Maybe its the Garbage truck that is too small as the ambulance has to be big enough for the medics and patient trolley!

I too can see a train station at some point. You can just see it all the minifigures heading home for christmas holidays to be with friends and family loaded with presents. Could have either a vehicle taxi dropping off at the station or a horse drawn carraige type taxi.

You can buy the parts you need ie for the extra bays etc from lego-PAB or bricklink instead of buying a complete second set.

Yeh Bootz this hobby can hit your pocket a bit. I was the same as you and one bay wasn't enough. My first MOD/WIP is basically a 2 bay version of 10197 but with an extention out the back to both ground and first floor and an additional pole drop. The next will be a 3 and 4 bay one money permitting.

Yeh in Aus, America and France, fires are a major problem in the forest. MODing the police station might be good! Ive just noticed there is to be the release of 4205 Off Road command centre in the forest fire series but no pics yet or other info. So maybe this could be their station.

Hi I am looking for help in identifying the MOC/MOD 10197 Fire Brigrade in the attached picture. I am currently in the process of Modifying a couple of 10197's myself, a 2 bay and a 3 bay station with maybe a fourth station in the pipeline and I was looking for more pics of this one, ie internal, rear, appliances etc, to get some more ideas/insperation. If anyone knows who's mod it is could they please let me know so I can try and contact them or if they have any pics of their own mod's of 10197 they would be willing to show they can mail them to me. I agree. they could have adapted one of the backpacks to accomodate the hose/lance that was with the hazmat collectable minifigure from series 4. Also, They should maybe have given the firefighters the little fuel/oil can tool to resemble the firefighters using the burn back method of firefighting.

A winter sports shop selling ski's, snowboards, helmets and hats, ice skates, ice hockey sticks & helmet's, or a christams decoration shop but it would then mean every year it is a shop. Outside could be a mini carousel for the kids to ride on and or a hot drinks stand!

Yeh and the police could be getting fresh dohnuts from the dohnut stand but this would not go down well with the baker!

I think we could come up with enough ideas for a winter village to keep this theme going for many years to come. Maybe its a pity there is only one release per year but then again thats what probably makes it such a greatly anticipated set. Well I'll throw in my tuppence worth and would like to see a police sttaion, yes even though there are loads of police in the city them but this could have a skidoo, a pub/tavern would be nice and maybe done like an apres ski bar to go with the theme and maybe a medical centre to deal with all those winter related problems like flu and breaks from people falling on the snow and ice.

Hi mobricki those Dark Red pieces are available through the customer services section on the Lego website. I got them no problem from there for my build of CC.

Realy liking what Im seeing in the photo's posted. Cheers to those who have done so. Its good to see a change in the firefighters uniform. I am guessing seeing as its the forest ff's that it resembles a lightweight boiler type suit rather than the PBI gold that many UK fire services and american's use. Not a big fan of the amphibious vehicle. Looks like more suited to a moon theme. But thats my opinion. Like the ambulance though. May modify the minifigures to have all green ubiform like UK paramedics. Like many could be an expensive year.

Yip so they are. Possibly the old life jackets were getting phased out on the Harbour series and these will become the norm now. Prefer these ones tot he old ones.
