  1. A really detailed ship (dark red brick-built sails rock!), great docking area plus scenery and a nice crane! What not to love!!!
  2. After using Blue render: blue render 1st try by Spy Tha, on Flickr I am not sure about the background OR the extreme "white-ness" of the white bricks (you can't see their texturing and their details with them being that white), still i think it is ok-ish
  3. @inkpanther Thanks for your fast reply! I will experiment a bit then and see how it goes!
  4. Hello guys! I am new in blue render and I would like some help. Is there a way to make shading a bit darker (either via blue render or in LDD) because the way white bricks appear to me, they are too bleached thus losing some of their detailing when using textured bricks. Also can I make the resulted picture a bit bigger? In order to better understand my questions, this is what I get when using it for the first time. blue render 1st try by Spy Tha, on Flickr Thanks beforehand and a huge thanks to the developers of this program!
  5. @Bregir Make that project great ans we will all try to lobby it for front-page for the whole world to see our dear BoBS members!
  6. Thanks! I am currently d/l Blue render as we speak and I will try it out a bit Thanks Bodi! No need to appoint a firing squad. Everything is taken care of. You have your ships and I have my ...ahem...other resources! I am glad you liked those bullet holes. You can also put other colored bricks behind them (i.e. dark red) so as to reveal the sort of damaged wall (or paint or whatever). Oh, and don't paying attention to these accusations Phred. He who throws mud, ends up dirty as well
  7. Way more than 2 great entries here but since we must vote 2 of them... #5 and #13 for me!
  8. It would be an honor for Constable De Tourment and his family to attend
  9. Thanks CG! Maybe holes are from a blunderbuss practice thus the relevant scattering?? I know rendering is really a must for LDD creations, so I need to go that direction in the future. Don't get me started on minifig choices, posing etc on LDD...
  10. These holes are currently from firing practice but don't push your luck! I am glad you liked it and I know what you mean about rendering. I haven't reached that level yet though. One step at a time (currently pondering about blue-render).
  11. Having limited time and since my LEGO bricks currently need "redeploying" in order to build anything (assuming the baby leaves me time), I am spending a bit more time in LDD. So, while experimenting with the "half stud" technique on walls, I ended up building the following moc. It is an Oleander barracks and prison along with a wall for firing practice (and more ). Nothing fancy considering innovative techniques and stuff but I quite liked the way it ended up. Interior is almost non existent, but for some benches at the prison section. As always, C&C is appreciated!
  12. Nice one Bart!
  13. Nice one! I like the fact that it also has interior details. I also like the fact that you went the extra mile and there aren't many empty spaces around
  14. Very nice, classic looking ship and obviously your kind of style (which I clearly like btw)! That old trade ship logo on the sails is one of the best looking ones in the whole TLG "Pirates" line.
  15. Yummy! Another quality ship from you! Brown/black/tan with touches of other colors works wonders! Stern and rigging looks impressive and I quite like the fact that you went the extra mile and added a proper crew! Vive le Roi!
  16. This ship is GREAT! Black looks really nice in this ship and proves that a (nearly) total black LEGO ship can look really imposing without missing its details! Especially interesting parts imo are the rigging (kudos for this flexi-tube technique), the gray protruding windows, the huge anchor and the stern details. All in all a really impressive ship and a proper jewel of Oleon! Long live "The Order"!
  17. Loved it! (and I was about to write that someone bought clayface the moment I saw your moc )
  18. Meh, I fav-ed it on flickr and forgot to comment here . I really like it and is totally on par with your other excellent creations. However small, it has so many details and interesting techniques that I keep looking at it to memorize stuff My favorite parts are the piano at the corner and ofc the extremely good looking fireplace.
  19. WooooW! You excel both in brick AND in LDD after all! Gorgeous looking building. I love the idea behind a "House of Trade". P.S: Can we have a close up of the carriage? It looks really promising from afar...!
  20. I am always glad to see sandy beaches (and engineering equipment ) !!!
  21. Much much much better! Keep up the great work!
  22. That's quite a beast! Also nice that you added some more photos at the pier. My only criticism is that her sails look a bit small compared to its size so I would prefer them to be a bit bigger. Other than that, I like it a lot! Oh, and eternal @@pombe just hit again!!!
  23. Nice build! I also like the floor and I somehow loved the way that someone with a hilarious name (seriously FISH?? ) comes with a sack and then a skull is pulled out
