  1. Does anyone know what sets that new arch piece has been used in, if any? I'd like to see what it looks like in a model.
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  3. Over in this thread a user brought up the new "column" piece. There are several other ornate parts being released this year, and since Lego always limits a new part to a few sets in it's first year before heavily using it for a new theme, I think that it's quite possible that these new parts are intended for a new Castle Elf faction. If this is confirmed to be for a new Elf faction then I think we can safely say that there will be at least three new factions in the January wave next year. Humans, Elves, and whatever baddies Lego thinks of (probably Goblins). Thoughts?
  4. You know what that piece would be great for? Elven architecture. You might have just found one of the new molds for Castle 2016. Nice!
  5. I'm pretty sure that all of the figures in this set are made with Chinese plastic, as pretty much all chess sets and blister packs use it.
  6. Wow! Purple and white leaves make a great combo! Thanks for sharing!
  7. Welcome, Silvio!

  9. Ninjago is starting to run out of enemies (and good plots for that matter), so I'll give my best shot at what I will will happen in the years before the movie..... Spring 2016: "Dragon People" who live in a giant fortress and guard a mysterious portal to another planet, said to hold the key to stopping all evil. 11 sets, 6 Airjitsu. Summer 2016: The "other planet" is a water planet inhabited by primitive warriors. 8 sets, Airjitsu is cut. Spring 2017: Space Ninja! The Ninja explore the outside of the water planet in search of a way to get home. However, they run into a bunch of aliens. 14 sets. By now, the storyline is officially exhausted beyond belief, setting it up for a soft reboot in the Ninjago Movie. Note: All storyline predictions are from my head. They're pretty bad. I know.
  10. ^ You see this, Lego? We're so information starved here that we've got people attempting to use their psychic powers to tell us about the future! Throw us a bone, guys!
  11. Since the First Order is rumored to operate out of a "Castle" in the movie, do you guys think that it will appear in wave 2? It looks like TLG is making all of the vehicles in one wave, and the buildings and battle-packs in the other.
  12. You did just say that the Sandcrawler wasn't that important, and then went on to say that it "says a lot" that Lotr's most iconic set is selling a few less copies than it. The Sandcrawler being newer does help your case, but not by much, as the Sandcrawler has been out for 1.5 years while Orthanc has been out for two. I would say that it is still fair to compare the sales between the two, especially since, in your own words, the Sandcrawler is a minor vehicle in the Star Wars movies while Orthanc is a major location in Lotr. I do agree with most of post, but I just wanted to point out an inconsistency in there.

  14. These are very nice builds to start off with! I like the first and last ones the most.
  15. While your build is very good, I recommend that you avoid depicting things like this on a public forum in the future. I understand what you are trying to get across, it's just that something like this isn't really fit for a Lego forum. Also, it's best to avoid treading around sensitive topics because............ they're sensitive.
  16. ^ This could be right, but would they let a mistake like that make it onto the shelves? Very odd, as this new game looks to combine multiple themes, just as Dimensions does. What could this be?
  17. Caterham Super Seven is 284 away from 10k. Should get there today or tomorrow.
  18. Before continuing, I would like to make this clear: I am not hating, just being realistic and making connections based on patterns. You're wrong here. Since Lotr impacted Castle (See: Ending of FE1, Kingdoms, childish-looking 2013 sets), why can't Castle impact Lotr? FE2 coming does impact Lotr. It means that Lego is done with the theme. Think about this for a second: Why on Earth would Lego cannibalize its own sales just to keep Lotr? Making an in-house fantasy theme gives TLG more creative freedom as compared to making more sets from a license that had lost it's marketing relevancy and didn't sell that well. It's a fact, and Lotr being Lotr doesn't change it one bit. You cite Lotr being in Dimensions as some sort of sign that it's continuing. Do note that Chima also has a strong presence in the game, and Chima is also over. On top of that, neither the Chima nor Lotr "Fun Packs" contain any new molds or prints, while basically all of the others do. Lego knows that we want more in-house Castle products, so they are giving us more in-house Castle products. The FE1 sets sold well, and since Lotr is over, it's an obvious marketing strategy. A nice, long lasting theme that they can go anywhere they want to with. Plus, they can reintroduce some of the FE1 factions in FE2 to generate more sales and make kids who missed the first go-round happy. Who knows, maybe Lego will find a clever way to make Lotr and Castle fans happy in the new line, since that's what FE1 was all about. That's something to look forward to! It makes perfect sense.
