  1. I think davidmull is a little bit obsessed
  2. It can sustain a higher current I think, allowing, e.g., one receiver output to power 2 L motors (as in 9398).
  3. Eh, true. I didn't mean the rims, I meant the wheel covers :)
  4. Cool idea. Have you considered using the 8653 and 8145 wheel covers?
  5. Thanks for the parts list! I've submitted the MOC to Rebrickable, should be added soon. By the way, this MOC uses the v2 IR receivers, but I guess v1 works as well? Sorry if this question has been asked already.
  6. Yeah, I don't mind the colour scheme at all. Makes it look lively and quite beautiful. Now to try the B model ...
  7. Finished building this set, it's quite good! Looks a lot better in 'real life' than on pictures. The skip dumping/lowering mechanism works flawless, and the lever to switch between the two functions also works well. Lots of nice new parts included, too. Recommended.
  8. Looks impressive! Well done! P.S:. let a.u.b. iets beter op je spelling, je posts zijn daardoor soms moeilijk te lezen ;)
  9. How does this compare to Jurgen's PF backhoe?
  10. I stand by my earlier hypothesis: the A25E is EOL and Volvo did not want an outdated model referenced, the missing axle is taken for granted.
  11. Green engine pieces, yellow hubs, bucket. That's all the new parts I've spotted so far. Probably also uses some of the new pieces introduced this year, such at the 5L axle with stop, dog bone frame, etc.
  12. I guess that's fair, when it was released it was indeed quite special. Retrospectively it isn't all that.
  13. I think A25E is EOL, that's why they went for the A25F, even though they're technically 2 wheels short.
  14. I couldn't find any pictures, and Volvo's brochures do not mention a 4x4 A25F. Would be curious to see a picture of it, then we can put this 'debate' to rest.
  15. Seriously? It was rather cheap for me. But then again, I already owned 2 x 8043, 8265 and 8253, so I guess that saved me a lot of parts to buy. Or are the cylinder brackets pushing up the price?
  16. Just build Designer-Han's hauler if you want a proper one to go with the 42030
  17. I 100% agree with you, Kumbll, as I stated earlier. It's big and looks good, but that's about it. It's not mechanically complex, nor uses any interesting build solutions. It's all rather straightforward. It's nice to have, but definitely not worth paying a huge premium for.
  18. Don't buy it secondhanded, instead assemble it through Bricklink. That's what I did. It's a cool set, but IMO not worth paying a very high premium for. Only problem is that the pneumatic brackets might be expensive (they weren't yet when I bought them).
  19. Is it just me or do those 5 x 7 LBG liftarms really stick out like a sore thumb in the frontend? Wish they were available in yellow. Anyway, awesome video.
  20. Looking good! Second the black wheels.
