meyerc13 I see where your coming from and agree there are many similarities but on looking at the initials on the vehicles number plates the hospitals designers initials is JL and the fire station is HA. But as you make out there is no originality realy in the hospital
-
Hopefully they would commit alot more effort/resources to a modular Hospital. Great review, unfortunatley TLG has let us down with this much anticipated Hospital
-
Hopefully TLG will pick up on this and make improvements on the leg prints when the run future batches of this hospital. Maybe they could do this doctor as a future CMF. For now the nurse from the CMF series 1 will stay in the 7892 hospital and the surgeon from CMF series 7 will have to stay there too as there is no operating theatre in the new one. Cwetqo, is the patient stretcher a tight fit in the back of the ambulance/paramedic response unit?

I too think its strange have a green base inside the hospital/medical centre and ambulance bay. Would have thought the ambulance bay would have been a flat tile type surface like the Fire Stations. This hospital has less rooms than the previous hospital but at least you don't have to drive the patient up a hill to the A&E/ER. Like most I reckon more could have been done if the Helicopter and Ambulance/paramedic response van had been sold as seperates like the last time TLG did a medical theme. Guess I'll get it and use it as an Ambulance station

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
It would be dissapointing if Lego pulled the plug on the winter village. Maybe not so many people purchased the Post Office in the hope to pick it up at a cheaper price as not long after the release of this TLG had the winter toy shop for sale at a knockdown price. I hope they bring out a Winter Sports shop. -
So the new hospital isn't up to much size wise. More of a drop in doctors surgery. To me if I get this it will be an ambulance station as it has the garage and downstairs will be office/despatch, upstairs the ambulance crews accomodation. As has been written in this and other threads, Lego have mist a great chance to build a decent hospital for all those minifigures in our towns/cities. As a minimum it should have been the size of the last 2 police stations and has been previously suggested come in modules so people could add as many different hospital depts as they wished. Heres hoping for the next time.

Hi Managed to find it. It is built by Jasper Joppe Geers and the post I saw his Post office pictures are from here. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35545&st=0&p=620598&fromsearch=1entry620598

Hi Looking for a bit of assistance again. I can't remember if I saw it here or imagined it, but I was looking for a posting, probably a good few months back now of a Modular Post office. I think it may have been a corner style build and had a loading bay with yellow garage doors. Ive tried to trawl through the search function but it throws up too many options with post in it to look through. So if anyone can help point me towards it, either through a link or whatever, that would be great. Thanks in advance

Apple Store, Gym, Restaurant, Bar and night Club - Oh My!
scottwb2010 replied to AwesomeTaylor's topic in LEGO Town
Great stuff Awesome Taylor. You really have got these 16 wide modulars down to a fine art. Keep up the great work. -
S@H in the UK still have these available. Just ordered another one, but not for selling on. I'm in the process of doing a MOD on a couple of these, adding more bays than the original one. IMO the Fire Brigade is one of the best modulars. Lets hope they bring out a modular Police Station in the future and maybe up the modulars to 2 a year.
-
Hi AwesomeTaylor. The minute I saw SeanM's request if anyone had done a 16 wide GE, I imeadeatly remembered your 16 wide creations. Hope you didn't mind me pointing him towards your posting and pics. I personally will be copying/creating your 16 wide Fire Brigade which is great.
-
Have a look a this thread titled "Official Modulars adapted to 16 wide". There is a great GE done there. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59136&hl=16 wide&st=0

Oh go on! I would be interested to see how you did the cab doors

As for the hospital, I also find that underwhelming, even more so I agree. I wonder what TLG's reason is for not making a more substantial Hospital on the size of the police station. I wondered when TLG would bring out a medical helicopter on the lines of the Fire 7206 and Police 3658 examples. Just a shame it comes with the hospital. Maybe this would have been better in bright yellow which is common for medic helicopters. Anyway better not complain. Also in the car park picture, is that a new police car (with sloping rear) at the scene of the cyclicts accident?

Hi. Just wondering if you will be uploading the LDD plans/instructions for this fire engine to your LDD site for downloading?

Hi BrickBox! This is a great replica of the iveco chassis TL. I remember Kent in England bought 2 or 3 of these, one of which is your real photo. Never liked the look of them but guess they served a purpose which is their real purpose due to being low profile. I know what you mean about the ladder collapsing etc as I have my own lego built TL and the ladder sections can be a nightmare. It would be good if TLG brought out a ladder that is half the length again longer or even double of the current ladder. I like your PPV fan too. Was wondering how to do one of these. In the uk, the nozzle is the adjustable end the water comes out but the main hand held peice is called a branch. I think they use the term nozzle for this whole piece in the US! But you are right by calling your one on the cage a monitor as thats what its called over here when its not hand held. Hope you make more fire related trucks

Ok. I miss understood it. I thought it was for a link where you had all your LDD mod's and moc's
-
I will post pics once I have built them and of the station they will run out of, once I have completed that too. But for now its a case of collecting all the parts.
-
They are smart looking engines. Might have a go at doing them myself
-
Hi. Have you tried to create the engines you have done in LDD above?

LDD file for my fire engine MOC
scottwb2010 replied to BrickBox's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Cheers for this BrickBox. I had downloaded it as an HMTL but hadn't gone right through to the end. You've just saved me a lot of work going through the instructions counting. -
Some very good entries this year. Here's my votes; 4. Inn by Dix = 1 6. Bicycle shop by Darkblane = 1 10. Moutain Guide Stn by Priovit70 = 1 16. Winter Sports Shop by soundwave_SW = 1 27. Winter Mercantile by dede_la_fee = 1

I think we know the result of that. IMO the unofficial one wins hands down. I too got these instructions before we all realised that the person selling them was not the original builder so felt guilty.

great that you did this in LDD for all to share BrickBox. How do you get a parts list for it?
