  1. Looking forward to both, keep up the good work!
  2. 42028 looks pretty damn good. 42029 is growing on me.
  3. Ofcourse. Some models can be very mechanically complex without using PF motors, whereas some sets that incorporate the PF system are mechanically very simple (8275 is indeed a good example of the latter). We don't get mechanically complex sets (i.e., with complex geartrains) with PF motors because they typically don't perform very well due to friction and what not, and TLG obviously only releases models that perform well. 8043 was a bit an exception I guess, and we all know what happened: TLG had to do a costly recall action because the LA's weren't up to task. I think that might have put TLG off from releasing complex PF-enabled sets.
  4. Not a very mature response Anio. He's entitled to his own opinion. Anyway, IMO it really depends on the MOC in question. Some MOCs are great with motorization, others are better without any motors. I think Crowkillers' cars are a good example of the latter category.
  5. 8653 isn't that hard to bricklink together. It's worth it too, beautiful model.
  6. Agreed, seems perfectly suited for it. I guess TLG doesn't like taking chances anymore.
  7. Just finished 8049's B model, I actually prefer it to the A model by a large margin. Clever use of parts, and good use of pneumatics.
  8. I just can't get over how messy that frontend (the bit between cab and bucket) looks. Or is it just me?
  9. Welcome to the forum! That's not a bad starter-collection you have there. Might I suggest 8043 and 9396 next, if you can find them for a decent price?
  10. That grader kicks ass, desperately needs some bigger wheels though! Here you can find plenty.
  11. Haven't tried it, but I'm sure it will improve it. Wish it was so easy to improve the suspensions of 8458 and 8461 ...
  12. I thought 9392 was rubbish, I much prefer 8262. 9396 is great though, agreed. Also, if you like 42007, check out its superior older brother, 8051: Best Technic bike ever IMO.
  13. Finally finished 8458, thumbs up for this classic beauty as well! Must say that, although it is less realistic-looking, it's even more beautiful than 8461. Love those metallic silver panels.
  14. Can't be much worse than the A model of 42008 Just kidding, I'm curious to see what you come up with!
  15. Congrats, well deserved entry in the Hall of Fame!
  16. Those power pullers look badass, but I guess it affects the performance negatively? Or didn't you RC it?
  17. Perhaps models should not even be nominated, but should rather attract attention by themselves in their respective topics. Great MOCs will automatically get a lot of hype/praise.
  18. Good point. Maybe we need a separate 'ye olde classic Technic MOCs' thread
  19. 8053's B model is pretty damn cool.
  20. Well, that's your opinion. I know a lot of people who have been inspired by it
  21. Well, it's a definite Technic classic that inspired a lot of people. I'd say the rule only applies to new MOCs
  22. An exception can be made for that Demag crane by Jennifer IMO, it's a Technic classic, even though it uses some custom parts.
  23. Damn those boats are gorgeous. A blend of Technic and Model Team at its finest.
  24. Good job! Looking forward to more of your MOCs!
