Generic Contest Discussion
Jurss replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In all contest will be some limitations which somebody will not like. So, it would be OK to have also some specific PU contest. f.i. limited to one hub. -

Made already cabin with all steering controls, but then realised, that I have issue - front part is connected one stud too low. That means new challenges connecting steering axle and also articulated steering actuators -

Watched @Sariel review of Ferrari SP3. It was mentioned, that new rims are 75mm, and Harley wheels also are 75mm. So it would be possible to combine Harley wheels (combining 2 or 3) with those Ferrari tires? Steering center would be really bad, if only one Harley wheel won't be used, but that would also affect tire.- 5,507 replies

Rear is really OK. I would tray something with panels #3 and #4 on the sides. -

You could cover them with panel, that rear part. Yes, it won't be in exact proportions, but it would add much to the look. -

Old one doesn't work in sun. Also range is pretty limited. With bluetooth it works much stable. Mercedes also has lot of good parts.- 5,507 replies

Looks like at the front is some sbrick buwizz or something From rules but most probably @Jim didn't listed all, as why then PU would be permitted. Or these 3 are really only allowed?
-
That's good. But this rule was implement (I think so) mainly because of - mainly in contests win nice looking MOCs, not so technical (of course, look also is important). As with system parts it is easyer to achive better look, then there is that rule. Maybe next will be specific model team contest (as this is now merged forum).

[TC22] Mini Mobile Crane
Jurss replied to TechnicRCRacer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Interesting retroish (steramlined) design at some sections. -
I'm not judge, but but here whole body is something like model team. Only boom is technic. Yes, others use really some system parts. If there was those some plates on boom, something on the rear around grill, that would be OK.

Thank You all! Now need to finish that larger version. -
I don't want to ruin this nice looking loader, but I'm afraid, that it is too far away from technic category @Jim
