  1. Oh man, it's going to be so hard to find a winner. So many great entries. Really one of the best contests I've seen on EB so far.
  2. That chassis looks badass, very interested to see what you come up with Barman! Maak er wat moois van
  3. I've just finished the chassis and about to start the bodywork and I can already tell this is another masterpiece. I take my hat off to you, Madoca, you're a damn fine Lego Technic engineer. Oh, and it's going to look real purty in black
  4. Do the pullback racers next Alasdair, this place could use some more of your weird Scottish brand of humour.
  5. I'll skip the model and just buy the tires probably It lacks too much functionality (no steering, no suspension, no way to RC it) to be interesting to me, and I don't really care for the minifigs (Technic 4 lyfe, u no).
  6. I actually missed a fourth option in the poll: "who the hell is Jim?". I only know Gekke Ted.
  7. An instant classic IMO, move over 8043 and 8258.
  8. To summarize the previous discussion for you: Hall of Fame is a bit of a misnomer, it's more like a MOC index. Which is handy to have. A good entrypoint for people looking to go beyond TLG's official sets.
  9. I have 5 remote control units, 1 speed remote control unit, 2 V2 IR receivers, 4 V1 IR receivers, 4 polarity switches, 5 battery boxes, 2 rechargeable LiPos, 6 PF LEDs, 10 M motors, 4 XL motors, 1 Servo, 3 L motors, 7 50 cm extension cords, and 5 20 cm extension cords But I bet someone like Blakbird has 20 times as much ... he keeps all his MOCs built, I only build one at the time.
  10. I think you're being overly harsh there, but I agree that the design is lacking in several aspects. I won't be buying the set either, I'll just order the new parts online. Already got way too many PF elements anyway (luxury problem I guess).
  11. I feel the nose section (in front of the front wheels) should be quite a bit longer. The slope of the hood should be less inclined. Nice job though!
  12. Nice video Sariel, your camera skills are getting better and better. Would've liked to see a shot of it owning a cat though
  13. Nice review, the DELUXE edition of this is on my to-build list. Already got all the parts!
  14. Is it possible you could work with sheo to improve the instructions, Blakbird? I think adding part callouts (i.e., what parts to use for a given step) would be a useful improvement, reading your experience.
  15. Nice Model Team collection you have there!
  16. I guess so, otherwise NKs Concept Car would definitely be up there
  17. Well, if you need someone to help, give me a call.
  18. Any update on the instructions? Seems like something that'd be right up Blakbird's alley.
  19. Explained here. Basically a number of steps are required to add a conductive layer to the plastic, following which regular electroplating can be used to add a chrome finish.
  20. I've got plenty of white soft axles, so definitely looking to build this. Any parts list available?
  21. Very nice indeed. Could use a bit more chrome though
