Very nice! I like how you mixed several themes together and made it look good.

They didn't really release that much in 2014. Just four Hobbit sets, and that's because they had to honor their contract they signed to make toys for the movies. It was basically the bare minimum. Gandalf could have been used because Warner Brothers owns the rights to Lotr, TLM, and Batman, but not others such as Star Wars and Marvel. And finally, although I've said this a million times, why would Lego make new Lotr sets when there's a new Fantasy theme coming out next year?

I realize that, however the final production run of the sets was obviously not June 2013, rather somewhere around early 2014.

Note how all of the themes used in LD are from 2011 or earlier. The game started development about 4-5 years ago, before they started even doing concept art for Elves.

Not quite true. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2nd wave of Lotr sets were still coming out of factories around this time last year. It's only been about a year.
-
That is correct. I game and TV show I am talking about are not related to Dimensions.

Your last two links lead to the Unikitty fun pack...... My personal opinion is that Lego is making Gandalf such a big part of the game for one reason: To clear the factories of spare Gandalfs. He was in a lot of sets, as were Batman and Wildstyle. I'm pretty sure Lego is using the same method that they used for the Castle battle packs from last year. Saying that (and I hate to kill the mood) I don't think it's likely that new characters are on the way.

True enough.

MOC Erebor base on Hobbit the battle of five armies
BrickJagger replied to Migalart's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I thought that the first picture was of the real thing, that's how realistic this is! Stunning. -
^ Pretty reasonable price, too!

Very realistic looking! Good luck in the contest!

That does make sense, and that's why I didn't rule it out, but Scooby-Doo just screams "one-waver" to me.....

^ It's coming out January 2016, so the set leaks should start to pop up around July or August.

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
BrickJagger replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would get them soon because when the EP7 sets come out, it's very likely that a ton of SW sets will be discontinued to make room for them. -
It's actually quite possible that instead of a Chima or Ninjago-like story, it could have more of a Clutch Powers-like story (but just based on the medieval part).
-
Recently a rumor popped up that I would like to report here. Apparently, the guy who worked on the Legends of Chima TV show is now working on a new show for Lego. There is also a rumor of a new MMOG revolving around a new theme. They could be related, although they might not be. In the meantime, I'll just post this here as it falls in line with some things we've heard (And also things I've heard that I can't share). Could this be for Castle? It can't be Star Wars, City, Ninjago, Bionicle,or Super Heroes, and they all have either a TV show, movie series, or MMOG dedicated to them. The only other possibilities I can think of are Scooby-Doo or an entirely new theme.

Check back around mid-May (that's when they announce the winner of the review) and you will find out. It's still possible, but it's very unlikely, so don't be surprised if it loses to something "tamer" like the Piano or Marble Maze. If Minas Tirith doesn't pass review, I think that will also mean the end of this thread, so keep your fingers crossed!

Man, you are just churning out MOCs! I like the way you used the baseplate to complement the build.

I stumbled across that site once, and it's really too bad that it's no longer in use. It had the potential to be a big site, but alas.......

Nope, so much nope..... *Runs away screaming*

Show off your LEGO collection!
BrickJagger replied to brickpreviews's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Those are some nice displays! I'm not able to post pics of my collection right now, but I have at least 252 sets according to Brickset.
