  1. New front tires arrived otherway, no progress, was away from home at xmass,
  2. It would work, but it seems, that front one is turning opposite side. If everything will be placed on big plates, then fornt 16T gear will conflict with that plate.
  3. Maybe somebody could get information from Lego designers, what was in some preproduction models, even pictures, how they looked. Maybe they could put some detailed story, how they come to some particular set. There is something in booklet, even with nice rims, which could fit for other LEGO supercars.
  4. Maybe these could help look won't be as original, but could do the thing
  5. Use one of two (in fact some 5) available types of worm gears. What else?
  6. Some idea of 24L wide axle with independent suspension yes, travel is limited, but for street car could be OK. Need to test in real now. Some 22L could be possible, if some good way is figured out, how to put those swingarms and differential together. Distance between swingarm attachment to chassis is 6L. https://bricksafe.com/files/Jurss/visskas/24L_axle.lxf
  7. I bought it some 2 months ago. Opened just on Christmas. Now it is already disassembled ... I opened box still exited, also red all text in the instruction manual. I built it by original instruction. My plan was to build original one, then proceed with modifications from relevant topic in forum. When building it, there was no exiting moments about engineering level etc., as they were at building Arocs, Class, Volvo loader. I recently built le mans racer, it was also pretty interesting. After building Porsche, I realised, that I have some big, heavy orange thing, and I don't know what to do with. Steering is somehow hard, switching gears by paddles is hard, because of rubbers attached, where there had to be paddles for grip. I gave it to my son, afer some minute it asked - where is the HOG steering? After my answer he went back to hes Star War set (not Millenium Falcon). I am dissapointed. And I was so dissapointed, that I disassembled it yesterday. Why they didn't implemented HOG steering?! It evens seems, that it was there, even close to production, but somebody decided it to remove just before production (there is still hole in the right place). Why they left such a big openings by the front and rear lights?! they are disturbing, even of the car is only meant for display purposes. They made special panels for this car, but didn't had time to somehow fill those holes. If You still considering, don't buy this. Maybe wait for rally car.
  8. I think, not needed. But smaller would be good, to build some tractor with smaller front tires.
  9. Of course, it's pleasure to get also something from sets, but some badge etc. is enough.
  10. For me, dissapointing thing is, that they used small steering wheel. This is too small. It seems also, that large would be too large. Lego have to make some mid sized steering wheel.
  11. It's good, but no more. There should be something unic, special etc. to move forward in Ideas, by my opinion.
  12. yes. And in this You can insert that pin with ball.
  13. You can use there simple 5L beam. also connection closer to wheel are not fixed, which is much bigger problem. steering geometry will change after each turn. As I wrote previously, yo have 2 of these combine it with 13L rack, and you have 11L rack at the same time
  14. I stil like this thing. it is pretty good another technic car set, especially to catch some new technic fans. It looks pretty catching. What about B-model? It seems, that it is maybe more interesting.
  15. It's good cafereacer, but I woun't vote for it.
  16. Ordered today with lot of other things Could try to put some kind of semidependent like this but with some kind of floating differential
  17. With that one "switch" (driving ring and clutch gears) You have, I would say, that it is impossible. Maybe if you make some pure mechanisms with gears, close to the real gearbox mechanisms ... good luck!
  18. Yes, axles also doesn't make significant friction. but you will get more wobbly suspension and steering
  19. That's because pins with friction are used combine that shorter rack with that 11L beam Or, if You have or then You can use long rack this also could be used with long rack or with 2l axle Suspension/steering system is interesting. For parts You have, pretty OK.
