  1. Well, I'll eat my hat if this doesn't win. Just downloaded the LXF file to figure out how the gearing works. I'm also guessing it leans on the antennae, and when the 'sensing' antennae drop over an edge the perpendicular wheel makes contact with the surface and turns the whole thing away from the edge?
  2. Brilliant. Well done, and very original.
  3. Ahh, duh. I forgot the Basic edition doesn't have any green parts. Anyway, thanks for avoiding the green 3L thick liftarm, even in the Deluxe version. It's just too rare, even rarer than 19L black soft axles it seems.
  4. Ah, Jurgen actually warned me about this error when he sent me the instructions. I guess he forgot to tell you
  5. Part of set 8041, one of the worst Technic sets ever IMO. Nice tires though.
  6. Eh, I thought the Basic version was supposed to use 3x0,5 liftarms (because they're not rare) and the Deluxe version the 3x1 liftarms (these are very rare)? Now I'm confused :) It seems both use 3x0,5 liftarms in the instructions. Anyway, I don't mind, the 3x1 liftarms are impossible to obtain.
  7. They're expensive, be prepared to shell out at least 53 EUR. Got two now.
  8. Yeah, I've said it before, the Lego design team should invite Madoca around for a cup of coffee. His creations are simply a level above the rest.
  9. I'm so glad you live in the USA and not Europe, Blakbird
  10. I think you mean 2 x 14L white soft axles? From 8461. I don't see 3L green thick liftarms in the parts list for the DELUXE version? Same for the flex axles, by the way. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=1001bricks
  11. Sorry I bought up a lot of the small green and orange stuff. There's a Bricklink shop in France that still has a lot though, cheap shipping costs too.
  12. I've made a PDF out of the excellent photo instructions, you can download the PDF here.
  13. Whoops, you're right. Anyway, I think the 9398 tires would look too skinny.
  14. Don't think he wants to cut off the ends of 5.5 axles with stop :P
  15. Well, they're working on it. Making instructions is a time-intensive job. Be patient
  16. Awesome car! Great job capturing the lines, that view from above is amazing. Always glad to see another MOC of yours, they're so well designed.
  17. I've started collecting parts for the DELUXE edition, only short 3 parts. Have to say that it indeed uses some quite rare parts, so unless you have a big collection or lots of money to spare, stick to the BASIC edition. By the way, didn't even know that 3794 (jumper plate) came in trans-clear. There also does not seem to have been a set that uses it, yet people sell it on Bricklink. If Vlaar, De Jong and Van Persie can play, I think we can beat Argentina. Kinda scared of facing Germany in the final now though ...
  18. Yeah, you have to be a bit lucky. I got a near-mint 8466 set for only 60 EUR, little did the seller know that the tires alone are worth 80 EUR easily By the way, Blakbird, thanks for doing these MOC reviews. Especially now that creators (rightly so) charge for instructions, reviews are a good thing.
  19. Nicely designed! I'd say it's Model Team so it belongs here.
  20. Keep a good eye on Marktplaats.nl for the 8466 set, that's how I got four PPs for cheap.
