  1. What I meant was: Even though a set from the theme is still being sold, that doesn't mean the theme is still alive. Another good example would be the Kingdoms Joust. It was still being sold during Castle 2013's run, but Kingdoms itself was clearly dead because Castle had taken it's place. There is still one Lotr set being sold (Tower of Orthanc), but since Fantasy Era 2 is coming out January of next year, Lotr is dead. FE2 is taking Lotr's place as Lego's medieval fantasy theme. Also note that just because Lotr is a licensed theme, that doesn't make it immune to the natural cycle of a Lego theme. Why would Lego run two fantasy-based themes at once? They wouldn't.
  2. I doubt that will happen, as Lego can tell that there is a sizable following of it's Castle line : 1800 posts on the thread for the lackluster 2013 sets, and already 818 for the 2016 ones that we don't even have set numbers for yet. This new wave will probably have 7-8 sets to fit the "large" size that many people here have reported. Also, since it's a January wave, we can probably expect a summer wave with a few more sets because I've never seen a theme that was started in January not have a summer wave in the same year. Speaking of new info, do you think we will hear something soon?
  3. So, since there was a Fantasy Era set in stores as late as last year (MMV) did that mean that Fantasy Era was still alive then?
  4. I like that roof. Good work.
  5. This is one of my new favorite MOCS! Perfect in so many ways. Keep it up!
  6. It would be nice to bring back the ghosts, but not as a faction, rather more of a dungeon-lurker type that is neutral in the battle. You basically answered your own question there. Since the Ninjago ghosts are currently the main bad guys of that theme, why would they use ghosts again as the main bad guys for a theme coming out five months later?
  7. Hi and welcome to EB!
  8. Welcome to EB!
  9. Interesting for you to say that, because I'm fairly sure that that Elf in the Lego magazine was the only product to ever be teased or advertised in a Lego magazine and never be seen in the flesh. Anyway, that won't matter if Lego listens to it's fans and makes....... -Non-Minidoll -Non-Fleshie In-house Elves. Clearly that's what we've wanted over the past 10,000 the past few years, and they've managed to miss the target twice.
  10. No luck with my member number, so I took off the first and last digits and got this: http://img.rebrickable.com/img/sets-b/3414-1.jpg
  11. ^ KKI had a dragon The last would be Dark Forest in '96
  12. *Times Travels To Ancient 2008 Thread* *Comes Back* The answer to your question would be yes: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14824&st=0 Look at post #8. Where did those other sets go? "7 big sets, 4 small ones, and one exclusive." In 2009 we only wound up with 3 "Big sets" (If by "small sets" he means promos), and the exclusive (The MMV). This leads me to believe that what was released was supposed to be a part of a larger wave, and the four unreleased ones included Elves. It's also possible that those sets didn't include Elves but TLG had to kill the line no matter what because they were in negotiations for the Hobbit films rights. The Hobbit film was originally set for a 2010 release, so this also makes sense. Interesting..........
  13. Seems legit Really though, that's quite and idea!
  14. The posing on the assassin droid is great! Nice build and good luck!
  15. This looks........ dangerous to live in. Looks great!
  16. This set is probably pricier than many here are speculating. A direct conversion to US dollars puts this set at 124 bucks.
  17. ^ Already debunked on page 9 of this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105102&st=200 I was on mobile and couldn't see the picture, so Robert8's reply scared me for a bit. Nothing to worry about here!
  18. I actually like this set. Although the figs are a little questionable and there is little interior, the exterior detail and what you're getting for only 73 bucks is really great. Nice review!
