  1. The rock work is really good. The waves are awesome looking. The outpost itself is rather simple, seems you could spice up the windows and doors a bit. But overall it looks good.
  2. You can find the instructions for free online. Most of the Imperial trading post is very simple and uses very common parts. The only special parts are the white wall sections, the raised baseplate and of course the sails for the two boats.
  3. haha the cat face in the wall made me laugh. Looks very playable, but would like an overall pic of the entire thing.
  4. That is extremely good! I love the chain mail armor! and I like how you used minifigure legos for the elbows! Very creative
  5. Thanks, the only new Pirates set I have is the Brick Bounty. All the other stuff is what I got as a kid. But if I had more of the new pirates I would defiantly add them in. Its just a tough one because I love castle so much that Pirates is always a second. But the Ships especially the old ships look soo dang good. Id really like the Caribbean Clipper and the 90s Imperial Flagship someday.
  6. I also think it should just be a forge. It doesnt look Inn like at all. But it looks like an awesome blacksmith forge!
  7. I agree with that. I think the Castle theme needs more variety. The last sets that were out didnt have much to offer for the dragon knights. Also would have been nice to add some village elements. But I think that maybe raised baseplates could be good for smaller castles and then use regular baseplates for the flagship castle.
  8. Half of my medieval peasants are really former JEDI haha. I took alot of my Star Wars characters and re-pourposed them. The Old Jedi minifigs make fantastic medieval village people.
  9. I know this is an older topic.. but I like the old baseplates. I own kings mountain fortress, black knights castle, and royal knights castle. They were all bought for me when I was a kid brand new. The baseplates stood the test of time for me and today they are in perfect condition still. I still use them in my castle MOCs, for the smaller forts. Some of the newer baseplates were ugly and odd, but the older ones are nice. I would like to see a nice castle using the raised baseplates in the future.
  10. Bricklink would be a good way to view all the different minifigs. I have alot of the newer blue lion knights, but before those guys the red lion knights looked very very nice. And the red guys also have silver helmets
  11. I would just like nicer castles. Some chariots would be nice, so would wagons and coaches...... Siege equipment like catapults. Hopefully in 2016 something nice comes out of the castle line. I would even like some village elements.
  12. Castle... and close second Pirates.
  13. I wish Lego would just stick to the classic themes, such as Castle, Pirates, City, Space. I think Lego has too many themes going on, they should stick to the classics and make them awesome! I wish the new Pirates ships where like the classic ships! -I hate that the new Pirates ships dont use strings, I dislike their small and printed sails. -I think the new ship is to small I wish Lego would make more castle sets and higher quality. Why cant there be UCS and Modular castle sets!!! I wish Star Wars would just die!! Its been out since what 1999? its a decades old theme, and now all they are doing is making expanded universe vehicles and constant re-makes of vehicle they already have.. I mean how many dang different x-wings do you need? not to mention the several AT-ATs. They need to cut star wars and focus on other things. Thats is all. Oh yes.. I also agree that the Lego Movie sets should be scrapped.
  14. I used cannons from my wild west sets, and lone ranger sets. Or i like to buy really cheap sets that have a minifigure and a cannon. But I do like to outfit all my ships with full cannons.
  15. I like all the extra bright colors you added into the building. The beach flows nicely and the entire scene fits well. Great textures on the roof!
  16. TheLegoDr, thanks and good luck with your castle buiild. My daughter was playing with this today, she loves the princess and the fact that she has rooms to play in.
  17. Yea I agree with ya. Maybe TLG will come out with another IFS or maybe they will re-release it. I could only hope haha. I would like to build more merchant ships but I would need more hull pieces and some sails.... unless i make my own sails.
  18. I had alot of fun setting it up and placing all the pirates. I took it down, i am now building my Castle kingdom on that table. Ill post pics when its finished. Thanks all
  19. Ahh that would make more sense. To have different size ships with different prices. I was in my dark ages when the new imperial flagship came out... so sdaly i was never able to buy it, and now its like $600 and thats too much for me.
  20. yes it would seem so.... hahaha
  21. I love the imperial trading post. SES is my second.
  22. The new imperial flagship..... but if i was to go with what i own then i would choose the SES.
  23. Nice review. I love the minifigures, but dont like the actual set. Because i grew up in the 80s im partial to the old forts of the 90s. This set just seems soo small to be a fort and soo many open areas.
  24. I agree with you, there needs to be more and larger trade ships. In a perfect world Lego would have come out with 1 Pirate ship, 1 imperial ship and 1 trade ship, all roughly the same size $100 sets.
  25. Those light effects are AWESOME!! I need this stuff for my builds!
