile everything on them to look smoother or just live with the much loved studs, so I kind of built two versions (one larger than life and one more size appropriate one). Also I forgot to mention that the rock-work was a meager attempt on something other than BURPing but however nice it looks, it surely is too part consuming . Anyway, thanks for commenting and the Oleon members for the guidance on the wip stage.
  12. Ahahahaha! The backstabbing at this thread is getting better and better!!!
  13. The miners at the salt mine in Breshaun, had to transport their valuable cargo down the hill from the extraction point. Due to the lack of a proper road, they carved narrow passages on the rocks and relied heavily on pack mules. Below we can see Old Jesse and Rosita (a younger mule) doing the heavy work. Ok, I might have added some extra weight on Old Jesse in comparison to Rosita, but who doesn't love some LEGO animal extravaganza? Obviously it's Old Jesse's soul that does the carrying rather than his body. Anyway, which of the two pack mules do you prefer? And a further top down photo Thanks for watching everybody!
  14. Following the discovery of a significant salt ore at the mine, Hugo D' Offren came to inspect the first batch of salt ore that was extracted from the mine. The miners arent that happy due to the salt making the whole mine atmosphere unhealthy and because EVERYBODY was expecting silver to be found!
  15. Hmmm, tread carefully young explorer...!
  16. Oh, I can't believe all the backstabbing words that are being written on this thread!!! Parate por Dios (to use that Eslandolan accent)!!!
  17. Very nice custom ones! I wouldn't tell the difference If i haven't already known.
  18. You DO know Maxim that your words can be taken as an insult to our King and country, thus demanding that our dignity be restored, right? And that we withhold the right to wash out all this slandering of yours by challenging you to a duel... I am not throwing some glove over there, but DO mind your business (or whatever else you are doing), else the pistols with their superb Oleander craftsmanship will speak... !!! Muhahahahaha!!!
  19. EVERY TIME i am looking at that baby I am left speechless! I love those sloped forts sooo much!!! KB you are a small (Oleander) god!
  20. Oh, the mystery is killing me!! Nice dialog hooking us up for the next episode...! And I also love the posing of the sailors with the trade goods (whatever that might be...)
  21. That ship is also nice (although I prefer the previous one ). If I had to comment on something here is that the stern seems a bit off on the back side (I mean it looks like it is hanging and not being a part of the hull itself. I would prefer it slightly inwards that is). Still the atmosphere of your ships is just spot on hardcore 90s!!!
  22. A nice classic ship! Very nice use of sloped bricks and also colors. I even like the size of her somehow!
