7 Hours is good going. Wish I knew how to operate LDD properly. Looking at your parts list, what colour is Flame yellowish orange when converted to Bricklink colours?
-
Excellent monsinjor. Just what a lego city needs for distibuting all those goods. You must be pretty good at LDD to do this in a day having trucks, warehousing and offices all done.
-
Great Mod of the Fire Brigade into a Coastguard station Bricksan. I bet it was hard collecting all the orange parts you needed. I love how the water craft come out the rear of the station and slip into the water like it does at a lifeboar station. You have just given me the nudge to get photoing and posting my Mod's of the fire brigade although they are still fire stations. But again excellent job you have done there.

Yeh TLG certainly dropped the ball on this one with not having a Forrest Fire Station IMO. They could have made the police one slightly smaller then had a fire station the same size as the police station or slightly bigger. But then again Im biased as I like the city fire them
-
Well maybe they did get the idea from yours.

Cheers for posting these images LT. I too like the cement mixer but for me the jury is still out on the flatbed but it may grow on me. What ones does it remind you of?
-
How good would that have been to get a hospital of similar size to the new Fire Station. I think we can only dream as TLG don't seem to have the Medical theme high on the list of priority in Lego city.

Well its good to see pictures of what the fire series is going to look like even if they are or are not the final production photo's for the dog. 60000 Fire bike is a nice touch, but why didn't TLG bring out a paramedic one this year to go with the ambulance and medical rescue? 60001 Fire car looks ok but would personally use that for cheif attending bigger jobs rather than cat up a tree!! 60002 Fire engine looks like a combined Turntable Ladder (TL)/pump. Looks not to disimilar to the TL engine from the 7208 Fire Station set. 60003 House fire, good that the firefighters are getting a fire to put out. The small Turntable ladder reminds me of the vehicle used as the 7638 tow truck from 2009. i suppose it resembles the smaller type TL's in Germany. 60004 Fire station is a decent size and its good to see both applaince bays/halls side by side rather than being appart as in previous years. Its just a pity the floors of the bays arn't smooth but studded. I also wonder what the small trolley is in bay 2? And about time the chief has been made more distinguishable with the white uniform. Finally from a personnal point of view, I think it would be better if lego replaced the small van the give with a pumper appliance to compliment the Turntable Ladder, which the lorry part looks similar to the appliance from 7945 but with a ladder instead of hydraulic booms 60005 Fire boat is ok 60010 Fire helicopter looks a bit military style albeit in red. Kind of like the sea king search and rescue helicopter. Could we see a new coastgaurd Helicopter soon like this one? but it looks a good set all the same. If there are any down sides I have to this series is the red helmets, I would like to see yellow. Wether they are new styled or not wouldn't matter and the 3 fire engine offerings do the same functions, ie Turntable Ladders. One could have been a Hydraulic Platform like the applaince from station 7945 which IMO is the best fire truck lego has produced. Another they could have done was a rescue truck just so they had different functions. Anyway my son will probably still want them as its for the kids all said and done and us AFOL's can mod them.

Yeh Lego has done well this year. Can't wait to see the images especially to confirm whats with each set.
-
Yeh but the kids would have a better playing scenario with 2 fire engines ie Ladder and pumper than with the small car which doesnt offer much play IMO
-
Your right mattb483, it would have been good if TLG had made a forest Fire Station. WOnder what the reason was that they didn't release one. I also mentioned in a previous post about the repetitiveness of a ladder truck and small car combo on Lego city fire stations. I would rather the had a ladder and a pump combo and a release of a newer version of the Hydraulic platform/ALP from 7945 and a seperate Heavy rescue type truck.

So something along the line of Sonicstarlight's Galaxy Diner and Empire Theatre combo? How good would that be?

Fantastic looking Snow Plough LegoBobby. I liked it when I saw your LDD post, but think it looks even better now, that its brick built. I did wonder how the Plough was attached but can see now from your photo's.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Hope it would be a ski resort! Gets my vote. And if it was to be a ski resort then the village could grow around it, maybe meaning that the winter village would continue to expand, dispelling myths of it ending! -
Great looking snowplough/gritter lorry LegoBobby. The gritters round our way have dark blue cabs. May make one to see how the colour scheme would look in lego, as this type of vehicle is needed in my lego town.

I wouldnt worry too much about the title as I would imagine most if not all know these ambulances as "american style" as oppossed to "european" style like TLC current offering. And good luck with your cuusoo count.
-
These are great looking Ambulances. The detail is very realistic. Hopefully TLC will make an american version someday but for now Ive downloaded your instructions and will make one of yours.

Great MOD's cimddwc. I like the GE, but it always looks more impressive when it has been MODed with the addition of one or more GE, giving it the Harrods look. I like the way you've done your top floor. Very original. I also like the street you have at the front of the FB. Great work.

Hinckley has created a couple of industrial buildings that I would like to see replicated by TLG. They are his old style Brewery and Garage buildings.
-
These 2 ideas would get my vote. These probably wouldnt be to hard to do as they could take ideas from and update the Resq theme from 1998 and Paradisa 1992-97 and the Artic theme from 2000. I would imagine the hardest and most expensive part would be the ski lift.

Nice hospital jonwil. You have included rooms in yours what a real Lego hospital should have.
-
Couldn't agree with you more Big T. I think most people are dissapointed in this hospital and feel that TLG have to give the medical theme the Police theme treatment ie a big Police station sized Hospital that has plenty of rooms, ie operating theatre, ER/A&E, recovery ward etc etc, seperate Helicopter, Paramedic motorcyle and Ambulance. I did a review of the Great vehicle ambulance and in it stated the size of this ambulance compared to other vehicles and it totally dwarfs the medic vehicle that comes with the new hospital. The great vehicle ambulance is even too big for the previous hospital. They maybe should have made it the same size as the previous ambulance that came out at the same time as the last hospital
