Seems very strange that TLG would re-release "City Corner" at the same time as "Town Square" is released when they have shops selling the same items. Looking at the box for the re-release version #60031 the number is not very clear. Does anyone know for sure if its genuine or a hoax?

Now this is looking very impressive. just like an inner city mega station. Is your Fire and ambulance combined like they have in Dublin or separate entity like in the uk?

Neat and effective as always LT.

This is one mega hospital. I really like the way you have done this ie modular. You hit the nail on the head when there are so many different departments that can be added as you originally planned to have only 3 levels, so a modular design allows you to add departments as you see fit. Mind you the helicopter pilot will have to be very skilled to land on that helipad at ground level. Keep up the good work

So if wooootles theory on the run of modulars' continues, then we should see a retail/residential combo in 2014. I personally would like to see a Post office with accommodation above for the Post Master and their family, but then some may say that Post Office would fall under government building which going by the same theory, would not be until 2015. So another retail/residential combo that I'd like to see could be along the lines of the Petshop 10218, but on this occasion having 2 ground floor shops and those being a butcher and a baker shop.

I would definitely be interested in a logging theme as tomdobs55 asks about and what you have suggested, would make an ideal replacement to the mining theme which didn't really appeal to me. May the Log Harvester would come with its own transporter like 4203 Excavator Transporter then we could have the Large Log truck as a separate so you could buy multiple log lorries separately for a a decent truck fleet.

What can I say. This is fantastic. Impressive builds throughout. Only wish I could have a similar city to this. Will you be adding to this in the future?

This is a great Forest Fire Service you have. Looking forward to seeing what else they have equipment wise.

Lego are FINALLY opening a store in Scotland!
scottwb2010 replied to escortmad79's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeh I was there yesterday and back again today with my son. It is good having a store in Scotland and the chance to get parts from the pick a brick wall. Yesterday I got the Cinema and some parts that I needed from the wall then some parts for my son today as well as him building plenty of minifigures and a couple of sets. Hopefully the PAB wall will change over time as loads of 1x1 plates and 2x4 bricks. But good all the same and very helpful staff. -
New Lego stores opening in 2013

Cheers for the explanation guys. Looks like 2 trips in short succession to Glasgow is on the cards. Looking forward to having the first store in Scotland and having an opportunity to use a Pick-a--brick wall to get some much needed parts. -

What is the difference? Are there no offers at the soft opening? -
This is a brilliant MOC of a Modular Police station. I would buy this any day. Think this is what a lot of us out there are hoping TLG will produce or something similar anyway. Thanks for posting.

Hi Andy D I would start with the fire brigade first, not just because Im a bit biased towards it but personally it seems right to build them in order they were released. This way you learn the "latest" build techniques that came with each years release rather than starting building the newest then when you go to build an older one there isn't so much fun.

Some great sets coming up mid year. Looks like the control tower in set 60022 is going to be busy as someone at TLG is flooding the skies with Planes and Helicopters this year. lol For me more than likely the Coastguard sets will be a must but will pass on the Grand Prix truck. And at least one of the town square sets and maybe get parts to build another bike shop to join them together like in the lego display we saw a few months back.

MOC Modular Building - LBGS (Lego Bank of the Golden Scorpion)
scottwb2010 replied to niteangel's topic in LEGO Town
Really nice bank you have created there niteangel. You've managed to create quite a lot going on in a 16 wide building over the 3 floors. Thanks for sharing with us.- 31 replies

Looks even more awesome now. The Maersk ship gives a true reflection of the size of this build. Great job

I too like the loggers. Pity the hadn't made a couple of sets to go with the like a log truck
-
I think you were right to go with a 48x48 base as IMO a 32x32 would not do this building justice
-
It wasn't just time you spent on this but I guess a fair few HKD's? God knows how many parts are used in your build. I hope TLG bring out a Post Office in the modular/creator series as Grand Post Offices look great re-created in lego

WOW! This is one big MOC. Very impressive. When I looked at the photo of the real building first, my first thought was that to recreat this would take some effort, but when I looked at your MOC pics I was amazed at how you managed to get so much detail. How long did it take you to do this build? Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is MEGA. Thanks for posting. The tower is great. Thats a lot of bricks. Well done to your group

I was thinking that myself and would look better with a change of colour. Also what would it look like if you did away with the first set of rear wheels as IMO the first set seam too close to the front wheels and resembles a 6x6. Just a thought.

Nice updates rriggs since I last commentted after you first uploaded pics of this station. I like that youve change the bi-fold rear doors for the roller shutters and the extention on the side makes the building look better rather than a rectangular block. Interior is well detailed. Liking the Control/despatch room also. Keep up the good work.
